Took the "6 months break" excluding at 32red when i had a lucky streak at some casinos and didn't want to loose, now i opened the account again and seems that the club rouge status is gone although it still shows "Club Rouge for Life in my lobby".

Asked now to close my account. I still LOVE 32Red, but honestly if they take away that "you're special" status there are many many other MG casinos that pay quicker and are reliable.

Rosie: Hi, my name is Rosie.
hoff: Hi Rosie!
hoff: I just wanted to ask if today's club rouge offer is the one i see in my lobby (50% up to 50$)
hoff: Username xxxxxxx
hoff: XXXXXXXX
Rosie: It's 50% up to $100
Rosie: Could you send me a screen shot of the offer you are seeing please?
File attachment upload has started.
The file Capture.PNG (846.05KB) was received.
hoff: I had the same thing 2 days ago... My offer was 20% and live caht told me, no it's 50!
Rosie: Okay, just one moment please
hoff: thank you
Rosie: Unfortunately I have just checked and the offer you are receiving is correct
hoff: okay why is that? Are there different club rouge offers?
Rosie: Unfortunately you are no longer a Club Rouge member
hoff: Ah ok got it
hoff: Can i ask you to close my account then permanently?
hoff: Many thanks
Rosie:
I am sorry to hear that you wish to close your account. Player satisfaction is highly important to us here at 32Red and we do not like to lose any of our loyal players.

We will of course, always carry out the wishes of our players, and in order for us to be able to take the correct course of action on the account we would appreciate you providing a reason for your decision to close your account with us.

hoff: I was "Club Rouge for Life" and i took a break for 6 months, and i'm not in Club Rouge anymore. Although offers were not always that different, it felt special to be in the club rouge, and since i'm not in there anymore, i can also play in other casinos where i get good offers and fast payouts. Thanks
Rosie: I'm sorry you feel that way
For your security could you please confirm your date of birth and post code? Thank you.

hoff: XXXXXXX
hoff: XXXXXXXX
Rosie:
Thank you for your co-operation. All account closure requests are dealt with personally by the Management Team, I will now forward your request and they will in turn review the account and will be in contact with you during the next 72 hours.

hoff: Great! Thank you and have a nice sunday!
Rosie: You too :)
hoff: Thanks :)

Happened to me end of last year although at 32RED i was "allowed' to stay Club Rouge.

But at GL, Dash and Ned i was downgraded on the same day, never had stopped depositing but it probably wasn't enough. Only kept my 32RED account active after that.

Was really disappointed as at that time i deposited about 150K / year across the group which 32RED deemed not sufficient.

Now Bet-AT, Videoslots and CasinoLuck/Next are getting appr. 75% of those deposits and they all treat me very well and pay very fast. In the end 32RED's loss, not mine.

I'm sorry you've lost your VIP status.

I'm not sure why you would close your account permanently though.
What happens when they review your account and decide to give back your CR status or when they start paying out instantly? They may once again become the best casino in the industry.
You've given them no chance to 'do the right thing' as your account probably can't be re-activated.

MG accounts are never closed permanently. They are only dormant and can be re-opened any time.

Yes and as they said there is a 72hours review window and management will contact me. So if they want to say something to me, i'm open... Although i'm also not a guy that wants to use the account closure as "pressure" method.... But yeah let's see.

I just don't see any reason why it could make sense to take away the club rouge "benefits" from members, in the end it's only a slightly better cashback and slightly better offers. That's it.

I play mosly Videoslots anyways these days, but thought from time to time a download MG could be fun

hey if you aint happy...walk. So good for you. Lots of casinos out there.

Same thing happened to me with one of my casinos. I took a break from gambling..went on a beautiful trip to Italy, spent time with family. I return a few months later to casino ive been with for maybe 10 years...and they want all my ID...2 utility bills..a signed piece of paper...copy of a bank statement...copy of credit cards and me holding my id taking a picture and sending it to them.

