Newbie help needed

hi I’m new to the site and wanted to say hi I found this site when looking for information

I play on a site that has asked for lots of information as I meet there threshold

They asked for bank statements from two accounts I have and pay slips that I provided now on my bank statement was a payment for £10k which was a gift from my parents when my grandad passed away

There now asking for proof of the payment in the form of my parents bank statement this is too intrusive and I’m not even going to ask for it from them, it clearly says on my statement that the money has come from my parents account because of this it has gone to there higher compliance team and in the mean time have restricted my account I would normally just close the account down and go else where but there is £500 sitting in there which they won’t give me until I have passed there compliance

Surly this is wrong I earn good money which they can see from the statements

Any help would be great

Hi which casino would it be one of the accredited ones here??

Im sure they can not hold you ransom for £500 quid , they need to pay you first then ask you for required stuff , if its duplicate accounts etc then theyre to refund you etc etc , or at least this was the case not long ago , im taking its a UK casino so you should be in good hands, let us know which it is.

Does anyone know if this is standard KYC? I know they need source of wealth but I thought the bank statements were for ID purposes only.

That sounds TOTALLY over the top to me - I would be fuming if a casino asked me for that!

I would send ONE bank statement - but with things which are none of their goddamn business blanked out.
I'm self-employed - so couldn't send them a pay-slip if I wanted to!

In your position I would either submit a PAB here at CM (see top menu bar of forum), or complain to the UKGC.
