Looks as if Playtech is capable of paying progressive jackpots in full and immediately after all:

PLAYTECH AND NETBET SIGN SIX YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

Agreement comes after player strikes gold to claim Euro 4 million jackpot.

According to a presser from Playtech plc, a regular NetBet customer has struck it lucky by winning the progressive jackpot of Euro 4 million on Playtech favourite Gold Rally, just days after the long-term licensee agreed a six-year contract extension until 2021.

The mega jackpot was won just before Christmas by a regular NetBet player who has chosen to remain anonymous (see previous InfoPowa report) and comes just six months after NetBet launched its exclusive Playtech Vegas tab. It is also the first time a NetBet player has claimed the top prize on the Playtech progressive network.

The new NetBet - Playtech contract includes exclusive casino content, poker and poker side games and will see the partnership between the two companies extend to more than two decades.

The well-established NetBet brand is officially licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and offers players more than 400 different games. NetBet sponsors Premier League football club West Bromwich Albion and French Ligue 1 football clubs Saint Etienne and Ajaccio.

Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our excellent relationship with NetBet, one of our most established partners and, that just days after signing the agreement, one of their players struck gold on one of our biggest progressive games.”

Alexandre Mangaud, Marketing Manager, NetBet, said: “We’re delighted both with the agreement and for our winning jackpot player. It’s a massive win for us with the contract extension already reaping huge rewards.

“We’re pleased to say our winning player was paid the full amount in less than 48 hours. What a Christmas they’ve just had!” added Mangaud.

Yet another Playtech casino, whoopie!

This might be down to it having been won from a UK licenced casino, and with Playtech also being listed on the UK stock exchange, they probably thought it wise not to jerk this particular jackpot winner about.

However, this can now be used to challenge any future attempts by Playtech casinos to drip feed such jackpots or try to strike off the record deals via a free email account.

Playtech always could pay the jackpots in full, it was the casinos that decided to hold onto the winnings and dripfeed them and Playtech never did anything to make them pay that is why they were rogued for it.

That was EXACTLY what I was going to say.
It has always been unethical casinos who applied these unfair rules - Playtech are unethical by association for letting them get away with it. :(
Not being racist, but that is just the Israeli way of doing business...

The same Netbet (not to be confused with casinos of a similar name) I PAB'd against? That ripped-off iNetbet's logo? That I rewrote the bonus terms for and the rep actually them word-for-word in their site? (hence the 'unofficial terms editor' line in my profile).

They are advertising heavily in the UK at present so I'd guess the winner was here too.

Sponsoring WBA! There must be some serious dosh in this industry, as they were a shabby little outfit barely 3 years ago.

I hope you weren't responsible for this term then

*Our payment partners Skrill (MoneyBookers) and Neteller are not participating in this offer.
Casino deposits carried out using these payment methods will in no way be eligible for the welcome bonus.

I might have given them a try, if it wasn't for that

LOL...No.

I basically took the £10 free chip, max 100 win. Tried to cash-out 94 (read the terms of course) which required a card registered and a deposit IIRC. They had a term that meant you can't cash-out while any bonus is in play and auto-applied a SUB which meant my 84 profit was stuck. Refused to remove it on chat. PAB'd and Max backed me on this, but the rep was in a battle of wills with us and refused point-blank to pay me. The bonus terms never mentioned this and accredited sites must be able to let you opt-out or remove a bonus you don't want I believe.

You can read the thread here for some entertainment:

After this the rep, who came here as I remember it to get accreditation, sort of died away and they never got accredited.

The we had this shocker:

Netbet used to be the old rogue 770casino and read this thread for a good laugh.....especially the logo bits!!

I had no idea Neteller actually ran welcome promotions for casinos, I always thought the casinos did this themselves. The only thing I am aware of Neteller "participating in" is transactions between account holders, including merchants. It must have been really tough for their marketing team when they received that notice from the CEO of Neteller stating that they were not prepared to participate in their welcome offer:rolleyes: I can imagine them pleading with VISA on bended knee to participate in their welcome offers, else they would be bereft of the main means of attracting new players:rolleyes:

I'm kinda confused. Why is there an emphasis in this story on the player being a typical NetBet player

If I won a playtech jackpot, would they media press call me "one of MG's boys" won big at Playtech??
