Hope I posted this in the right forum...
I have a question about all these ridicules bonuses that are offered from online casinos. They are no doubt obviously being offered as a marketing tool to get players to play at their casinos, in the hopes of retaining new players. Im not a fan of these bonuses that usually come with ridicules play through requirements and most with a max cash-out rule. Although, when Im looking for a new casino to play at, I always accept these bonuses in order to give myself a chance to sample their goods without losing to much of my own cash, before I might decide to pull the plug. Id also like to add that while playing with these bonuses Im always in fear that Im going to hit some crazy big jackpot and only be able to cash out a fraction of it due to bonus rules. If I like what I see after a couple of bonus deposits, I will then only make non-bonus deposits.
My question is this Lets say for example that $100,000.00 dollars was deposited to a casino that offered a 100% match bonus, which of course would total to $200,000.00 dollars that would be wagered. Lets also say that all this money was wagered on one game that had a progressive jackpot. That would mean that $100,000.00 dollars of non deposited cash was used to build the progressive jackpot, or 50% of that jackpot was created by bonus money. Whatever percentage of that money went towards the jackpot, eventually in time would equate to millions being paid out as a result of the bonuses given when the jackpot is hit.
If a player hits a $20,000.00 dollar progressive jackpot, and was not on a bonus and is entitled to the whole pay-out, how and where do the online casinos compensate for that? On the other hand if a player hits a progressive jackpot for the same $20,000.00 dollars, but was playing with a bonus that had a max cash out of only $1,000.00 dollars, what happens to the other $19,000.00 dollars?
