Rome Casino - Analysis

Hell yeah, instead of stalking this thread they would be better off by answering my questions... again the live support did not react in about half an hour... I mean, what kind of bureau are they working in!?

rome definitely would have the potential to get at least an average online casino because their software which is really fast... but with customer services like these, they gotta forget it...

Allright, i tried it over and over again and the support just doesn't respond.
The fact that they're reading this thread and still don't react makes me really angry. Since monday evening, my withdrawal request is official "approved" while that doesn't seem to change anything. I'm checking my neteller account twice a day because I wanna deposit at PartyCasino for a 100 % bonus that's running out soon...

I hope I'll receive the money before the end of this week (if ever at all) so this all will come to an Happy Ending.

Reply on behalf of Thebes Casino

Hello everyone,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is David and I am the casino manager for Thebes Casino.

Having read this thread I noticed that in various posts Thebes was being associated with Rome Casino. Whilst it is true that we run on the same software provider namely Topgame this is where our connection with Rome Casino (and any other Topgame casino) ends.

However I did notice a number of very valid comments and I wanted to answer these on behalf of Thebes Casino and clarify some other issues.

Let me give you a little background information about Thebes and our operation so far,

Thebes Casino was officially launched on the 1st December and yes we did initially start with a $55 no deposit bonus which was given in two parts. The first part of $11 was credited in December and the following $44 in January
2009.

Yes we did have some issues with support being overloaded at that time, this also resulted in some people not getting the bonus and we contacted those that were affected and credited them with the bonus.

Following on from this we launched a $22 No deposit bonus for the month of January which was well received and as far as I am aware caused no problems for players.

We did have one issue where a player was told by the support staff that a deposit was needed in order to cash out

winnings from the No deposit bonus. This maybe the case at other Topgame casino but it is certainly not the case at Thebes. The player then went on to lose his money. This was brought to my attention and I made sure that the
players winnings were paid out in full.

Obviously over the last 2 months some issues have come to light (all of which are also mentioned in this thread) which needed to be adressed urgently. Below are the major ones and what we have done to adress them.

1. Support

As one member correctly stated support is handled by Topgame and has been overloaded a lot. To cope with this we iimmediately brought our own staff online to assist and are in the process of hiring more.

2. Wagering Requirents

I only mention this because of the fact I noticed at the beginning of this thread that someone mentioned 80 times for Rome. Thebes has been running on 12x wagering requirements since day one.

3. Withdrawal Terms

Simply put I could not agree more , the once a week withdrawals are ridiculous. We knew this was unacceptable from the start and have been working on implementing faster cashouts. This has taken some time as we needed to set it up with our provider but it will be completed in the very near future. I do not have the exact date but I will be more than happy to keep everyone informed of progress.

I do ask that you do not let any bad experience at another Topgame casino put you off trying Thebes. No, I cannot guarantee that there will never be any problems or mistakes, however I can promise you that I will do everything to make sure that any problem is adressed and mistakes fixed.

Yes we are a new operation running on a new platform and there are many areas in which we need to improve, however at Thebes we are working very closely with Topgame (who btw have been very responsive to us) to provide players with a real alternative to the other online casinos out there.

It will take us some time but with your help and feedback I am positive we can succeed. I therefore ask that if you have any comments/suggestions/ideas and/or complaints regarding Thebes Casino you either post them here or contact me directly at [email protected] and I will get back to you as soon as possible with an answer.

Kind Regards

David

Hi David,
Welcome to the forum. What you say is all great for Thebes but the issue here is with Rome and a player not being paid and no communication.

Hello David and welcome to Casinomeisters Forum, if you truly mean everything you say and it sounds like you do then I will have to look into becoming one of your affiliates and promoting your operation. Are you guys connected with 7Spins Casino in any way?

Thebes Casino

Hi everyone,

First of all thank you for the warm welcome :-), I much appreciate it.
I want to make clear that I did not intend to post here to disturb a Rome Casino thread or promote Thebes. I simply wanted to explain our situation as there were a couple of posts which mentioned both Rome and us. If someone would be so kind as to create a new Thebes Casino thread I will be more than happy to answer any questions there.

To just quickly answer your question about 7spins, no they are a seperate operation running on the Topgame platform and we do not work with them in anyway.

