Bryan/Max - Rome should be rogued right away before any more players get stooged like the OP.

Although the security 'tripwire' may happen at other online casinos, and maybe its reasonable in some situations, but considering the moron in chat offered him a bonus on a $5k deposit then this is NOT one of those situations.

The main reason should be the disgraceful way in which this player was treated. Nobody in their right mind should play at Rome Casino after this and IMO Casinomeister should get this message across to everyone he can to send the message that this kind of casino management is completely unacceptable in an industry that already struggles in the area of regulation and customer confidence.

lol trust me, I'm not "picking on" Vinyl - and, as succintly pointed out above, he could very well take care of himself if I was.

That's the stats of an EXTREMELY valuable forum contributor - and a feature (thanks/reputation stats) that every forum needs, imo.

I disagreed strongly with some of his analysis and I speak my mind. I do not believe, at any point, I treated him with disrespect.

He joined in 2005, and you are calling him newboy?
And the only one that has picked on someone in this thread is also you.

As for this thread. Interesting reading. Both from JHV's posts and vinylweathermans post.

Im amazed of the wagering..30 mill$?.. holy crap!
And from what I read from op, the casino should be a good candidate to the following awards:

Worst Blundering Screwup award
Should Have Known Better Award

You'll need to take that up with Bryan when he returns on Monday.

I moderate these forums and process PABs: site stuff like the Rogue Pit is all Bryan's although I do recommend sites for the Rogue Pit based on the outcome of PABs.

FWIW, there are no PABs against Rome Casino at this time.

I contacted Rome... They are well aware of this thread.
I was told yesterday by a Rome Rep that "there was more to this than meets the eye" and a response in this thread from Rome was forth coming.

Personally, I don't think any action should be taken till both sides have had their say.

Their cs is really funny.. I asked if they are actually in Rome and they said yes
But didn't know any italian unfortunately ;)

That customer service representative is unbelievably creepy/weird :eek2:

I probably would have freaked out and closed it down as soon as he started calling me "dear"!

Sounds intriguing, just hope Rome Casino does not make us wait for too long here to read their response.

lol

"There is more to this than meets the eye."

Pretty sure that's code for: "PANIC STATIONS PANIC STATIONS ALL HANDS ON DECK - WHAT THE F DO WE SAY OR DO HERE"

Max, before a casino can be rouged, does a PAB have to be put in? Is it like procedure? Because I pity the Meister or anyone who has to talk to these clowns. I would rouge them, BOLD the rouge, maybe even have a popup ROUGE just for them :)

On a more positive note, I just shipped a 100k win playing BJ at Chili overnight (god I love NetEnt software).

I think the normal procedure would be to file a PAB first. It would be hard to rogue someone without all the facts and trying to get both sides of the story first.

On a more positive note, I just shipped a 100k win playing BJ at Chili overnight (god I love NetEnt software).

LOL, that was from blackjack alone? Nice win!

Have you given up on poker, or just needed a bit of a diversion? :)

I am as cool as the other side of the pillow, very succesful etc...However I must say flaunting is not my style, my suggestion to the OP, tone it down HiRoller, no one really cares how much you lose or win, just that justice is served and you are treated fairly as if you were depositing and playingwith a $50 or 5K bankroll.

A few comments about PABing in this matter.

Rome Casino is not accredited here. Every member gets one chance, and one chance only, to PAB against an unaccredited casino.

OP never got as far as playing, the deposit has been charged back so he is not out of pocket there, so I am not really sure what resolution can be reached here by Maxd.

If I was in the OP's shoes, with the OP's bankroll, I might save my oneshot PAB for a case where I ended up out of pocket or being denied winnings.

JMHO.

In a word, no.

I do PABs, Bryan does the Rogue Pit.

If a PAB goes bad I usually end up posting a Warning and recommending to B that they be added to the Rogue list: in-house we call it "Pending Rogue". The "Pending Rogue" list is basically a To-Do list for B because he has to look into and judge each case, which he does as time permits.

If someone really goes of the rails -- as determined by B -- then he has been known to toss them straight in the Rogue Pit, with or without a PAB.

LOL you probably just transferred your poker roll over and made a few bets.

Yes, like I could actually win a single poker hand this year....sigh.

I'm just bored and tilting off money on house edge. I'll get back into poker once I go through this dumb "phase", and hopefully I'll have a bankroll left to play with once the house edge phase is over.

Or I'll retire completely from poker - just don't know what I'd do to kill boredom if I take that road.

Look JHV dear, im really starting to love you after all of this but are they still trying to call you etc and have you gotten your money back as yet??.

