Had a quick search of the forum but couldn't find a link to this (new?) Casino.

Anyways, I just had an Email about it - think it's part of the Emperor/Captain Cooks (etc) Casino group.

Can play with 1250 to win 250% (up to 100) bonus or take a 40 instant match bonus.

Blimey you're quick off the mark!! :D

It's a brand new casino which was launched TODAY by the Casino Rewards Group...
Obviously the 18 casinos they already run weren't enough for them... :p

Well - gotta be quick off the mark here eh? ;-)

Just played with the 1250 for something to do and 'won' 2200 - I've virtually stopped playing at online casinos just recently but may just deposit the 40 to get the 100 bonus...if nothing else, 140 should give me some decent playtime...although with MG these days, who knows?

Oh its never enough for them :D when you deal in stock exchange there is no enough, another casino added to their group means new affiliates new customers and more customers from the same group reaping sign up bonuses.
Anything that will increase stock value and profits lol when it comes to greed nothing is ever enough, increasingly smaller payouts and lower table maximums is not exempt
Evil stock markets!

I closed my account at their Casino Classic property 2+ months ago and I'm glad I did.
Care to explain why you're gald?

Didn't Casino Action used to belong to another group?
No, Casino Action was another group! (i.e. not a casino).
They used to run Challenge Casino, Golden Reef, iBig (Japanese), Music Hall, Nostalgia & UK Casino Club until Casino Rewards bought them out last April-ish.

I have been spammed by them but it was the deceptive nature of the email that made me pay attention.
It stated there was Beta test of the site and that if I took part i could win with the money they gave me to test.
That money was simply the sign up free money to try and win a bonus, absolutely no different from just signing up.
Worse still if you follow the link it gives a fake count down of places left for Beta testers to try and pressure you into signing up.

If that is their idea of a good marketing campaign for a new Casino then I don't think I will be signing up.
Just another example of MG's slipping standards.

This seems to be their style, a previous marketing campaign was offering fake cheques, with "you have won a cheque for .... from the write a cheque committee". All it was? the standard MGS free play offer. Check the fine print though, this is not REALLY you being let loose with $1250 of their cash, it is simply "fun money" loaded into the free play flash lobby, and you get an hour to make a profit. No doubt, the profit will be limited to some miserly amount.

Since they bought out the bankrupt Casino Action group (TUSK Investments), they presumably also have the rights to the name, and have now decided the time is right to use it for a Europe focused casino.

Since I am one of their VIPs, I may try it out in a while, since I am highly unlikely to run into any problems related to "bonus abuse", or ID issues.

The Malta license allows them to fully advertise the casino into the UK, and much of the EU, something the Kahnawake license does not (rejected for whitelisting).

The SPAM is a bit odd though, coming as it does during the BETA phase, when there is unlikely to be an affiliate offering to draw in the usual excuse of "it was a rogue affiliate, we will have a word......"

Malta have this habit of giving out "letters of intent", and expect casinos to build a player base up before they are granted a full gaming license. There is nothing to say whether players are protected to the same degree as for a casino with a full license, and my suspicion is that Malta are using PLAYERS rather than "due diligence" to assess whether a casino should be granted a full license. This one should be OK though, being part of Casino Rewards.

If you already have accounts at other CR casinos, make a small deposit at one of these WITHOUT a bonus before trying this new one - this is one of their little traps in the small print, the other is using Autoplay to meet WR on a bonus, not allowed.

I dare say if you avoid these rogue terms you will be OK but that does not excuse them.
I received a follow up email by the way, check the link.

Funny, I watched the counter go all the way down as I was curious what would happen when all those BETA testing spots got filled.

It stopped at 2, and didn't go any further. Stupid gimmicks and stupid marketing people. Why not just offer a decent signup bonus of 100% with decent T&C's and playthrough requirements? Why the charades and borderline deceptive marketing?

I'll pass, as I'm no fan of Casino Rewards anyway.

Same here. My 'beta' offer came from jangomail... one happened to slip thru my spam filters and my message filters (jango=into the dumpster -- as unsubbing had no effect). CR 'advertising' of late has struck me as rather sleazy.

I would say VERY sleazy indeed. Click on "terms & conditions", and you are not allowed to read them:eek: You are ONLY allowed to download the file, and install the casino. The terms displayed at the point of installation relate to the software only, so players are being carefully marshalled into registering, playing the free play, and presumably depositing, but constantly run into blocks when attempting to do the responsible thing and read terms and conditions.

Maybe CR should be considered for an award for sleazy marketing, as before this we had the imitation "Nigerian scam" style of marketing with the fake "write a check committee" telling players they had won a check for $1000+

You got to be sh#tting me

How the F can you be denied using a player operational option of an MG casino that's part of the casino suite?

Are these people on drugs

Though this reads like that other clause they used in the fine print about limited weekly (month?) jackpot payouts to winners. When if fact they have to pay the full amount in one payment!

Sounds to me that MGS need to scrutinise all of these casinos T&C's.

And here we go again with misleading marketing...I though eCogra sealed casinos are supposed to market truthfully?

IMHO the $1250 free play offer is misleading and ultimately scammy.

It states "play any game with $1250 totally free and whatever you win in your first 60 minutes is yours to keep!"

Bull$hit....

The most you can win is $100 (?) and to receive that you have to drop $40 and then play it through as a bonus.

Why bother...Just drop $40 and collect the sign-up bonus.

BUT they want players to believe that whatever they win from the $1250 in 60 minutes is there's to keep. No mention of deposits or anything...To me it's not only false advertising but predatory in nature.

Cheers

Hmmm,

Had this mail in my inbox today. Glad you people alle cleared it up for me.

When it sounds to good to be true, it IS to good to be true. (the bonus)

It made me suspicious when i clicked on promotions i only can download the install program. Thats not normal. With this kind of tricks i dont even bother go looking further. Found this topic about it here, enough for me. Thanks for the explanation!

I am not going to play there, only like honest casino's with reasonable terms and conditions.

And the counter will be reset if you press the "F5" button in your keyboard.(refresh). ;)

I also find it strange that I get these emails, I'm in the US, and (unless something has changed overnight) MG casinos do not accept new sign ups from the US.

*tsk tsk*