Kind Regards

David

Perfectly reasonable  Let's keep the thread on the Rome track though from hereonin chaps. As David said, another thread to discuss Thebes is acceptable if anyone wants to comment.

I FINALLY RECEIVED MY MONEY! :)

......on a WEDNESDAY:rolleyes:

So, it is not down to TopGame, it is all something Rome concocted with once weekly withdrawals, and now they show that the mechanism IS THERE to process withdrawals on any day, and there is no "technology" to add in order to implement it.

The Thebes rep does seem to have clarified the business model behind TopGame, which is not the same as behind Rival, and that different TopGame casinos are just as likely to be related to each other as different RTG or MGS casinos.
TopGame now need to work on those slots, and individual casinos should not be too reliant on the US market, as that is how quite a few casinos got burned in the last 2 years.

I posted a while back, looks like Topgame is dying a slow death, customer service absolutely sucks, they have done nothing of what they said they were going to do.

Well thats bad news.........When was he last time you were paid out.....or heard of someone getting paid out??

Well thats bad news.........When was he last time you were paid out.....or heard of someone getting paid out??

The issue with payouts was that Rome Casino only processed these ONCE a week, rather than 5 days a week, the industry norm. This lead to waits of 2 to 3 weeks when a document request was received instead of the expected withdrawal.

Recently, both Thebes and Rome have stated that there is to be a move to 5 days a week processing of withdrawals.

In terms of the software, it was not only their CS that "sucks" but their slots. ONE free spin & no multiplier was not most player's idea of a proper "bonus round". The promises were that this feedback would be returned to the TopGame developers, and more exciting slots with "proper" bonus rounds would emerge.

Sadly, progress has been slow, and deteriorating CS along with this slow progress has given some the impression of a new software brand "dying a slow death".

Not all new software brands succeed, however good, or bad, they appear to be at the start.

There was much hype about "Hype" software, many liked it, and it had many of the old favourites from Lasseters casino. Sadly, this died a less than slow death with one Hype casino after another disappearing with player's money (mostly through simply "going bust", but not wanting to say so). A few even tried to trade whilst insolvent, with a couple soliciting new players and deposits, whilst at the same time unable to pay existing players their withdrawals. Top Game has not got anywhere near this bad, and could still have a new lease of life if the promises are made good in the next upgrade, and the 5 day payment processing gives a payout experience similar to other operators.

Rome casino has a rep here, two in fact, who share the rep account, and this thread pulls together the discussions about Rome casino right from when it was first noticed. The rep will occasionally post, but only when there is something to say. It appears this has not happened for a while.

If YOU are playing there, and getting paid, even if still on the one day per week basis, then they are very much alive.

There would probably be more interest in TopGame if the slots offered bonus round excitement comparable to the established providers. This would mean wilds and multipliers, retriggers within free spins rounds, and a decent number of free spins, at least 10 or more (my view). Bonus rounds should offer a decent multiplier of the triggering bet, and should not appear to be "rigged" (or heavily weighted to the lower end of the range - to use the technical jargon:D)

Indeed slots are a huge part of any Online Casinos turnover or at least they should be.
One thing you did not mention VWM is that they do not use virtual reels so the player has no idea how fair the game is playing.
I believe they were working on virtual reel slots so we will see.

I saw that, but have never played there, so cannot really comment on how "dodgy" it might look to a player. The descriptions alone have been enough to put me off.

This was an awsome help. I'm going to keep faith in RomeCasino (will see monday). I have some money to withdraw, and support has been doing much better (as opposed to when I first signed up/ deposited). Those are some excellent points about the slots as well. It does seem that they are very Heavily weighed towards the lower winning END OF THINGS. Thanks again BIG HELP................................

Just curious, does anyone know the relationship between Rome and 7Spins; besides the fact that they both use TopGame software?

I just received emails from both of them in regards to their April Fool's day bonuses..and the images in each email were identical to each other (except for the bonus amounts shown...50% for one, 60% for the other), and the return addresses were the same as well....

Both emails had some of the same text in them as well: "And thats no laughing matter." and finished with saying "With Winning Wishes,".....

I thought Rome wasn't part of any group?

