Pokerstars and Sky

In 2016 i excluded from betfair, been using sky Vegas since.
will this cause a issue you think at some point?..

Possibly. So if you can re-enable the account, might be worth doing so. And once re-enabled, set a deposit limit of £1.

only minefield if you self exclude, if you do that you should never gamble again. I time out to take breaks but s self exclude is admitting you have a problem you can't control. This should only ever be used in extreme circustances.

Sadly it’s also often the only “obvious” option if you want to close the account. And I’d guess a lot of people use it for that reason.

There should be a licence obligation that the account page must offer an immediate link to close the account. Not an email request. A simple button.

Yep shouldnt have done but at the time I didnt realize the implications,I was pissed off with 32red stopping
flushing after doing it for years, dont have a gambling problem just cant find anywhere that wants my money.
I ended up SE,ing at All British as I tried to close the account but they gave a link if I wanted to re open it.

Same ownership, different licences.

This is the problem with casinos changing ownership - and Sky has changed hands a few times in the last recent years - it should not be allowed to retrospectively pass exclusions over cross-licence following a sale. The layman doesn't understand who the Flutter Group are.

There has to be a better way.
I fully agree.

When you join a new online casino you should be checked on the way in, not after 2 days have elapsed. The whole sign-up process needs to be more rigorous, otherwise you end up with loads of 'Casino X banned me and confiscated my balance' complaints, which paint the industry in a very unfavourable light. Trouble is, it might take a while to check and verify a fresh customer, and seeing as most players want to gamble today, not wait until tomorrow, there's bound to be resistance from both sides in adopting something more stringent.

But this is something the UKGC needs to start looking at, not pointless shit like banning turbo play and enforcing 3 second game times.

Spent over 8k in 2 days with them and was over a issue regarding payments.
Not addiction based nor refused free stuff.
Just pathetic service considering the amount I was owed and spending at the time.

Just tried to contact sky Vegas, phone option is off and chat looks to be taking forever.
Don’t want deposits or anything back as since 2016 self exclusion at betfair sky Vegas paid me no issue, just need clarification that should I win a life changing amount going forward previous betfair issues won’t hamper me...

Aye, Sky and Betfair will only have come under the same ownership since 2018. They've probably not noticed, but if they want to check, sensible to know first.

That’s what I’m trying to do, no way will I gamble a penny without written clarification all is ok going forward.

This is my issue. My betfair SE was 2016 not gambling related.
contacted sky and had no reply as yet.

Used Betfair when i was matched betting, lost interest after a while, and when they requested
docs i didn't bother to respond, kinda forgot about it and found the account closed some time later.
Didn't realise there was a connection.

Skys Support is William Hill Standard; pretty poor; last time I sat waiting on their chat for half an hour; went to get a smoke (20 seconds to find a lighter and back) and the agent had closed it cos I didn’t reply in time. Time before that it took 7weeks to sort out a lost ten quid deposit.

Still absolutely no response from Pokerstars although they did kindly withdraw my 14p balance back to me, great bunch of lads. Seriously though, 20 days, 2 complaints, zero response. Not good enough particularly as they are part of the "mega group" of a ton of the biggest bookies/casinos in the land.

Also last week got an email to say my Betfair account has been shut down, not that I ever used it.

Frightening, still zero response from these clowns. Anyone aware of an escalation point at group level I.e Flutter? Now 7 emails deep that have been sent to numerous teams and absolutely zero response. Completely unacceptable.

You got your 14p balance back mate, every cloud and all.....

Oh I know...at least I didnt have to chase them lol! Dont even care about the money, I just want a formal response particularly as Betfair have shelved my account as well now due to this.

It's easy to be dismissive of 14p, as it's generally not a life-altering amount.

Things get a tad more serious however when talking about that poster a while back who spent 6 years chasing up £1

It puts things in perspective, and is somewhat humbling if truth be told

That much is true, we live and learn.
Thank god for small mercies, 14p or a returned pound to the disgruntled player..

That was class! "Less than £1".

I just dont like ignorance....so I'll keep chasing for a response. It needs explanation!
