Should Freeroll Tournament Winnings be handled same as no deposit bonuses?

Here is something I would like to read your opinions about:

I love to play the free slot tournaments at Grand Eagle Casino from the Genesys Group. I won several times some smaller amounts and played these winnings off while trying to meet the WR. Last month I managed to meet the WR and tried to cash out the allowed maximum of 100 €.

Unfortunately my withdrawal has been denied by the casino manager, following these terms:

TOURNAMENT TERMS

By registering for any one of our tournaments, the player agrees to the general as well as relevant promotional terms and conditions of Grand Eagle Online Casino.

Our standard Bonus Terms and Conditions will apply to any bonus money won during the freeroll tournaments.


BONUS TERMS & CONDITIONS

8.3.1 A free player bonus can be claimed only once per person, PC and IP address, family, household address, e-mail address, credit card/debit card number, and environments where computers are shared (e.g. universities, schools, public libraries, workplace etc).

8.4.1 A player is only permitted to claim one free bonus offer on their casino account, where no deposit is required. This includes free money offers and free spins offers. Should a player claim more than one free bonus offer (in succession without making a purchase at the specific casino in question), any winnings generated from this bonus will be null and void.

They followed their terms, sure, but I never cashed out about bonus money, I did two bonus free deposits earlier at this casino without cashing out and they take every lost tournament win as a no deposit bonus that should have been followed by a bonus free deposit.

Quite unfair and surely disappointing in my opinion. Am I right or what do you think about these terms? Your input please.

Hi Seaman,

Yes, I think it is wrong, well to a degree anyway. If a member is doing nothing BUT the freerolls and not making any deposits, they may have a valid argument for their "bonus" policies. But, if it is a depositing player, it sounds kind of crappy.

I played a few of those tournaments, a couple of years ago. Once, I won first place, I think it was a $100 prize. Then I found out about the wagering AND the max cash-out.

I played the win, never coming close to the wagering and never went back to that casino group. I was thinking if I had only won $10 or $20, it wouldn't have been so bad, but wagering $100 X amount of times to cash out $100 is for the birds.

But, I am not crazy about their slots so I don't even miss them.

If it were a freeroll with no continues or rebuys well OK a 5-10x WR is acceptable but for freerolls with plenty of continues to lift the top prizes WRs are ridiculous. The FL Group is one group that slaps 30x/40x WR on freeroll winnings and I don't like it one bit so I hardly buy any continues having been stung once by buying 100 continues and lifting a prize of $150 ie a loss of $50 only to have to meet $6000 of wagering. No thanks.

Thanks for your input everyone. I wasn´t sure about my opinion, it does not happen often that I break the T&C´s, even if they are stupid rules. But with this one, I really feel fooled.

I fully understand you. I discovered the same rule at Inetbet, except that you can use two no deposit bonuses between deposits.
So winnings from a free tourney is a no deposit bonus.

How I love those MG's and NetEnt casinos I play at. Their rules are so much easier regarding everything.
