I was wondering if anyone ever closed their Quicktender account for a period of time?

I don't want to contact every casino that I have on my laptop so I thought if I closed Quicktender for a month or so it might be easier.

If anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate them.

Actually the website says re:closing your Quicktender account...

Just stop depositing.

I wish it were that easy! I guess I will have to self exclude myself from the casinos I have been playing at.

So you want to close your casino accounts for a brief period? Are you afraid of people getting into your account during this time or is it for self-control?

I don't know what means you use to deposit to quicktender, but perhaps cutting off your means of deposit might be the way to go? If you self exclude, you may risk not being able to reactivate your accounts, especially at MG as a US player.

Or drop into the vault and have us cheer you on in your resolve.

Yes, I wanted to close them for my lack of self control!

Jasmine, thanks for letting me know I may not be able to open the accounts again. I had no idea that could happen!

I think I might let my brother hold my money after I pay my bills or keep my laptop at his house.

Someone mentioned using gamblock. Anyone have input on them?
Thanks guys!

You can contact the casinos and have them temporarily lock your accounts, that way they never fall off the account roles and they just show as locked by player and you can unlock them at any time. I've had some that were locked for several years that I unlocked last year and threw money at them.

Bally, your a very good soul mate and please please do not take offence to this as I only want the best for what you want.

Mate it is sounding like you are making excuses here saying things like " if I do this then I might ot be able to do this" , "if I do this will this happen" etc.
dont worry about all that stuff, your giving yourself excuses not to exclude yourself and you shouldnt be, obviously there is something inside there saying I need to have a break and this voice needs to be listened to.
You can always gamble again mate, dont think it is the end of it if you do get gamblock or close your account at some places?, what is six months in the real scheme of things???- nothing

As i said gamblock has the feature when your loading the software to put in what sites you want to access, If by chance that doesnt work you can always email gamblock requesting just to view this site and they will do that for you.

I closed out QT last summer for the exact reason you are contemplating. To ease myself into the "no deposit" mode I thought back to what I used to do with myself before discovering online casinos. It is much much easier to forget gambling when you have something else to do that you like to do (well, duh!!) I also discovered how freakin easy it is to get sucked in to casinos and their ways of getting/keeping you addicted. So after these many months I can honestly say I have no desire to step back onto the casino merry-go-round! You go girl .... you can do it!

How did you do that? There is no option for closing QT, if you want to close your QT account, they will tell you just to stop depositing to QT, (their words).

First off I want to thank everyone for the advice and concern.

I know I am a compulsive gambler, I have said that since I came here 3 years ago. I don't want to be looked at as one of those members who looks for help to stop gambling and then people still see me posting here that I'm still playing. I've seen that happen with other members and I am not a hypocrite. I know I will still want to gamble, I would never want to play with peoples sympathies. I just wanted to know if it was possible to close Quicktender.

I stopped gambling for about 3 months last year when they stopped selling Netspend gift cards. It was hard but I knew I COULDN'T purchase so the thought went out of my head. I could have bought the prepaid card but I knew it would take a week or so to get it and that made it easier to not bother getting one. During that time I still played free tourneys and that kind of satisfied me.

I hope this didn't come off as rude...not my intention at all. :)

I did that by deleting all links to QT from my computer and blocking emails from them. Kinda hard to deposit there if you can't find the site :D Any special reason you are trying to impune my integrity Mercy? :p
