New Slot Announcement Red Tiger's First Megaways slot - Mystery Reels

This game is truly very difficult but I still feel that the 98% rtp version is probably one the best bonanza clones out there. I haven't had a great win yet myself even though I managed 20 spins one time, but for some reason on this game I'm not too bothered to sometimes collect the 8 spins unlike on extra chilli where I wouldn't really ever do that. Most of the time it's taken me around 400 spins to bonus but I've definitely also gone for more than 700 without one. I'd strongly suggest everyone to always check which rtp the casino is running and stay far away from the 96% version. This game is hard enough as it is and doubling the house edge on a game you're likely to play for 500-1000 spins at a time or more is simply devastating in the long run.
 
My personal feeling is that a lot of the RTP on this is grindy base game returns, as with Bonanza. As such, voluntarily giving up a HUGE amount of house edge to the 96% and (gulp) 95% maths models makes absolutely zero sense from a player perspective.

Add in the rare feature trigger and the fact you need to gamble to get the full RTP (plus it does like to lose the first gamble from 8 to 4!), I'd say we want every last bit of RTP we can muster!

The differences sound small, but when you think about it, at 98% the house edge is 2%, and at 95% the house edge is 5%, so the house edge increases by 250% between the highest and lowest paying maths models!

Personally I quite like this slot, but it needs small spins versus your bankroll, for my session last night I was on 20p spins with a £100 deposit.
 
So how do I find out what % Casino Heroes and Casimba have it set at when they don't show you in the game?

The Rtp should be on the main screen of games, they obv like to hide it...
 
Had a great session last night at Videoslots, except for this slot...
Made a 500 Euro profit but could have been 700...
Mystery Reels ate 200 quid in about 1300 spins without a single feature, gosh how fun all these slots where you cannot hit a feature.

Red Tiger for me are bin slots, never hits or delivers for me.
Got ganked by that Ninja slot too.

Think will put the whole Red Tiger catalogue in my no no list.

Aweful and dreadful slots.

Do you mean TAKE what you have got, or gamble it ?

I just made the gamble on the first wheel and HIT the X20 : Collected that and got less than 100X ?
 
According to the rules you should always gamble unless you have 20 or 30 spins (for optimum RTP), so I take what dunover is saying there to mean that you should always gamble, but immediately collect if you hit the 1/10 chance of the 20 or 30.

On a three scatters trigger, out of the 10 segments on the wheel, one is 20 spins, three are 12, and six are 4.

So you should always gamble to start with, if you lose to 4 it auto-collects, if you win to 20 you should collect, and if you win to 12 you should gamble again. (All my gambles have lost to 4 so I don't know what the wheel looks like if you win to 12!)

has anyone else noticed that as soon as you collect whatever number of free spins it it predetermined from that point on, i did a test today at william hills on the vegas site you can have your profile balance open at the same time as the game and when the free spins hit it stayed the same but as soon as the collect is pressed it jumps up to what the resulting balance will be after the spins so you know what the feature is going to pay no matter how many retriggers or how high the multiplier goes

that doesn't matter. Every spin is "pre-determined" - just some providers hit the RNG before each spin (such as WMS), and others hit the RNG for all the spins in the beginning (such as Red Tiger and High5 Gaming)

it's still using the RNG and doesn't matter at all.

Yeah this is a common issue with Red tiger slots (and sometimes other providers too such as Blueprint) on many sites. I imagine this is how basically all slots work though, simply so that in a case of disconnect the same exact bonus round result will be restored. I've seen people make the argument that such bonuses can't be random and are in fact pre-determined but this doesn't prove that at all. Some have even said that it doesn't matter what amount of spins you have and that the result would be the same anyway but the fact that the balance updates only when the number of spins is known speaks against that.

When the bonus round/amount of spins or whatever has been chosen the game probably sends a request to the rng along the lines of "ok gimme the result of X amount of random spins using the bonus round special features", which will then play out on your screen. There's no reason why the game should send a new random spin request after each spin in the bonus, nor would that make any difference to the end result or somehow make it more random or less rigged in any way.

This is a really badly made slot machine. I understand its volatile and my issues don't lie entirely with the maths..

- Fails to show you how much each cascade is paying so you are in the dark until the final count-up.
- The mystery feature usually always results in going over symbols that were already present meaning zero suspense factor.
- The gamble feature is really awfully designed. I got the 20 free spins and ended up with a single hit for 8x, whenever 4 spins is reached you hit many cascading wins.
- Can easily go 2000-3000 spins to trigger a feature.

It's just a badly made slot machine. Seems rushed out of the door to flip their license fee. A shame.

