PROBLEM PLAYING AT CLUB WORLD

I signed up there a year or so ago for a free chip and never made a deposit. Now that i know they are a good casino i want to play there but when i log on to the casino i cant get into any of the games or the cashier or anything. I am able to logon and it shows a .19 balance obviously left from the free chip way back.
When i click on the cashier or on any of the games it says "download failed". I wondered if anyone may have an idea why this is happening.
I talked to live chat and they said check my firewall but i dont think its that because i downloaded Jackpot Capital last nite (another RTG site) and it works fine. I tried redownloading Club World and it still does the same thing. Their support doesnt seem to understand whats wrong so i thought maybe somebody here could help.
Thanks in advance for any opinions on what to try next.

If you feel comfortable with it, why not try turning off your firewall for just the few minutes that it takes for clubworld to load and download any updates?

I'm not telling you to do this, I'm just saying you could if you feel comfortable to rule firewall issues out. Also if you happen to be behind a router you are actually quite safe for the few minutes that you would have your firewall off.

lol.....OK. ummmmm let's see what I can come up with. Do you know someone who is a bit more computer savy who could come over and assist?

I know you said you redownloaded it last night, but let's clarify things if you don't mind. Did you uninstall the old version before you installed the new one that you downloaded last night?

If you didn't uninstall, I'd suggest you do that, then try reinstalling again. Might not help but it won't hurt anything.

If you haven't done it already, try uninstalling Club World and re download and install again

Ok, I went to control panel and it asked if i wanted to uninstall it and i clicked yes and it says "Uninstall error. Could not find installation path. Uninstall aborted."

Geez, it wont let me remove the program!

From the error message it doesn't sound like it's installed correctly. Go ahead and try reinstalling the program again and let's see what happens.

Ok, i downloaded again and it said "something exists to u want to replace it" and i said yes. Immediately opened, had my username already typed in so i typed my password and it let me in. Showed the .19 balance so i tried to go to a slot and it did the "download failed" bit again as before.

I am thinking it has to do with not being able to uninstall the original version for some reason but i am not sure and dont know another way to uninstall it.

Frustrating!!!

Oh it's ok paulo, not a problem. :)

I'm trying to think of something else to help with your problem but I'm not coming up with anything right now. I will post back if I think of something. In the mean time maybe someone will come along and offer a suggestion.

Unistall it again than go to" search" and type "casino USA" and cancel all the files that will come up. when you done with it retart the computer and reinstall the casino if it doesnt work you can committ suicide....lol:lolup:

I've only just seen this thread, but I had the exact same problem yesterday - only mine may be worse!

When I was getting the same 'can not download' message as Paul, I went to the website to re-download. The only download available was the UK Pound version - but my account is in US$... :eek2:

I went ahead anyway, but when I try to log in it says 'User or Password not recognised'... :mad:

I guess I'll now have to uninstall both versions & try to find a way of getting to the US$ download...
Seems like a lot of farting around just to deposit & lose (probably) my own money... :(

Hi a quickie way around this is to hit start, then search for the casino, then either run the casino or the set up by administrator.

For some reason this works, what dont work is just run as admin from desk top, plus its not a permanent fix.

FYI - Uninstalling RTG software doesn't clean the registry. When you re-install RTG, a new registry key is generated which causes a conflict with the existing one. It's an easy and safe fix - let me know if I can help.
