Acting stalwart Robbie Coltrane passes age 72

Many will remember him for Cracker, as the chain-smoking detective, or for his later Harry Potter turns.

Another person that harks back to a different, better time, and whose character's motto is why we came to love him. R.I.P

Great actor and character. RIP Robbie.

Loved him in just about everything he appeared in. Cracker being the obvious highlight but also incredible turns in films such as Mona Lisa (also starring the late, great Bob Hoskins), his appearances in Black Adder, and the Harry Potter films which introduced him to a new generation.

Sad to see him go.
