Online Casinos

Well, it sounds like the poster has spoken to a number of players, both active & inactive, and only the inactive ones got this 'offer'. They would certainly know before they sent out the email whether you were active during that timeframe or now. Asking you to confirm it and then request the bonus is more like baiting you to come back and play in anticipation of getting a free 50 bucks next month because you were 'active'.

If no active players received this mail, and therefore were not able to claim their free $50 just for being active, then its a scam.

Precisely.

I have spoken to players that have an active account, but none of these recieved the offer. I have spoken to many players with an inactive account, and some got the promo.

What strikes me is that so far, I have not met a single player with an active account that got the promotional email!

IF there is a scam it is this:

--- quote ---
If your account isn't active, activate it now to qualify for our
weekly bonuses and so you don't miss out again.
--- endquote ---

They are encouraging you to purchase and play at least 50$ to qualify for bonuses that apparently does not exist!

At my local land based casino I choked on a big run of double down on video poker! I have never locked up a $5 video poker machine before and was having lots of success so I was going for it... I managed to take a flush ($175) 35 credits) to $89,600 and the next win would have locked up the machine.... they drew a '5' and I picked a freakin '2'.... every other card was a face card!! GAWD, I almost puked.. what a rush!

They got me that night, but last night I hit them up for at least 12 hand pays doubling a flush or full house (one 4oak) 5 to 8 times. On a $5 vp machine I usually will stop a full house at 5x ($7200) and a flush 6x ($11,200)

I have locked up $1 VP machine quite a few times... the lockup point varies from machine to machine but most seem to lockup at $72,000.

Do any of you like doubling down? via land based or online.

What's your best session? Mine is 13X. Vegas on a $1 VP machine... I doubled a $45 full house 13x to $368,640 before it locked up... I have not found a machine that will go past 13x no matter the denomination machine or when its set to lockup to not allow you any more chances.

LOL... you are a maniac :) I don't have that type of guts... if the comp system would recognize double-downs as legitimate bets, however, I'd have second thoughts - and you would be living in the Royal Suite RFB for the rest of your life :)

Wow, I definately would have collected before I got to the $89k point. Yikes! What exactly happens when you 'lock up' a machine?? I've not heard that phrase before.

I like to double up when I play online. Usually I'll do it on a 2 pair win (or equivalent) to bump it up to almost a straight win. Sometimes if I'm having a losing session, I'll double almost any small win to give me enough for another hand or two. Thought about doing it with bigger hands, but never had the guts to risk a flush or fh on that.

I usually pick the 2nd available card on my first attempt, unless the dealer has a face card, then I tend to pick the 1st available card. If I continue doubling, I tend to repeat this pattern. Usually works pretty well. I hate getting beaten by a small card like that though, that's the worst.

No special pattern.... just gut. BUT, it seems like machines do run in win streaks. When they are hitting you will notice casino floor persons hanging around the cluster of machines cuz their are so many hand pays.... I tip the bartender by the machines quite well and get him/her to give me a call when the machines are warming up or hot.

I am so curious about this and hope I can explain it right because its confusing...On another thread I once asked IF our money was pooled all together or if each casino has separate games, payouts etc...for instance, If I play at Golden Tiger and I play Treasure Nile, can I only win what money has gone into Treasure Nile at Golden Tiger OR does all money from all casinos who have Treasure Nile get pooled together as if it were ONE Treasure Nile game? I was then answered back that ALL the money IS pooled as if each machine was ONE. (at least thats the way understood it) OK IF that is the case my question is this...If all the money is pooled together from each casino, then it seems like there would HAVE to be ONE specific bank or holding place that ALL the money goes to in order for the casinos to know what they can pay out or keep for themselves or budget what they can afford in bonus'. So if that is the case, how in the world can a casino go bankrupt OR NOT afford to pay thier winners IF they dont even hold the money? Like for instance, say I play at Golden Tiger and win 3 million dollars on the slot game Major Millions...well if the money is all pooled and in holding somewhere, then Golden Tigers casino could not be soley responsable for paying me the 3 million right? Because the only money that is paid out is money that has already been collected & pooled held somewhere...does that make sense? In a land based casino its easy, theres one game and many people play it, and its only gonna spit out a % of whats already been put in, but with so many casinos online with the same games, its really hard to understand. What brought me to this question is another thread I read about a casino asking a winning customer if they would accept payments (weekly) on thier winnings....why would they have to do this? How can a casino NOT afford to pay if the only money paid out is money that is already collected? Gosh I know this is tough to understand, but i hope this made sense.
Thanks a bunch!
Wanda

I think I understand, LOL! :) As far as the progressive jackpots in microgaming, those are paid by Jackpotmadness.com, not the casinos.

