Hi,

Does anybody know what's happening with RTG's official website ?
There is just one page left with their email and physical address for those who would like to become RTG's licensee:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

I remember their website use to have plenty of pages, about 200 hundred according to Google (sometimes it says 207, sometimes it says 172):
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

All these pages are still available, you can access them if you click on the links.
Are they just revamping the website, but they should have the actual one available during the process or is something happening with RTG ?

Thats not a website anymore- as Alexandre said - its reduced to an e-mail contact to Hastings.
Absurd!
Very curious, whats going to happen here.

Nice Marketing Slogan!

Realtime Gaming: "The most profitable online casino software solution on the net".

wondering which players are likely to play there :eek2:

Not so long ago this was a full page, including a list with all the client casinos on it, now nothing.

it's "most profitable" because most players should want to play at it. the rtg software is sweet; it's fast and offers a lot of good games. only problem is the casinos that run it. apart from no doubles on vp, rtg software itself is solid and might easily be the choice of anyone who didn't know the shadow that follows the name "RTG".

RTG software is essentially good kit, and as you say the "bad apple" licensees have been putting players off for years.

However, the solution lies, and has always been, in RTG's own hands because they have been less than diligent and player-friendly in sorting out the many casino-level problems and efficiently policing their licensees.

That "shadow" is at least partly RTG's own fault.

I'm not agree.

The fastest casino software is Playtech. RTG take a long to load, Playtechs loads in seconds.

One other problem I see with the RTG software is that each operators is able to setup is own payout ratio. Meaning you can change payouts rate from 75%-99% depending on your taste! This is how I understand "The most profitable online casino software solution on the net" to be a truly statment  but I agree the client software is nice and work smoothly, of course not as sexy as playtech and MG ;)

Just for slots. That's why RTG slots are the worst to win.

300 spins and no feature?
200 spins in it's good to be bad and no more than 1 free spin?

That only can be real in RTG...

Rep talking.
RTG's slots have unique features you won't ever find in MG or Playtech.
Design could be much better.
Concerning RTG's shadow, I agree with Jetset...it's RTG's own shadow, essentially for 2 reasons we've allready seen.
1/ They choose the operators, nobody else. If a company's entire staff is just incompetent, who are you going to blame ? HR and managment in general of course.
2/ Now, concerning this "unique" RTG's feature which allows the operator to 'tune" the payouts, how a normal player can feel about that ?
They could have also claimed:
"Don't leave your profitability to the odds. Get the only payout ratio setup featured software of the market."
It remembers me a funny thing. Every time when I'm reading these ads on the pro magazines, I see some brands using all the same pitch "Don't gamble with your..." success, profitability, business, etc...I'm amazed by the lake of creativity of their marketing agency...and by the fact the companies accept and buy these pitches.

Take a look at RTG's pathetic website, and then compare it to its major competitors. It's easy to judge a company by its online presentation:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Old / Expired Link

The creepiest thing about RTG's is the background photo of the two casino players. Or are they operators? :D

RTG Opers can change payout right?...

It looks like start-your-casino.com...
And these casinos are rogue.

MG have a real strong brand identity ("We are the game" + logo and brand design).
They've invested a lot in that.
Playtech is not that good.
Boss is far away behind.
RTG sucks with the "hotest games" and the reoulette wheel burning (not a good message to me).
Crypto have the Marvel license (+ Cubis and Bejewelled) and that makes it all.
When you see all these Marvel Super Heroes (actually it's Ghost Rider) selling you the Crypto games, you just buy them.
I would add Wagerworks and the aura they have, given by IGT, Hasbro games (Monopoly, Cluedo), Columbia Tristar (The 50.000 Pyramid) and Freemantle Media (The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Baywatch, Danger Mouse, Press your Luck, Play your Cards Right ) licenses they have.
Actually their first slots (pre-IGT) were very uggly, look at Arabian Riches, Three Reel Holdup, Bananarama and Vacation USA.
But if I had to choose the best corporate website (design + accessibilty of the content) I would definitely vote for the new Boss website.
What's funny, is that they have a page where they've created a precious theme based on one of their licensee, Casino Club, which have such a poor designed and very bad traduced website (the French version is pure nonsense):

75% ? As long as it's stated and assured to never go less than that, it's no worse than the worst slots in Nevada. :D

God, I'm in a f.... comma (remembers me Bob Hoskins in A Long Good Friday, the best UK movie I've ever seen).
How could I not react to that ?
I remember reading it, I just didn't realise what it meant.
Sometimes the bigger it is...
I don't know if it's true (it can't be, cant it ?) but if it is, RTG could say "It's good to be bad".
Please XXLClubCasino (or anybody who have the info), could you confim us the source of your information ?

Cool odds!

They are the same odds to take a 10 win in a 50cent scratch card '

Yeah I'm not sure where that figure comes from, but I was told the RTG range was 92% - 98%. Can't remember where that came from either though :D

Hearsay?

Here the way it was for us.

Prior to starting our online casino project (coming from landbase casino activities) we reviewed the top 6 online casino software at that time (end of 2004). It took us a year to meet, discuss and review each of the software proposed and we came up with a shortlist (MG,BOSS and Playtech) .

RTG was drop mainly because of it's bad players handling and the poor reputation at that time (many complains in player forums about rogue casinos etc.

This of course say nothing about the quality of the software but we were afraid to have our brand mixed with other unfair operators. From that time I remember to have seen a presentation where it was clearly indicated that the software can be setup to have different payouts now so far I remember it was 75-99 but it could have been 85-99 but surely not 95-99%.

To finish the story we decide to go with playtech as we could get the all package (casino, poker, mobile, iVT), with the new iVT software (videobet) being exactly what we were looking for to move our landbase players to the online world with a single smart/magnetic member card.

All in one I believe MG and Playtech to be way ahead of all other software providers and to be the only ones to be absolutely irreproachable.

MG has now also develop an iVT software (betstones) and a mobile solution in cooperation with 3Spin.

If we had to choose again I would stay with playtech as they definitely show us more devotion and interest in our global strategy.

Thanks, XXLClubCasino.

I guess if RTG doesn't like the sound of 75% they can publish audits to refute it.:D

This is the third time I hear the adjustable payout% range for RTG slot from a
reliable source, but I was already sure it was the case. The problem is not that the software CAN be set to 80% payout, the problem is that IF some casino does it, you have no way to tell so.

So far only InetBet and 49'er have published slot payout% and that was in the 94-95% range and it from extensive play at RTG casino, I am very certain these two casino have payout% way above most other RTG casinos.

But Playtech casinos also does have a very bad history of rogue casinos, but I think it has gotten better during the last year.

Zoozie

...But Playtech casinos also does have a very bad history of rogue casinos, but I think it has gotten better during the last year...

I concur with this. Playtech has had its moments of slipping into the darkside, but this past year has seen a real turnaround in player issues. There are only a couple of problematic operators left, and they are being watched closely by everyone. Playtech knows that the image of its business relies on the conduct of its operators.

To get a feel for this, you can check out the PAB section where complaints have been listed since November. Playtech accounts for 15 complaints out of 257 which comes to about 6% of the total complaints. Futurebet, RTG, and MGS top the bunch. I don't have the time to count them at the moment, feel free to figure out the percentages here. :D

Futurebet and RTG lead the pack for the most unresolved BTW. Tells you something right there.

I just 'got the feeling' (lost my ass) in an RTG session, that the get can be set below 75%. And my 'gut' (wallet) isn't usually wrong on slots.
