Celestial Buffalo (32Red) - Brutal Hit Rate & Miserable Bonuses

Hi all,

First post here. I’ve been playing slots online for years but only recently thought to look for proper forums like this.

I wanted to ask if others have had similar experiences with Celestial Buffalo on 32Red. I put in a fairly long session recently:

– Stake mostly 20p (a handful of 40p spins)
– Around 500 spins total
– Session bankroll £80

The hit rate felt extremely low even by high-volatility standards — at one point it took ~25 spins just to land a base-game win. I only saw one feature triggered via scatters and it paid £12.40, which felt very weak relative to the time and cost to reach it.

Overall it felt like a slot where a lot of the RTP is locked behind very rare outcomes, with long stretches of completely dead play. I’m not suggesting anything improper — just wondering whether others have found it similarly unrewarding, especially at lower stakes.

Curious to hear other experiences, as this one really stood out to me (and not in a good way).

Thanks, Zaka

I've never played Celestial Buffalo.

Ever since I started playing Gates of Olympus I've been pumped every single time by every version. A few days ago I thought I'd try to force a win from the tight arse, so I stuck £150 in doing minimum bets with ante on, 25p. Got two bonuses before I hit zero, both paid less than 30x. I think there was one 25x tumble in the base game and the rest were all around 10x or less. It's not the first time I've tried that on Gates and it hasn't ever worked.

I still have never had a bonus worth shit from any version of that game. If I didn't know any better I would say the game's a genuine scam, but I know there'll be people who swear by it because they've got lucky where I couldn't.

When it comes to high volatility you really need to stick and move. Every single one of them will gobble up your entire balance while giving you back pennies at a time.

Not tryin to one up you or be a prick in anyway, but in some BTG Megaways slots I've seen downswings of 80 consecutive spins.

Edit:
I just looked up Celestial Buffalo

Reels: 6
Rows: 6
Paylines: 4,096
RTP: 96.10%
Max Win: 10,000x
Volatility: High

Seems like volatility shouldn't be too extreme based on those numbers, but the reviewer said,

"Progression is split into five stages, with new mechanics unlocked as you collect winning symbols. Early stages are relatively plain, but stacked symbols, Countdown Wilds, Sure Win adjustments, and a respin feature are gradually introduced."

which seems like volatility may increase as new mechanics are unlocked.
