No medical insurance will pay for more than one or two of these tests.

Of course the health risks go up with your weight, no argument on that. But the govt. dictating your weight is a good thing?? What part of the soviet, er I mean European Union are you from?? I said it's good thing that your government starts doing something about your overweight problem. Since you're not doing anything about it yourself, they have to.

They are welcome to do something about it if they provide proper medical testing to everyone who is overweight.

That would be doing something about it. Many of these conditions are treatable, and they are causing overweight, and not being caused by it.

Maybe you would contribute to a fund that would actually help people fix things (given you believe people need to be fixed).

Putting them on a public list that can be seen by future employers and having them cast aside because they might have issues because of overweight isn't fixing things IMO. The weight isn't the issue, the failing medical system is.