As far as other types of casinos, i.e. RTG, I'm not sure if there's a seperate company that pays out on their progressive games.

Regarding casinos making payments, I agree, it doesn't seem right. But unfortunately some of the casinos like to "take the money and run".

If you check https://www.casinomeister.com/accredited-casinos/ the Microgaming "Viper" casinos have "Thunderstruck" which is a nine line five reel slot which can be played as low as 1 cent if you want. The Playtech casinos have a number of nickle slots as well. City Club Casino (Playtech) is Casinomeister's newest member.
:D
Good luck!

City Club is a great casino. It seems like every time I play there, the next day they throw $5 or $10 or so in my account just for playing. They pay fairly quickly too, after a 4 day wait, even on big wins (I won $5k there a month or so ago).

I"ve played there, signed up a couple of months ago. Didn't really win anything but I don't think I had any problem cashing in my initial deposit after playing for a while.

Oops, my fault. I received this explanation from the operators on Monday evening, but I forgot to post it.

The campaign was a legitimate campaign. We don't send every promotion around to all players, but tend to target different groups of players with different promotions.

This campaign may have been received a large number of non-active players, as there are always a large base of inactive Players, in any casinos database.

With respect to active players, certain campaigns only go to multi-purchasing players: i.e. players who don't only purchase only when they're offered a promotion, though we may still send these promotion's to non-active players to encourage them to activate their account and qualify for future promotions.

For example, one week after this promotion, we sent round a promotion offering active players a 20% bonus on their next purchase, and the following weekend, we offered a 15% cashback on weekend losses!

Suffice to say, while some player's did not qualify for the bonus, and several player's were not targeted with the promotion, the bonus was awarded to a number of players (approximately 75).

Hopefully this will give you a clearer insight into this particular promotion and encourage your readers to keep playing at The Havana Club.

Regards

Well I for one still don't like the smell of this one. It leads an inactive player to believe that if they deposit & play this month, that next month you'll get a nice little $50 bonus out of the blue. This is quite different than an offer of 20% bonus on your next purchase.

75 players would probably represent less than 1% of the total players at that casino. What they should have said is "Suffice to say, while MOST players did not qualify..." as that would have been a more accurate statement. Hopefully they'll learn something from this whole thing. This is right on the edge of a bait-and-switch scheme and shouldn't be repeated if they want to maintain any integrity.

I've only trusted and played Intercasino which used to take PayPal and now I'm forced to join another payment service. I HATE that. lolol

Well, WELCOME NEWBIE!!! (That would be me!) Perhaps I should've spent a couple of seconds perusing through some threads before wasting everyone's valuable time posting questions that are already answered. *embarrassed icon placed here*

As you can see these clowns like to steal other casino software providers games...

Game concepts & or card faces have been stolen from Microgaming & Grand Virtual.

There doing the rounds of the ezboards; why does this not suprise me :uhoh:

Basically if they have no quams about trademarks then it shows they have no integrity and simply can't be trusted.

Problem is a high % of these ezboard forums, don't care who they run, like most portal webmasters really.

Problem is when shit hits the fan, and it always does with dodgy casino's, the miester or others are called on to help players ger their winnings.

While these ezboard forums and casino portals do nothing, just serve up the next dodgy casino standing in line.

It's BS

If you would check this out:
https://www.casinomeister.com/rogue-casinos/
you will note that there is investigations/negotiations going on at Microgaming. 3wgraphics.net claims that they sold these images to Microgaming years ago non-exclusively. I'm still waiting for MG to get back to me on this one.