I hung up on Mark (the general manager) when he called me last as he was insulting me after I really went out of my way to give them a lot of chances to do the right thing - they thought I was bluffing or something - which was just a silly gamble to take on their part.

He begged me not to charge back. I told him the process had been instigated and there was nothing that I could do even if I wanted to. My bank seemed to think that Rome could have still halted the charges on their end (at the time) - but Mark seemed to think he couldn't. Anyway, the charges have now appeared and the charge back process has been initiated.

Mark was offering to send me cheques for the money and whatnot - to be fair, he was genuinely trying to return my money but it was too late for him and for Rome as I guess they'd already charged the card at their end. It was out of my hands at that stage, and I feel no sympathy for any impact they suffer as a potential result of the fiasco.

As I was hanging up on Mark as frankly, I had better things to do with my time, he was muttering something about talking to other owners of the casino and emailing me - about what I cannot guess at. I hung up and have received no communication from them since.

------

The money will be returned to my account - not trying to be a dooshpurse, but more annoying than 3k temporarily stolen by these jokers when they locked me out of my account was the 3 hrs of my time they wasted - and the absolutely MOST annoying thing is that I now have to head to Vegas with only 3 cards and without my only card that had unlimited daily w/d's (my bank insisted on canceling it after reading parts of the chat transcripts - I was pretty happy to leave it active but they said that wasn't an option when this merchant [Rome] had all the details). So I'm going to be pretty tilted in Vegas juggling ATM w/d's and frustrating wire transfer delays as a result of all this.

I really hope they don't manage to lie their way out of it - I'm a pacifist as default, but when screwed out of valuable time and treated in such a manner, I'm comfortable with admitting I'm as vindictive as they come.

Well it looks like no one from Rome is going to answer here.

Like I was told by a Rome rep they would.

So I guess Rome is so embarrassed by being such a bunch of unprofessional losers that they won't respond here in public...

Wow.........I dunno what to say except that this post enraged me enough to create a new account just so I could respond (old one was dormant). I am a casino affiliate and have been telling my colleagues forever not to promote Rome Casino because of the countless issues with their site (software, cash out rules, dormant account balance confiscation, wagering requirements, etc. etc.).

I am really sorry what happened to you JHV but really I expect nothing less from this group and don't think that any other players should either. I hope this isn't seen as me just coming here to bash Rome but honestly it makes me mad when players sign up at these casinos through reputable affiliate sites thinking that they must be good because of that fact when in reality they are only pushing the site due to a good commission or being friends with the management.

Anyways, hopefully Rome will put a response here that admits their wrong doing however I am guessing that will not come and more likely the response if any will be some sort of defensive post. You said you spoke to Mark from their casino, I believe that Josh is the head manager of Rome so you could try and get in touch with him if you want to take the issue further.

Anyways good luck and an unfortunate situation!

Just curious JHV why you decided to pick Rome Casino to have a go at when you could play at at somewhere like 32red or another trusted casino.

I am a Topgame representative and have been watching the thread with some interest - I am not convinced that all the facts are real, looking at most of the evidence coming to me - the complaint seem oh so orchestrated to say the least and typical of a planned assault on online operations - I do agree that the way the issue was handled was somewhat unprofessional and should this so called high roller not have been allowed to even deposit in the first place.

I will continue to gather all the correspondence related and may respond if I believe it will benefit our industry as a whole.

so far I want to thank some of the posters that have seen through this issue and know something very wrong is going on here.

best

Hello Jan.Strydom and a warm welcome to you.

Firstly, thank you very much for signing up on the forum and taking part in this.

I really feel you should address this when you have the evidence you need as we are smrt savvy people who CAN see through the thin lines and generally dont take sides or judgement until both sides are nown, so in saying this please dont think if it will help your industry or not becuase no post will surely make it worse and the minds will go wondering here, the age old saying I suppose "there is no bad publicity".

the outfit you guys are runnig does look very good with a lot of time spent so that tells us a lot has been put into the caisno/s to offer the best service.

Your going to get people like this at some stage and need to address them as they come,
I mean at the end of the day the operator/manager was terrible in chat but as stated he was fired for doing so- your not the only outfit thats had a bad manager or operator, learn from it and put measures in place.

You should know that this site will only help your outfit in the end..

Plus if you have information that contradicts what VHM is saying then would this help your case with the processor??.

If you spent a few days reading this place and see what the general public want your outfit will only be better off, I nean there is numerous threads here asking the public what they want in a casino, they are ALL reasonable ideas so please mate have a look.

Mate I said it before this online casino gambling industry is the wild west, Bryan/casinomeister is the sheriff in that town and he sits on the fence for both player and casino so dont you think for one minute it will be biased.

Once again same_old's two cents on the matter.
