How about these for slot stats at SimonSays casino:mad:

I wagered $130 and played 660 spins on As the Reels turn 3

It took 90 spins before my first winning bet, yes 90!:gunmen:
I went 70 spins without winning a single cent!
In 660 spins I had less than 30 winning bets,yes 30! (<1 in 22 spins)
in all I had less than 70 spins that yielded any return at all!(<1 in 9 spins)

I hit the free spins 6 times paying an average of 20XBet
One set of free spins payed zero (bare in mind the first Two reels have expanding wilds)

I hit the bonus round 3 times paying an average of 42Xbet

I wagered around $285
RTP was around $155

That is a 54% return over 660 spins even after hitting 2 good bonus round and the free spins 6 times and it would have been much worse but it gave a few wins Once I was down to $10

54 percent!

Absolutely disgusting but I'm an idiot for taking a bonus and playing there because I have had similar results before.
I dare say my entire slot returns are less than 60% maybe even less than 50% and that is what I call ripped off.

Thanks for the entertainment SimonSays that was really fun being screwed over :axeman2:

If you think that slot is bad, try the new Western Wilderness. With line pays of $.02 and up, it will take you an awful long time to win back a $.20 bet.

I was playing off a free chip tonight at Sloto and hit 4 mixers on Jacques' Pot. Paid a whopping $.04. :yahoo:

I just had to laugh. :lolsign: And I have been spending my hard earned money on a slot that will pay me $.04 for a bonus round. What a big dummy!!

Deb,

I don't know about the difference in payouts but for me since the first day where I won $40 on it, it has not paid anything. I went through 3 deposits and never even got the free spins.

But good luck. Hope you hit thousands.

Thanks for the stats - you're right that was a diabolical session. :(

Personally I don't like any of the story i-Slots - the payouts on them are generally crap. Though ATRT3 does seem to have more potential than the first 4, which means it's probably higher variance...

Re the software; I don't know for sure, but I would be totally gob-smacked if individual Rival casinos had any influence over the pay-back of any of their games.

Ah, so this is Simon Screws casino. No offence Sandra. Just joking. 3 months ago, I played ATRT3 and got crap for nearly 200 spins and all of a sudden the feature appeared and I got more than what I lost in the previous spins. However, like Scary Rich you are frustrated when you get nothing spin after spin and when you finally see the feature, you get crappppp.

I think you're supposed to lose...so everything went as planned!

Yes, but you are supposed to get a fair return of around 95%. It seems very odd that there are just so many naked spins being reported on these Rival slots. With this many naked spins, free spin rounds ARE going to pay "crap" most of the time, so where the hell does the "fair" RTP come from?

Do these slots have a large amount of the RTP coming from a very few, and very large, hits in the bonus round - this seems to be the case with Scary Rich. This would mean that the vast majority would get an RTP of 50% or less to feed the very small minority who hit the really big returns.

We know that Rival themselves can tweak these slots (this was stated to have been done earlier), they are not set in stone as they are at other software suppliers, including MG, but not RTG, who can also tweak the RTP within a 93% to 97% range.

Hey Rusty

I have a question. Its not a judgement and Im truely just curious. How come you didnt move to a different game after the first 100 spins? I dont understand why you would even continue to 660 with payout percentages being so obvious after the first 100 or so? Was it a test? If so, than I understand:)

I play Rival slots regularly and it seems that while the overall RTP is roughly the same as before the variance for several slots have changed dramatically. Naked spins are plentiful and for those slots with free spin features, the payouts are crap. Take Hobo's Hoard for example. The free spins yielded $0 on more than a dozen occasions out of about 50. The pay tables have also changed. Previously in Grandma's Attic, you get the cost of your spin back for 2 scatters. Now they pay nothing. Given that 2 scatters appear quite a lot at this slot, the variance has definitely increased. I am not sure whether anyone connected with Rival will comment on this.

Many of us do this. It's the thought that this CAN'T be happening...it will hit anytime now, if I leave now...I will miss the "big" one etc, etc etc..

I, personally play a slot UNTIL I hit a bonus round and then move on cause of the investment cost..no sense dumping $50 bucks and then leaving...without a bonus round...and usually when I get to the last few dollars, it always hits (98%) of the time and I get back more than I spent...but then I spin once or twice more and move on...for the next game and bonus round..

Cashed out more than I can say doing it this way lately...I guess it's the challenge that continues to make us play and spin till we are broke or win the darn bonus round :D Then we are proven it WAS the right thing to do (stay).. most of the time  but not always

It turned into a test :p

I started playing for entertainment value as usual and planned to play other slots but when you don't get a winning spin (NOT FEATURE JUST WIN) for nearly 100 spins then I became curious.
Even though I know these slots are weighted I wanted to find out how the free spins would play because I know you can often get the Two expanding wilds on the first Two reels and reasonable returns.

