Question about getting a check from Slotastic (USA)

Hi!
Has anyone in the USA gotten a check from Slotastic? I am considering this option and I live in Washington state. What bank is the check drawn on and is there a high likelyhood that my bank will put a hold on it. I'm trying to determine if this is the way to go or if a wire will be better. I already have a $2300 wire pending from them, but I can also take a $3000 check and not have to wait.

I also wonder if their checks identify the casino? I've never been down this road before, so any information will be very helpful.

I had a great night and managed to turn my $100 deposit into well over $6000. About time!

An expedient reply will be appreciated.

Thanks!

If the check is going into the same bank as the wire, it may make them suspicious because you will have received $5300 in total from overseas. If this is unusual compared to the usual cashflow through the account, they may look more closely.

Further, if they do manage to figure out the check is from a casino, they may determine that the wires are also from casinos, even though there is insufficient information from the wire itself.

It may be prudent to wait and withdraw the $3000 by wire later on, or at least pay the check into a different bank.

There is usually a requirement in law for banks to report transactions above a given amount, and for this they use the total of all transactions, rather than the size of each one. It is well known that people divide large transactions into a number of smaller ones, hence the "sum total" approach.

The other reason banks might put a hold on checks from overseas is that it can take some time for the bank to actually receive the funds. They don't want to honour such a check, only to find a month or two later they are having to contact the customer to get the money back if the check bounces.

The banking system itself is moving away from checks in favour of electronic payments, as there are so many problems with checks where the promise to pay does not get honoured, and the receiving parties lose out. Check fraud is also a big concern.

Checks will disappear altogether in the UK by 2018, and even now many businesses will no longer accept them, insisting instead on a card payment, or even cash.

I've personally done multiple checks from Jackpot Capital group without any issues. The checks actually come from a bank in Canada not overseas. They actually are quicker than a wire most times from my experience. Usually if they approve on a Sunday and I have the check by wed/Thursday.

That being said, you never know when a bank may have issues with incoming transactions. But as with most casino checks they come with the names of what seems like a legitimate business on the front. Not the casino name.

I sure wish I had looked at this post before requesting my bank wire from Slotastic!
It's been over 10 business days...still no wire transfer.:(
Thanks for the info. It's helpful.

Have you been in contact with the casino and if so, what is their explanation? Now ya got me concerned about my pending wire transfer.
I hope they are not slow payers, since my last cash out from them was when we still had QuickTender and they processed it the same day
I requested it. I'm gonna hate to have to wait a long time to get my funds!

"An expedient reply would appreciated"..??

A bit rude IMO. I'm sure people will reply when they can....this isn't customer service its a forum.

I would definitely get in touch with a rep Yameater. Slotastic has always claimed 10 business days, however from my personal experience it usually only takes up to 5 business days. Maybe it's location or your financial institution? Not sure.

Takethemoney- I would not be concerned. You will get paid. Maybe not on your timeschedule, but you will.:) I know it's a pain waiting but for that dough? I'd be patient. Congrats!

I don't see it as rude and I said I would appreciate a quick reply. How was that rude? One shouldn't have to feel like they can't seek quick advice because of what you might think or say. If that was out of line I'm sure one of the forum moderators would consider it their job to tell me.

Anyway, I was asked to call the casino, which I did. I was informed they cannot pay me via wire in my state, nor can they send me a check. I can get my wins at the rate of $850 per week, via Moneygram, or set up a MyPayLinQ, which I am doing now.

Just an update

I have received phenomenal service from this casino. Jessica contacted me while I was playing and asked me to call them. She then informed me that I had been sent $850 by MG and they had flushed my other money and sent it to MyPaylinQ. Very friendly, to say the least and I'm very impressed with this level of service, which is something you generally don't see these days. Kudos to her, Yasmeen and the Jackpot Capital group, in general. My experience is a model of what great customer service looks like.