I had the manager call me on my cell phone that theyve called me on before and he said "we value as a member and can see you have played alot with us over the past decade however we still want these documents"

My response after they wouldnt budge "Really? Ok well please close my account. Ive had 3 great offers from my other casinos...who arent requesting all this crap. So if you dont mind, I must go deposit my $2000 there. Have a great day. click"

When they saw I wasnt returning about 3 weeks later I got a call from them telling me they made a mistake. I said sorry guys you waited to long. The other casino is treating me great. Ive lost $4000 there playing drunk recently so im sure they appreciate me too! lol.

Never went back. Wont ever go back. Love my new #1 casino. Buh bye

Treat me right or lose me. love ya

No matter if you just had stopped playing or self exclude for 6 months, I'm not surprise you lost that status.

I believe you would have lost it at any casino, not just 32Red.

I can understand the feeling of disappointment hoff but surely you can't have expected it to still be like before. 6 months is a long time.

Sure, i do not complain! I just wanted to share. I may also did get that Club Rouge thing wrong. I thought this is an invitation only (for life as it said) for special players who the management decides to give them a special status no matter what. I never realized that still for Club Rouge they look at the account if a player still "fits" the club.

Again, i do not complain. It is how it is.

We should all act like this. I feel some players value the impression a casino has towards them. Personnaly... I don't care... If you want to hustle me in any way.... I am done with you and I won't do buisness with you. It's the same thing for any aspect of my personal life. No action to this kind of people. It's their mistake and they realize it too late.

You're correct in that they invite not just high rollers, but that ''...for life'' have been explained as something that MG put there, and that the life status was never their idea. You could see that if you read the rules. We've had that discussion in other threads but maybe you missed them :)

I know how you feel so I do understand you. I'm still in Club Rouge and I don't know how I would react if they kicked me out. They wouldn't dare I hope:D

It's probably the 6 month break that caused this removal from Club Rouge, but they are conducting regular reviews, with some players losing the status, whilst others will gain it. Maybe they have reached a stage where they are operating a "one in, one out" type of policy so that the Club does not get overcrowded.

It shouldn't be possible to "game the system" to get Club Rouge status as can be done for many VIP schemes (you just throw money at it). They also have some segmentation within Club Rouge so that there are different DOTD offers for each segment. I also had the 50% up to £50, but I have also seen the occasional 100% up to £200 and 50% up to £250 in the past. I believe these are from the segment above my usual level, and probably reflected a surge in my activity, such as chucking in £2500 for the £20K fortnightly when it first came out, much of it without a bonus.

I have resumed this level of activity, but also managed two substantial withdrawals, so it's still the 50% up to £50, but I did see a 100% up to £100 earlier, and not on a Friday either;)

If one got chucked out of Club Rouge just for winning, I would have been thrown out in 2009 after "that win":)

It still perturbs me as to why Viper casinos won't let you exclude (as opposed to the break) from their own portal, instead of making one wait up to 72 hours for CS to do it via e-mail.

I did take this up with the UKGC last year after Steve Finn refused to answer e-mails or take telephone calls in regards to this very point, but my complaint came back in favour of 32Red stating "32Red met or exceeded the requirements of responsible gaming in accordance with their license"

A stock reply if ever I saw one.

It's not just this though, Redbet/Whitebet/Heypoker are still mis-describing a loss-limit as a 'deposit limit' when it is no such thing. I mentioned this before, it simply means you can withdraw any amount which is then added to your deposit limit, despite you setting it at say $50..

They have now actually put an explanation on their RG page about this, but it is still absolutely wrong.

I set a $50 a month limit. I win, withdraw 1200.

My deposit 'limit' is now $1250 for this month! I can spunk back the whole w/d until I am down $50 for the month. Therefore their 'deposit' limit is actually a loss limit. Which is effing ridiculous as the have another setting for the loss limit!

I think it is surreptitious and intended as a tool to reduce the effect of lucky players depositing 50 and walking off with the 1200 profit, hoping they'll play some/all back.

This FAR worse than 32red's lack of a self-set exclusion. At least with 32red you can self-set a break, and e-mail them to sort the exclusion out while the break is in place.

