Phoenician - Can this be right?

Does this sound crazy to you? Or is it just me?

I signed up at Phoenician. They offered

1st 100 deposit 100 bonus
2nd 600 deposit 300 bonus
3rd 3200 deposit 800 bonus

I did all three and lost everything very quickly. Then I got an email saying I had been upgraded to Silver status, and if I deposit $50 I would get 50 bonus. I did, and I lost the 50 bonus (they have a separate account for the bonus) and then caught a little luck and ran the 50 into about 1300.

When I tried to cash out they said I hadn't met the wagering requirement. I asked what remained and they told me that my wagering requirement was

100+600+3200+50 times 10 = 39,500 of which I had only wagered 9,500. Believe me, if I knew that my $50 deposit was going to have a $30,000 wagering requirement I never would have done it. Shouldn't the wagering start over if you lose all your money?

What makes matters worse, I asked if I made a deposit with no bonus, and they said I would still have to make up the 30,000 in wagering to cash out.

Does this make sense to anyone? The customer service was very fast, and pleasant, but why would anyone go back to play there with these rules
:what:

What a headache for such a small amount. Phoenician is a great casino but those rules are ridiculous. I would just play it through because it most likely states these rules somewhere in the T&C's which players should read (at least the promotions and bonus T&C's) , but I would not claim bonuses there again, or anywhere. Not worth it!

I take it you have actually explained to them you lost all your previous deposits? Sometimes support/accounts overlook this so think you need to do the full wagering.

I lost everything at other members in the group (Aztec Riches etc) not too long ago and they never held me to previous wagering.

You are correct. If you have zeroed your account, previous PT requirements should NOT be carried over if I am not mistaken.

Please advise - I am presently in a position to get a quick answer.

Sounds as though you would be a someone they would want to retain. Make sure you have actually made you acount $0. If not ask them to waive all the wagering restrictions. If they do not then they do not value you as a player there and you should find a place that would treat you better

I am not trying to be skeptical but Phoenician is really not what it used to be. These WRs stated by the casino are really ridiculous and seem to be an excuse from them for not paying you. Unless you deposit a fairly large sum without bonuses, you can never catch up. Meanwhile, even if you meet their WRs,you will have another hurdle in cashing out because they simply do not stick to their promise of a 48 hour pending period for withdrawals. My experience was that after the stated pending period, your withdrawal will still be pending and the answer they give is that they process withdrawals in batches and you will have to wait 3-4 days for the next batch. In the meantime, your withdrawal remains in your account for you to reverse.

Dont try to PM the casino rep listed here. He wont answer your mails. I tried it last week and he hasnt responded.

There is a thread at the other site where they emailed this same offer to players (the email had their player acct number) and when players deposited, casino told them they were not eligible for the promo even though they emailed the offer to the player and even put the players acct number on the email.

IMO Phoenician is definitely not near the casino it was as an RTG site.

ask casino first

hello
i have been playing online about 4 years you have to ask casino f
irst that you have know the rules its like ask casinos if you can play anygame you like also ask if you can deposit again and get bonus when you have a cash out also ask casino if you have lost your deposit and bonus if deposit and you take another bonus do you have to wager for last bonus or both of them and save them to nptepad or some where and when they tell you diffrent throw them to their face acually lately alot of casinos has becouse more good becouse they have inrceased the wagering requirements and they want to get in to the market

This kind of garbage has got to stop. I'm not at all surprised that Dean is not involved with Phoenician and Nostagia any longer. If they keep this kind of nonsense up it will only serve as an indicator of much more serious things to come down the road. Have a good one.

Thank you Mr. Spearmaster. I definitely went down to zero every time.

Yep,this is the promo I also received. My account number was also included but then there was something in the T&C's mentioning that this was only meant for new players who do not have an account with the casino. This sounds illogical, right? When asked, they had the balls to ask me which promotion I was referring to although the above was forwarded to them. Totally disgusted,I didnt even bother to ask again. Seems to me that this is a trap to entice existing players to deposit and then not to award bonuses stating this is only for new players. What a sham.

Does this mean it's safe to go back into the water, or should I expect to be calling on Mr Spearmaster too, if I play at these casinos?

Bumby start

Phoenician has really had a bumby start on the MG software. I for one thought it was a change for the better, but there have been several problems. Some people that were promised bonuses did not get them, and their support doesn't seem to know about the wagering requirements correctly. Too bad Deans not there anymore. John the manager of adriches seems to be one person that can help in some of the problems. Posts like this thread should get some managers attention in the group....

It is obvious that if balance hits 0 the wagering requirements should also be zeroed out. Many casinos in the past have had a stupid rule that the requirements would not zero out, but i dont think there are too many organisations that do that anymore. It makes no point in deposing if you have many thounsads of wagering from previous bonuses.

I think they will always be safe, but they do still have the occasional hiccup which needs addressing.

Playthrough does NOT carry over if you zero out, this has already been verbally confirmed to me.

Really??? If we got the bonus in their ( my ) bonus account, then even if I zero out the balance in bonus account, still the old gone bonus carry over the wagering through requirement?? What a nonsense.

The thing I don't like about Micro Phoenician is if you "happen to" receive the
"wheel of Fortune", even though you do not wish to receive it, your original
deposit in real account will be incurred by the wagering through requirement.

"Wheel of Fortune" is a wheel of "Fortune" not a bonus. Why does my original
depiosit need to be incurred by the wagering through??? Very strange.

Most Cryptologic casinos do carry over the wagering requirements.
I don't believe this is the case at any Cryptologic casinos, with the exception of William Hill.

Now, this can't be right can it? It makes no sense at all for a casino to operate this way. Attracting new customers isn't cheap, and if the wr requirement carries over, I find it hard to believe that there is a client out there stupid enough to deposit more money into their account knowing that, in effect, there will be a wagering requirement simply for making a deposit.

If I have a zero balance in my account, I also have no bonus dollars in my account. Therefore, there should no longer be a wagering requirement.

i agree, but then not many casinos offer monthly match bonuses

taken from promotional terms&conditions at intercasino.com --> bulletin 8

"Please note that if the wager requirement is not fulfilled within the month the said bonus is issued, any outstanding wager requirement will continue until the wager requirement is met - even if additional bonuses are issued. "

Carrying over the WR if the player received another bonus is acceptable, it is ultimately for the casino to decide whether it makes good business sense or not, but doing it for a deposit without bonus should be near the top of the list of stupid casino tricks.
