So Ray's nephew Paul is making his first CD! It's a worship CD, he wrote, sang, played all the instruments and recorded it all himself, the only thing he had help with was the mixing. Anyhow I just wanted to share with you one of my favorite songs from it, it's called Merry-Go-Round and it's about addiction. I find the song very powerful, but maybe that's because of my own issues with addiction in the past.

And for those of you who are non-believers, don't worry it's not preachy at all. :)

Merry-Go-Round

This time a year ago I lost a bet, the night was cold
But the feelin’ of playin’ the game and the rush that it brings is so seductive
My friends they say that I am addicted, that I have a problem
Yeah loving the way I live wouldn’t be so hard no if I was always winnin'

I wish that I could say that I had an alibi
But I have made my last excuse and from inside your shoes I must look like a fake
Yeah my heart beats inside my chest, it’s always finding its way back to this
Back to my own discontent as if I'd never left

Round and round this merry-go-round I go
I've ended up right where I started
Following the steps I've learned
Back to my death I return like a dog to its vomit
I don't wanna be the fool who's engulfed in flames pretending nothing’s wrong

What is the source of my desire? It haunts me
And flows within my veins to every appendage, a covert operation
Yeah what goes on beneath my skin is hidden
And secretly it’s talking me into doing things, now I'm doing things I wish I never did

A horrible song! That kind of music that makes me cry weather I want to or not. How could you Chayton?

Honestly it was beautiful and sensitive. I loved his voice and what he could say with it.
Very good:thumbsup:
So now two of your relatives (or Ray's) has a fan in Sweden.

So when can I hear the rest of the songs?
