I find this crazy.

A new casino opened up here called golden nugget ontario.

I was first on the leaderboard. I was doing some $100-$400 bonus buys mixed in with some $2-$4 bets. I wagered well over $10,000 in 3.5 hours.

I checked the leaderboard and somehow, in the middle of the night...13 players signed up and wagered tens of thousands of dollars at the same time as me. So 13 players were doing $1000 bonus buy+ $10-$50 slot spins for 4 hours straight to push me way down the leaderboard and then massive point balances.

Are people really this rich? Its a provincial casino for Ontario only that just opened last week. I find it really strange all of this happened in 4 hours.

Ive been part of these tournies alot in some big casinos and have never seen anything like this before in these order of events.

New Casino (likely many dont even know its open yet)
Randomly 13 players entered a 2 day old wager tourney that ends in a few days
13 players randomly playing from 1am-5am gambling what must be hundreds of thousands of dollars.
People opting in for small prizes relative to their bet sizing an dplaying like crazy
Many of the players having a number on the end of their name

I find this hard to believe given all the circumstances and its a casino that only operates in 1 province.

No other Ontario leaderboards look like this ever.

Conspiracy theory with tin foil hat is telling me casino is using bots to fill up the leaderboard.

-All the user names starred out (for privacy reasons, of course)
-All these points dropping in within 2 days
-Brand new casino

Seems pretty fishy to me.
I dont really have any proof but Im reporting it to the AGCO gaming commission.

I find it super hard to believe out of nowhere in the middle of the night people are betting 10x what im betting all at the same time. I did tonnes of $400 bonus buys and $4 spins in those 3.5 hours.

In a new casino that opened in the last couple of weeks.

BTW all those points dropped within 3.5 hours. I was in 1st place..3.5 hours ago. I looked after my session and thats what is displayed.

Big wins at casinos do happen, but they are rare and often part of marketing. Some casinos may use bots or fake accounts, especially the less trustworthy ones, so it’s important to play only on licensed and verified sites. Remember that the casino always has the advantage, and the wins you see are just the tip of the iceberg.

I often see a few people after a while even recognized names but 13 whales at the same time does seem a bit off :)

Like mulven asked, makes a difference on who its open to. If its a provider tournament, trust me, you'll see big big whales come in on last day even, it doesn't matter new or old casino, its just the provider audience from other casinos.

This is a Canada, Ontario only tournament. They are a sister site to draft kings and they all have seperate tourney pools per casino/per region. It is not provider specific. All slots count.

Prize pool is $1000 for top prize.

There is no way 13 rich dudes sign up and play all at the same time at 4am in the morning. You have to opt into this tournament. So 13 rich guys all opted in and spun hundreds of thousands of dollars for a top prize of 1k?

I was in first place for the first 2 days by far. Suddenly in 3.5 hours while i wagered $10,000 myself..13 players moved ahead of me by a massive amount in the middle of the night.

This was also a brand new casino.

Pretty clearly employees doing this.