I wonder what the UKGC would say about blag and ineffective deposit limits? At least at 32red, if you set a 50 limit, withdraw 2k you cannot deposit any of it back.

The UKGC revamped with all it 'new' rules and regulations etc, all guns blazing, casinos 'walked' players got confused, casinos 'pulled their socks up' etc etc.

The intention, a smooth operation, black and white clarity over regulations, no 'grey' areas.

What we got, disgruntled players, SE threads galore and confusion a plenty, some casinos which carry on regardless.

What it 'says on the tin' is far from what is inside! - Have we any hardened examples where the UKGC has actually had to enforce its policies yet???

They do a lot in the real world, raiding premises for unlicensed machines and premises exceeding the number of terminals etc but not seen much happening online yet.

The problem is that this is protecting government revenue, and sod the customers. They need to start flexing their muscles when customers are getting ripped off even if the right fees are being paid and the right number of terminals is present.

We already have the blatant loophole, visible on every high street, where you end up with three "bookies" from the same operator simply so that they can have 12 FOBTs instead of 4 to serve that high street. The regulation is flawed, and needs to be changed from a "per premises" rule to a "per operator per town" type of rule. They should also have an overall limit based on FOBT per head of adult population per town to prevent the larger operators from simply spinning off subsidiary companies to skirt around a "per operator" based rule.

Yeah, it is just a click on a check box saying "dormant"..... one click to remove it and you are good to go again!!!

I had my club rouge status taken away from me last year so I decided to play elsewhere. Shame, I enjoyed a good run of fortune at 32red, that's why i believe they took away those privileges. I was pumping in close to 100k a year on average for the past 5 years since I got a massive payrise at work!!

Anyway, if that's not enough then there's other casino's that will take my money. One is right now in spades! lol

Sad day for me - lost my club rouge after being in from when it started - was not told by phone or email , just advised in a query to live chat
(would have thought Mark or my new account manager would have at least given me that courtesy !!) - looks like the new owners are having a clear out of loyal regulars - played every single day for the last ten years or so - -- but without the benefits of rouge I guess that will be it for me - no more gambling apart from slot tournaments - (will probably find they stop too now !)

Hi sscrabble,

Sorry to hear that your account has been downgraded from Club Rouge. I wasn't aware of this otherwise I would of course have let you know. The Club Rouge team manage this process, I am not involved in those decisions.

I'm surprised to hear you were not notified. Could the email have gone into spam?

Regards,
Mark

No - nothing.

I could understand it if I had abused the bonus, but I never did - any chance of reversing the decision , or getting a reason why ?

Club Rouge isn't what it was. Now it's simply a way for 32Red to manage the levels of bonuses that players get. This is very much how it was explained to me when I got downgraded. When Club Rouge began, it didn't really come with loads of perks, it was more of a status symbol than a means to getting bigger bonuses. In those days, 32Red would give out one match bonus per month at 100%. Club Rouge was £100, whereas non Club Rouge was £32, and then £50.

Now, Club Rouge acts as a "doubler" for the DOTD bonuses, where the amounts start at 2x the regular amount, but can go even higher based on play.

Today, something else happened to me. I had a message in the lobby about this "32Red Election", which is clearly based on the UK election, yet for the first time ever the link in the message led to "You are not eligible for this". I find it odd as I would have expected this particular offer to have been targeted at UK players. I don't expect to be eligible for "St Paddy's day" offers since I am not Irish, but I know casinos run promotions for this in march.

Maybe I failed to register to vote in 32Red elections, so am not on the electoral roll:D Will I get a £1000 fine for this:p

I had that, was to vote for 100% upto £100 or to get 100 free spins on a slot, with 20 spins triggered per time with every £10 deposit, so £50 deposit will get you 100. One with the most votes is the offer on Election Day....

'T&C

7. The free games awarded will be valid on Tarzan, Fruit vs Candy, Life of Riches and Lost Vegas. Free games will be awarded at the maximum paylines, 1 coin per line at 0.01 coin size.'

I wasn't sure if this was a wind up. I mean, it's a no brainer?
