RIP ColinSunderland

Our gift to ColinS and his family.
Thanks to all those who have contributed. We raised more than £300.
We have an idea for the remaining funds but need to speak to family first.

May you Rest In Peace my dear friend.

The funeral service will be sending us some pictures, also of the flowers we provided. If no humans are seen on the pictures I'll upload them here as well.

Still totally gutted about this, and sadly I have not been able to come to yet realize the loss of Colin.

I will shut down the forum for a brief period at 1430 so that all of us can participate in a few minutes of silence.

GeordieColin has asked me to share this with the community:

It was a beautiful funeral which was well attended. He was adored by all of his family and friends and Col was as helpful and reliable in his real life as he was online. The tributes from his online family was very much appreciated by all those who attended.
He left us with this poem and this song. RIP Col

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

And as he used to love Deep Purple

At 17:30 a horse called ‘Recite a Prayer’ raced and won.

Hi everyone,

I'm Colin's brother and would like to thank everyone who has expressed their condolences on here, and also for the amazing contributions for the beautiful flowers he received. And a big thank you to GeordieCol who represented the forum at the funeral. It's nice to know just how well liked and respected he was on here.

He will be hugely missed by us all.

RIP Colin. He played with us since 2018 and this news totally shocked all of us. @Supababe Would you still be accepting donations by any chance?
I know Supa had money left over from the donations for the wreaths at the funeral, which she is going to use to purchase 'memory bears, for his two grandaughter's so you may still be able to contribute to those if you so wish.
