RTG slots - picking for # of free spins.

You know on the games like Texan Tycoon or Achilles or the one with the monkeys, when you get 3 or more scatters and you pick one to reveal the number of spins, does it matter which one you pick? Or is the amount of spins set as soon as you hit the scatters so it doesn't matter which you choose?

When you get free spins on some of the other games - Tiger's Treasure or Big Shot for example - it gives you a predetermined amount of spins. I'm wondering if the other games do too, and the whole idea of letting you pick is just to make you feel like you have an input.

I remember reading somewhere once that if you're in a 'pick' feature, and it shows the amounts you didn't pick after you've made your choice, then it's not predetermined - like the little blade thingies on Hitman for instance. If you make your choice and it doesn't show the other amounts, then it IS predetermined - you're going to get the amount you're going to get no matter what you pick. An example of that would be like the gold idol feature in Tomb Raider.

I don't know if that's for real or not, but it kind of makes sense. But that's for $ amounts, not for the # of free spins, so it might not apply anyhow.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows?

If they were not predetermined, why do we always choose the lower FS awards?

I believe they are predetermined. Just as when you get the FS, your outcome has already been decided and it is just a matter of 'Eye Candy' to get you through.

So if they were actually random, then your FS outcome will be random as well. The FS outcome is predetermined randomly from a list of possible outcomes within the game cycle. Wouldn't it be great if the chances of hitting BIG were REALLY Random and not randomly selected from a predermined list?

I have always wondered this myself, especially for Warlock's Spell. I have gotten the 100 free spins one time, but the majority of the time I get 8 or 15 spins. Was always curious if it matters which side/colour I pick?

It really does not matter what you pick.
I'm absolutely sure about that, 100%.
Its predetermend.

Take for example that Golden Lotus game.
There are 8 lotuses and you can pick 4.
After you picked 4 it shows the ones you did not pick.
No matter what you do, the ones you did NOT pick are ALWAYS higher.

Just open that game in fun mode, put it on autoplay/turbomode and trigger that Chinese Garden feauture 50 times in a row and you'll know exactly what I mean.

Same goes for Texan Tycoon.
How often do you pick the 25 FS?
And how often do you pick 8 ?
.. Exactly.

Been thinking the same. Either they are predetermined or I'm extremely unlucky.

At least in hippo something (the awp game) when you hit the HI/LO feature between numbers 1-12 and the current number is often 11 many times in a row, and everytime I choose LO, it spins 12. And if I click on HI, it spins a LO instead. If that's not predetermined, then I don't know what is :icon_evil

Oh like....

...CWC,when I hit the free spin feature and it showed how much I could have won per spin ( in my case I chose the x 10 or 15, I forget exactly) but then it showed me If I picked the icon to the left I would have won x100 per free spin! arrrgh.

I think it's predetermined.LOL...I have to think that:rolleyes:

Warlock's Spell seems very predetermined and is the perfect example to wonder about. Usually I wind up with 8 spins and have hit 100 spins twice in the last 2 years. Odds are initially 1/6 and get better the less picks remaining.

Compare that to Aladdin's Gold. I have picked the 25 free spins on the first try numerous times and odds on that are 1/5.

I thought someone said the Lotus game picks were predetermined. Not sure where.

I believe the answer to the OP's question is found here in post #90

 Awesome yes thanks!

Ok so in that post DogBoy says that that your # of FS is not predetermined, but it is weighted - obviously higher percentages on lower numbers.

So my original question whether it matters which one you pick...the answer is NO. So we can quit saying, "oh man, I shoulda picked the other one!" because it doesn't matter! The pressure is off! ;)

I'd just like to add to this. I was playing a 3Dice tournament (Aztec Enigma), hit the free round, and got the three golden wreaths which unlocks the SUPER DUPER round. In that round, I got T$1000; however, the client crashed. I was gonna be angry if I got a different result when I reloaded it.

And, for a second, I thought I was going to. The tiles I selected in the first game were completely different than they were my first time around; however, I still ended up with the three golden wreaths and got the T$1000.

Just another testament that the outcome of bonus rounds in slot machines is predetermined. :)

This may be in wrong thread but I have a question

In PAYDIRT, when you have to pick the paydirt, which is the one you want?
Gold Rush
Gold Fever
or the other lol

I played this game over the weekend and got lucky but being a degenerate, played it all back

I prefer the Strike it Lucky feauture (the other one ;)), but if you can only pick one bonussymbol it sucks.
3 bonussymbols is almost guaranteed to pay huge.

The disadvantage of GoldFever is that the reels are packed with scatters.
Still had some really nice hits with it.

Goldrush is usually crap, but if the goldnuggets hit it can pay big, which rarely happens.

Achilles

I totally agree In 3 years of playing this game its always 15

Hmmm, I have only been playing online for a little over a year and I have hit 20 and 25 free games on Achilles several times. I also have hit the 100 free games several times on CWC Club World game.

Now I hit the smaller free spins the majority of the time, but I have to say that there is the abiliity to hit the higher values, because it has happened to me.

But..........I would point out to the OP that since this is obviously a source of frustration to him (and to me) when you have to worry about getting a good choice or a poor choice, that I now choose to stay away from the games that result in frustrating wins. I gamble to have FUN, its not fun to "win" and then be upset because the bigger/biggest win didn't get uncovered.

So to avoid stress and to keep it fun --- I try and stick with the games that have a guaranteed # of spins if you hit the bonus such as Coyote Cash, Treasure Chamber, etc. I still play Achilles since you always get at least 15 FS.

That's my advice, stick with the ones that make you feel like you are getting a decent value for your bonus win. Even though you aren't guaranteed to win much money during the FS, its nice to get your full measure of free spins if triggered.

IMO

Peronsally I think Sunken treasure is one of the best RTG slot games. Its so underrated yet can pay really huge if your lucky enough to find a red gem in the chests.

I have been playing at betphoenix this weekend, i dont know why because ive yet to hit anything there or cash out, but lady luck has been shining on me these last couple weeks. I found a red gem on a 60c bet and when i picked my red gem i coudlnt believe it when the price was 900!! usd. Not bad at all for a 60 c bet. :D Ive had a great run with betpheonix this weekend, though i was careful not to use any of their max cashout deposit bonues ( opted for the 110 % no max bonus they have) thank god lol

Agree, there's no way that the pick result isn't predetermined.