I'm not liking this talk of having to gamble the FS to achieve optimal results. I mean with BTG we know it's just greed and part of their nature, but to make up the RTP here? No no no siree

I still *like* this game though, and have managed to attain a solitary bonus feature. Didn't gamble. Eight spins and BOOOOOM there it is......

I gambled the other day and collected the 20 free spins can't mind what it paid but was okay nothing special but no retrigger..

Four times in a row on gamble i lost to get 4 spins. Every single one i got a retrigger in either first or second spin. One paid really good 2 were okay 1 was total crap lol.

I've only had around 4 stints on this game so my opinion is subject to change :p

Maybe three of those I've played with very small bankrolls for an eternity, albeit resigning myself to the fact that this game doesn't like to 'put out' :eek2:

I've not lost as much as some on this game, I'd be a tad more aggrieved having lost hundreds with what seems like quite scripted gameplay and gimped gambles

not aso much pre-deterimined as the free spins are 'batched' and you the end result is calculated before playing them out.
it's shitty and loses the element of fun, but it's across most, if not all, Red Tiger's games

This game I'm really starting to hate, really hate!! When it was first released I had a couple of good wins in its first week. Been playing almost 2 months since and fing nothing.
I thought this would replace Bonanza for me as being a country that BTG is restricted, but this game is far worst. The 3rd scatter must be hanging out with D from Bonanza. Every single day I pound at Mystery reel thinking surly Ill hit something but nothing over and over. I also find with only 4 or 8 spins it pays better than getting 20 spins, a lot of retriggers with the lower spins if your lucky to get the free spins. No other game has got me boiled mad like this piece of crap. I have never lost so much at one game. I have only played the game at Videoslots I know a few other sites have a higher RTP so may try them out.

Why do the streamers get all the great hits? grrrrrr

What are your lifetime stats on the slot according to the VS MyRTP function? It will be able to tell your total lifetime spins and RTP.

Also, do remember that there is an optimal gamble strategy for this game, and definitely make sure you're playing the higher RTP version of the game which is readily available elsewhere. By knowingly playing one of the lower RTP variants you are literally setting fire to more of your cash over time on a voluntary basis!

My RTP is 86.03 with a total of 31139 spins. the last 4 weeks around 82% My biggest win $1075 with $4 bet that was when first released since pretty much nothing. A lot of tiny wins base hit. Days/weeks no feature. One thing I noticed when my balance was low and started to do .20 and .10 cent bets to finish up funds then i got some good hits. $25 from .10 cent base hit of stars the other day. My average bet $1.44.

Is 86% RTP acceptable? The game has a RTP of 96.2% on Videoslots and 98% many other casinos. Honestly never gave it much thought that much, as its only 1.8% difference but becoming more understanding of RTP I honestly feel a bit resentment with Videoslots. Videoslots I'm very Loyal to and 99% of all my deposits go to them in fact I deposit every day and many times multiple deposits and for them to purposely choose the lower RTP is a bit of a jab under the belt. Also don't like there's no VIP host, I can see what others have said all bells and whistles like I said before to make things look good but our pockets being robbed to make it look all pretty.

Right now Videoslots will still be my #1 to go to they do still alot going for them but if my favourites are available at a higher RTP at other accredit casinos then Im going start to deposit elsewhere for those games.

Would be cool to have a tool on Casinomeister when searching a game it tells you what casino is using the highest RTP.

They're upping it to more than double the standard house edge now?! On all sites I play on, the RTP is 98.12. That's a 1.82% house edge. Videoslots decided to keep a 3.8% house edge. Wonder how many 1000x wins just gets sucked up every day, that would've hit with the standard RTP.

I thought videoslots were bad when they increased the house edge on book of dead by more than 50%, but now they've upped it to more than 100%. I bet they'll increase the house edge by 200% on at least one slot before the year is over! :)

I'm sure I saw it mentioned that that would give you around 50% less play time. Stop playing the lower RTP games at rip off videoslots and play them elsewhere :) if nothing else, if enough people did that they might put them back up.

Yeah it was increased not long after general release, there was a pop up message something about 'continuous customer improvement' so they increased it from 96 to 98. Although some casinos never bothered updating their RTP version.

The game is very high vol, plugged away for hours with it doing nothing, eventually got a feature at 60p , paid 1k,
that's was on VS,s special rtp setting.

This game proves rtp is nothing I played this on Wednesday at a casino with rtp of 98% £20 gone in a few minutes, previous to this I had played Halloween Jack and got over 30 minutes play at 40p spins.

It is all about luck and it always has been.