This kind of CARELESS marketing is what sows the seeds of doubt in the minds of players, especially when they are ALREADY a bit suspicious. COMPLETELY independent groups do NOT SHARE, they are in COMPETITION with each other. This looks like it's a case of an overall holding company with individually MANAGED casinos, in other words, the Bonne Chance - Rival model.
It could also be that one casino simply "ripped off" the content of another, this has happened before, and will happen again.
TopGame themselves could have provided some marketing materials and promotion handling back-end applications, and unrelated casinos using the same software can appear related. When MGS first brought out the free games new player promotions, and the MGS tournamanents, they first appeared at one casino, and then others. This briefly created spurious "relationships" between various MGS casinos until it became clear these were MGS created options for ALL licensees to use.

To answer

There is absolutely no connection between Rome Casino, 7Spins or any other of the current 12 Topgame brands(many more to come) other than running on the same software and that some promotions and services are done from TG to the operators specifications. Topgame offers a broad spectrum of resources and services to its operators other than just the software. We at Topgame believe that new operations need all the assistance they can get to be successful and therefore we give them an entire service package until they don't need it anymore.

Should anybody have any Question related to Topgame you can Email me at
[email protected]

Daily Payouts + New Games, Bonus Rounds etc.

I apologize for not spending more time here of late but to be quite frank, most of my time is spent chasing processing companies for money to ensure our affiliates are paid on time and so I haven't had much time to make an appearance here. Having said that, I thought all of you should know that since the beginning of May, we have moved to daily payouts 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). Our VIP players will be processed even on weekends assuming the payment method will allow for it. Also 100% of our slots are now on the new slot logic and many have some nice new bonus rounds which also have higher payouts. We have also introduced a few new games and made some minor tweaks to the interface. I sincerely hope you enjoy the changes we've made and as always, I look forward to your feedback be it positive or negative.

Kind Regards,

JC.

Well I tried this out. A few things:

VP auto holds a high card if no winning hand is available to auto hold. Very annoying. Top Game, get rid of this "feature" and also have the option to disable auto hold completely, please!

RomeCasino lists Moneybookers and Click2pay on their website. Neither option is actually offered by the casino. This is annoying to the player who's expecting to be able to deposit, but also probably against the terms and conditions of those payment processors.

Other than that, software looks interesting. Would be nice to be able to minimize the sidebar, it does waste a lot of real estate when it's not in use.

conversation with live help

I was reading the thread here so I thought I would try out Rome Casino.
I went to live help and asked how long do withdrawals take? She said use my wallet was instant. OK I was just about to make a deposite when she than said don't forget about the 30$ fee. WHAT? After five minutes of conversation she than explained to me that they charge a 30$ withdrawal fee. She said if I withdraw 50$ they would only credit my usemywallet acct with 20$ I said SEE YA. To bad looked like some fun games.

When I try a new casino, I like to give it a fair chance before making a yes or no decision. In the past month I made several deposits at Rome. My first couple of deposits at any new casino I try, I will always take a bonus. I like having the extra funds, giving me time to sample all the games I like to play. I really don't expect to overcome the usually ridicules play through requirements, but do try to get a feel for the casino. If I like what I saw after a couple of sessions with bonuses, I will start to deposit straight up. If not I'll go a few more sessions with more bonuses. And of course during these sessions there's always a chance to spike large, and guarantee a cash out.

After a couple of deposits with Rome and bonuses, I found the video poker selection much to small forcing me to choose from one of two games out of the four choices. After checking out some of the slots, I certainly didn't spend much time there. Was not a fan of the software, but I do realize they hit big also. Not being impressed at all up to this point, I still wanted to give it a fair chance and made at least 10 more deposits during the month, all with bonuses and 12 x's play through. I actually made my last three deposits between yesterday and today.

Also, every time I signed in it appeared the same Italian named girl started to chat to me, trying to offer me bonuses. I play all different hours of the day, night, and morning. Yet, I could always count on the same girl or just the same name person greeting me. She would always ask me what amount was I going to deposit? No matter what the amount was I wanted to deposit, she would always try to get me to deposit more and give me a better bonus. If I raised my deposit some more, she would still come back and try to get me for a little more. Yes, I'm interested in what's available, but don't want to be bargaining like I'm in some third world country.

