I am very new to online casinos but I have played poker for years. I recently downloaded the Cirrus Casino and got their free $30 in chips to play with. I had never played on their site before but I had amazing luck and built it up to $1325 playing slots. Once I finished playing the required 15x the $30 bonus. I wanted to withdraw the cash but then I read about the max withdrawal of $100 on free chips in which they delete the rest of your profit. I have never made a cash deposit on this site and I don't won't to loose out on this score. There must be a way to get this money - can anyone help me??

I think your chances of getting this money are very slim if not downright impossible but just make sure you have followed all the T&Cs, send in your ID and hope for the best. Good luck.

No. Just withdraw the $100 and hope that they pay out, then deposit the $100 in a Casino that's on the Meister's list, and if you win, you'll be paid.

There's usually a max payout with a no-deposit bonus. Most you can get out of this is $100 I guess.

The upside: You didn't lose anything! That's something!

Cheers,
SM

Max. 100$ cashout and if any progressives were played the winnings become void...But hopefully you'll get your 100$...that's not bad after all, is it? :D

Hi Sealclubber,

And welcome to the forum. Sorry to burst your bubble of a big win, but I believe the most you're going to receive is $100. Which once you think about it, it ain't so bad.

On the other hand, I wish that this casino would discontinue this free money crap. All it does is turn people off if or when they get a big hit. You should just play in "free" mode. It would alleviate a lot of frustration.

Further, you should have read ALL of the terms and conditions before accepting any offers thus negating this disappointment.

Seconded. Plus I have another bone to pick about no deposit bonuses and indeed, some deposit bonuses.

In relation to the "max payouts". I would love to be able work out how much depositors who play with a bonus lose out.

Games unlike blackjack that payout like a slot/fruit machine that are joined up across all players on the system are a mix of depositors who play with their own cash credits and players that are playing with bonuses that have a max payout rule.

Hence depositors don't get jackpots that the bonus players are getting that they cannot collect on.

Don't like it atall.

 I don't understand this point.

Each individual player's results are completely independent on other player's results anyway.

Slots take the money first, then they payout the 80-90% or whatever. Not everyone gets back 80-90% on each session. Some will get nothing, some will double up and so on.

If I get a bunch of jackpots on a no/dep bonus which I won't get paid out on, there are cash players that got may get no jackpots because the no depositors won.

Not good.

That's only true of UK "fruit machine" style slots.

All others run off a random number generator, which decides what symbols land on which reels - and when. In theory therefore, you could hit the jackpot ten times in a row, regardless of how much the casino has paid out.

Coincidentally, the random number generator, in conjunction with the number of symbols, and the number of reels means... guess what? A payout percentage of around 95%! Magic! ;)

You need to remember that the jackpots on slots are greatly inflated because of the free chips. On some of the machines more than 50% of the jackpot that someone wins using their deposit with a no max cashout was built by free chips.
I am sure a player would not be satisfied hitting a jackpot and than being told that they would only get a portion of the posted amount because the rest of the funds were created from free chips and no deposit bonuses.
I believe that when all is said and done it pretty much balances out in the end.

Virtual prohibitted free chips on the "System Wide" progressive's because those would have been paid by RTG and not the casino, and RTG would not have paid them. As for the local slots where I have seen the progressive jackpot go over 250k those would be paid by the casino and players are allowed to play those with free chips and no deposit bonuses, but with those the casino would only pay the amount of the free chip out.
I watch different casino's promotions and think it is funny when they have a "special slots promotion" for a certain slot or two only. When you check those certain slots the Jackpot is abnormally high, so the casino is pushing players to that slot with free chips and big bonuses so when the jackpot hits they don't have to pay out the whole thing. That is the time to play those slots with no bonuses, so if you hit it is all yours.

Also I have seen abnormally high jackpots at times because players do not play max coins. I just wanted to point out that if you play a slot and trying for the jackpot, make sure you PLAY MAX BETS. I have seen a number of slot jackpots hit with less than max coins in, and it resets the slot machine.

Since I'm relatively clueless about slots, when you say "max bets," do you mean playing all the lines?

For example, I play all lines of a 15-line progressive slot, but I'm not betting the maximum amount of money. As long as I play all the lines, does it matter what my coin size is in regards to a progressive slot?

Therefore online casinos can lose on slot machines? Not how I understand it atall. Blackjack yes, not slots.

re

I remember taking that cirrus free chip a long time ago. I did not read the t&c.
I played ronin. Won 550 dollars, cashed out the 100 and it was void.

I would never play there .

I usualy only take bonuses that are sign up and then I will deposit a small
amount. I hate wager conditions, unless they are free of course:)

If im putting in a couple hundred and hit something big, I want the option to cash out, though that cash out button evades me,lol

I have this thing , if its not a thousand dollars, I dont cash out,lol
So I loose a lot... but its such fun:)))

A casino should never loose money on slots. Only a poorly run casino that uses too high of bonuses and free chips would have a chance of not making money.
When I said Max coins, I was refering to that on most slots if you line up the correct symbols for a jackpot and you have not played the max amount of coins or max number of lines, you will still be paid but not get the jackpot. So although the jackpot was not hit, the jackpot sequence was hit so the slot will probably not be hit for awhile.

Not if the machine is random....same old story. The fact that your neighbor just hit the jackpot sequence makes no difference to your chances of hitting the jackpot sequence. OK, if the jackpot is hit but not paid, and resetted anyway, then it will make a huge difference to the expected return %. I would never play in a casino that resets their progressive jackpot even if they didn't pay the previous winner...

Speaking of free chips and bonuses. I don't think free chips are very risky for the casino, especially when they have the WR attached. I didn't invent gunpowder so somebody needs to help me out with the math:

Let's assume that a major online casino called Casino VirtualPayouts is giving out $100 in no-deposit bonuses to 10,000 customers. No WR attached, immediately cashable. Worst case scenario: Everybody cashes out immediately. The casino loses $1,000,000. But it's more likely that everybody will wager some. If the Casino give it a slots (progressives excluded) 1xWR, the Casino's expected loss is about $950,000 (I think, please feel free to correct me if I'm completely wrong). And that's only if everybody wagers it minimum WR on average. But alas, people will wager more than once. In fact, most players will play it down (it's free money, right, might as well go for those high bets and big wins!) I don't know the math, but I'll just guess that the casino might expect to lose directly about $100,000 for having this very nice promotion event that will make a lot of players happy and they get a lot of publicity and loyal players = $$ in the future. Of course there is the possibility that someone will get extremely lucky and blow up the vault with a $150,000 Thunderstruck win :) but that's just going to be a dip in the monthly profit curve and given that the big casinos make a profit of tens of millions of dollars each year, it's no biggie.

OK, you mathheads out there. Assume it's a 100% match bonus on slots (95% average return), i.e. deposit $100 get $100. 10xWR on slots. What is the casino's expected loss here, from this promotion, not counting the increased business following the promotion??? I can't do the math, but I suspect the expected loss is not big. In fact, all things considered, I expect the casino will actually make a profit from this promotion.

Cheers,
SM
