Brilliant - I really like cars in general and classics in particular, and a couple of those shots show what can be done to make older cars really cool. Looked like a great show!

I use to love going to the car shows in Denver and then in Tulsa. Such cool stuff, old and souped up new! Cute guys to boot! :p JK! The trucks were about my faves. Even the big ones with the fixed up living space behind. I could be a truck driver in a rig like that and never need to go home!

.

Yes, I also really like classic cars both original and customized (modernized).

Couple of more pictures. The first is an original race car from 1946 (I think it was a 46 model). That was my favorite car on the show.

The second is a LARGE Buick (about 1935 or something?)

And the last one is a cool truck for you jod :).

Fantastic - that sportster looks like an Italian...maybe Alfa Romeo or Bugatti? and so beautifully restored, talking of which:

"But now, it seems, you can even order all-new, factory-approved Mustang bodies rather than having to scrounge up rusted and dinged-up originals."

Love Mustangs! On a recent holiday in the States my wife and I hired a big-ass Mustang and drove the highways and byways of some stunning parts of America. It was a joy to drive with tons of power under the hood.

Among my classic sports car faves is the Big Six Austin Healey (in BRG, of course:)) and that 'fifties icon the Chevvy Corvette - both magic designs. And going further back what about the Jaguar SS100 and the Merc SSK?

I was fortunate enough to own a Triumph sports car which had to go when we started having kids...always regretted seeing that beauty drive away....:(

I had a friend who used to restore old cars as a business, and you cannot believe how much work goes into getting those paint jobs absolutely right and deeply glossy - coat after coat of paint, each painstakingly buffed to perfection.

Really cool pics. I loved the 1946 race car, it's beautiful.

I always liked cars, specially classic cars. Right now I'm trying to restore a 1981 TR7, not really a classic and not really a beautiful car but it's my little project. It's been abandoned for 10 years so he has been eaten by mice and it's not in a good condition.