From the 60 free spins I probably hit the expanding Wilds about 5 or 6 times in total and never both at the same time.
I can not put this down to natural variance because the bonus rounds were
also rare and the lack of winning spins was exceptional.

I am certain that the payout can be adjusted at any time and is adjusted for bonus play because I have had similar results at Rival when playing a bonus.
We are not talking about an 85% return here and not hitting bonus rounds we are talking near 50% with bonus rounds, crazy.
As for weighted just play and see how many times you hit the first Two scatters of any type and yet fail to hit the bonus or free spins.
I would guess I hit them maybe 60 times and didn't hit the Third Once.
So obviously it is either dynamically weighted or it uses "near miss grouping" described by someone in another thread.

I have come to accept that no software provider offers a truly random online slot game and it is open to debate if these slots can be described as fair as some Casinos may well still have 95% RTP with the possibility of winning and offer good entertainment but then again the RTP can obviously be adjusted and the whole online slot industry is based on a lie.

I have complained long and hard about this lie in many threads and offered plenty of evidence and logic to back up my claim but you will all have your own experiences and thoughts which I respect.

I still get entertainment value from online slots and will continue to play but when I get right Royally ripped off I don't feel entertained just robbed and dismayed with the whole experience.

It has nothing to do with the money (I low roll) or losing (even when I win I play off the balance 99% of the time) it is about getting software to perform as advertised or even if they can not bring themselves to do that at least give the player a fair return and chance.

Thank you all for your responses.
Sorry for such a long post.

Rusty,

I tried to get the same point across to a casino manager not long ago.

It's not the winning or losing. It's getting shafted that PO's me. I know that my chances of winning are slim to none but I just want to play and not feel like I am being hoovered. If the casinos/software providers would just get it in there heads that if they would fix it so you would hit something every so often you would keep playing and depositing instead of taking all your money in a short period and then telling you "Sorry about that, just not very lucky".
At least give us a fighting chance of winning. Don't make us feel like the proverbial "snowball in hell" every time we deposit.

I agree but of course they would see it in different light, after all we are still depositing
But yeah I hardly play at Rival because of results like these and I only low roll because of results like these (I have never been high roller but I used make higher bets and deposits) and I deposit less often because of results like these so does it really benefit them?
Certainly in the short term but long term I think it can only have a negative effect.

I haven't been depositing at Rival casinos for awhile - my last few deposits got sucked up in literally minutes. I'm not independently wealthy, I can't afford to go through my deposits that fast! Since my gambling budget is pretty low these days I only deposit where at least I stand a slight chance of maybe not winning or cashing out, but at least getting a little bit of playtime for my $. It's supposed to be fun after all. ;)

Same here. I just spent the last few weeks playing only where my cash outs seem more often lately, and Simon Says is not on that list. I kept getting the normal email promo's from Simon Says. Yesterday I received one that said "we miss you".. yeah right  So I took the 60% offer and for what is most definitely my last deposit at Simon Says I invested $20 from my profits of the last few weeks to give it "one more try."

I have never played deposits there that fast! At least before there was a little entertainment before the whole deposit was gone. And my favorites "Hole in One" which always kicked in a bonus round here and there or some of those wild eagles to bring me back into the game,, was Colder than cold it was DEAD. "Winter Wonders" those Wild Santa's were always around before but none and the free spin sleighs.. not even two in a spin (to make double my bet) ...DEAD.... "Future Fortunes" No Ouija board scatters.. not one of the two bonus rounds just DEAD like the rest.

With not one bonus round. Not one free spins round. The $32.50 was gone in flash! and it wasn't entertaining at all! I love the bonus round in "Hole in One" but I literally haven't seen it for the past few months!!
I am used to playing Simon Says for entertainment only because I have never had the pleasure of a cash out there. But this last visit all I hear Simon saying is "it's time for a Rival Change" at the least!

Yeah, me too

I have never had a rival cashout so I uninstalled them months ago. I dont even know the last time I played. I keep getting those "we miss you" emails too. They miss our money, not us

The only two places I ever made a cashout are SlotoCash Very Fast and Mayan Fortune. So So fast.
I'm on Vac for afew weeks and the money is going to a better use than to try to make a Mil at the casino.

Doing day trips with the kids before school starts.
The kids start next week.& after that the Wife & I only we are going to Canada for afew days.& we will be going to Aruba this winter.
Thanks Rusty
First year for my son.
I don't want to go off topic but did everyone see the freshman class that will be going to Uconn this year? OMG over crowded school this year.

Simon says: give me some money.

Simon says: give me some more.

Simon says: come back to my casino.

Simon says: make a deposit.

Simon says: spin the reels.

Simon pays: f**k all

Insanity n. doing the same thing over and over again even if the results are undesired.

Yes, I am insane, well spotted
