Skrill - Missing Money a Mystery

Hey All

Just wondering whether any other Skrill users have come across the following in the past or recently please?

I had a balance of just over £5 GBP, which has been sitting there for about a week.

Yesterday and today I made 2 small withdrawals from BetAt (NNR entertainment) total of £105.00, these were paid no problem and my Skrill balance correctly showed as just over £110.00

I had made no Skrill deposits, nor used my Skrill Mastercard for about 10 days (maybe longer)

I logged in later in the day with a view to double checking balance before depositing at Dr Vegas Casino.

My balance is now at £101.72 ?????

So almost £9 disappeared into thin air

As far as I am aware all Skrill charges are taken at the time of transaction...

Any ideas/pointers please?

Ps: I share my Skrill details with no-one at all and nothing shows on mini statement.

Cheers

Jon

Happened to me a while back and thats my only explanation for it. I totally forgot about it so i never asked skrill if that was really the reason. :eek2:

Are all Skrill fees paid in pounds or Euros when it comes to the mastercard?

Slightly OT...

Goes to show how much the exchange rate £/€ has moved in recent months. Used to love playing in Euros now once you add in the small bit of commission VISA charge its virtually the same!

Sometimes i get the feeling they charge whatever they want. :D Used the Mastercard at an onlineshop. Located in Germany, Item shipped from Germany, price was in €, my skrill account is in €. But skrill decided to use GBP and i had to pay more than in €. Since then i only use the card to get cash at an ATM.

This seems wrong.
What currency is your Skrill card?

If the shop charged in € and both your Skrill account AND Skrill card is in € I would definitely ask for any excess currency fees to be refunded.

Was it amazon.de? The system recognises that it's a card from a British company and assumes it's in GBP but you can select EUR manually. Same thing with PayPal. I fell foul of this once but now I'm alerted whenever I buy something with the card.

IIRC it was indeed Paypal. It was only a small purchase so we are talking about ~5€ and i forgot about it and didnt contacted skrill.

Thanks Hedge

edit: While were on it, anyone else noticed the new login? First i thought it was a one time security check but it seems you have to do it everytime you login now

Not every time but I have this kind of regularly too. For some reasons I have this more often on Fridays.