Also several times when I was making my last possible bet before being broke, I would win the hand. The win window shows what I won but the funds didn't go to my bankroll. The first few times this happened it was only for a $5.00 win. I didn't bother contacting my girlfriend the casino host, since by this time I had enough, didn't feel like going through the wait, and didn't think 5 bucks would get me to far. But the next time this happened it was for $80.00, and once again it's right in front of me that I won, but I can't bet. I contacted the host, and she got the funds to my bankroll. She also mentioned she never saw this before. Sure enough the last bet possible during this same session it happened for 40.00. She then said she was going to report this to the technicians and apologized. During the last couple of days, and sessions at Rome, it happened three more times. Being the alleged same woman who must of been working on 24 hour shifts, she said the same thing that she never saw this happen before, and she was going to report it. I didn't bother to mention to her that this same thing happened a week ago between her and I, knowing at this point I made a decision on the site. At least for me it's a "NO"

Some interesting Terms and conditions from Rome Casino...

Players not logging in to their casino account for a period of 3 weeks or longer will have their bonus balance annulled (void).

Should a player abstain from the Casino for a period of 6 months or more then the Casino will be entitled to any balance in that players account and the sum forfeit. Should the player wish to withdraw this amount after this period, we will examine each situation on a case by case basis but reserve the right to invoke the above 6 month rule.

In the event of a complaint or dispute in the Casino, the complaint must be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days of the event happening. If the complaint is received after this time, we will simply not address it. However, if there are extenuating circumstances; for example: A Player is incapacitated or otherwise unavailable for comment, we will address these issues on a case by case basis but reserve the right to invoke the 14 day rule above.

Players not logging in to their casino account for a period equaling to or greater than 180 days risk having their accounts frozen and all or any balance forfeited.

Seriously - how can anyone consider playing at Rome after all these issues?
Affiliates not getting paid, winnings not getting transferred to the bankroll, they let little italian girls sit at the phone 24/7 (hopefully she gets a shower and something to eat from time to time...)... and last but not least they offer bonusses with playthrough requirements not even satan himself would offer us.

Sorry Rome, but you s*ck.

I have made a few deposits at Rome Casino and at 50 States another Top Game casino and I was not impressed. There isn't enough slot games to keep slotsters like me happy and the ones that are there get old really fast. I found the CS at Rome Casino a little pushy.
One time I asked about a specific bonus and was told by the agent I could claim it but after I made the deposit I was told that I couldn't claim the one I wanted. Classic bait and switch. After some back and fourth I got a different bonus which I was happy with however the experience left me feeling deflated which took some of the fun out of the play.
Top Game casinos have had way too many bumps in the road for my taste so I think I will steer clear until these casinos improve.

Hey Osulle,

All Rome operators must only offer bonuses the player can actually get, if that was not the case please PM me with the bonus you were interested in and the operator's name, and I will sure the matter is seen to, even if you were satisfied with the bonus you eventually received.

I'd like to add that Rome has recently added another great Video Slots game - Viking and Striking, to its game list and another one is being added in the next few weeks. Rome and TopGame are planning on many more additions to the game in the upcoming months, each with their own fun theme, and will continue to offer great odds and great bonuses all the way.

Kind Regards,

Noah

I agree with both of you. I like Vikings. :)

If I had a software critique about Top Game, it would be this: 1) as with Rival, there should be a software option to speed up the dials, if a player wishes; and 2) resizeable client window.

Hi Guys,

Thanks, we like the game :) And more are on the way.

Nisobar, regarding your issues -

1. A turbo option is in the works for the v.slots games, we expect
it soon.

2. Interesting suggestion, I will pass it on.

Blue Print

Hey Nifty,
I can tell you all you want to know about the BLUE print. What it boils down to is a run around. My experience with Rome is that they beat around the bush with all their dealings. I've had a withdrawal outstanding for a month, and my inquiries are usually avoided. Or, if I do get a response it is lame. If they pay you let me know, ok?

Wow really Nifty? Hm... thanks for the input. I'll post here if they ever do pay me. I'm an online marketer and I'll at least have some fun ruining their name if I decide to give up on waiting for my money lol.

Checking the list here for somewhere honest to play at today :)

Is there a reason you keep dredging up old threads? You may have better luck starting a new thread with a little less attitude. Anyways, Top Game casinos are mostly on the "No can do" list here which is a pretty good sign you should steer clear of them. Have you tried PMing the rep and explaining your situation? That's usually one of the first steps to take before "threatening" to "ruin" them...

What about everybody else that Rome Casino owes money to?

What about all your ex-business partners that you still owe money too?

Funny that Rome Casino owes so much to so many and yet Rome makes such a big deal about paying one player what they owe...
