This just reinforces my decision to have my accounts closed. I got a flyer in the snail mail today for 25 free spins on avalon and figured, "what the hell" I got nothing to lose and Im bored. I install the casino and lo and behold,

Sorry babs, but I think you're being a little too harsh on them.

As with anything that has to do with computers, there's bound to be times that legitimate technical problems do occur.

I've been working with, building and repairing computers, networks, software, etc. for well over 10 years, and nothing ever goes as smooth as it should. A lot of the time, a "simple fix" turns into a 12 hour job. :eek:

Jared's not the one at fault here, he's just the messenger....I remember when I worked as a technical support rep years ago, we weren't told !@#!@. They only told us a time frame, and a vague description of what's going on so that we could pass that to the customers when there was a problem.

Sorry I dont buy it. There is always issues when Im suppose to get something with the exception of one or two. Why should I have to wait 24 hours? I told him to have a good night, I didnt call him any names, I wasnt harsh on him. Its ridiculous, this is the third time I got a flyer and there was a problem. If it was the first time I would be more understanding. what does 25 free spins have to do with anything or any other promotion. I could see if the servers were down and I couldnt make a deposit but everything else works. I can make a deposit and play but cant get my free spins?

Also free spins are differnet to normal play,You have to download them so its not same as deposting and playing normal . So ov they do have an problem with free spins. Hope this helps ? love hushda24 x

Babs, IF you were getting the run around for a few days w/ this Casino in question. I could then, understand your situation. However, I feel that you were a harsh!! Jared, was very nice and explained to you why the spins were not there. Yet, you throw this "im with casinomesiter" line ... like Jared was to jump through hoops then.

Look, I understand there are shady Casinos. However, we must understand that sometimes.. there are glitches. Who knows, maybe this time there really was a glitch?!
 
Not sure what to say, however I see the point if you have stopped playing. You get such an offer and think why not, and then again, you went to the trouble reinstalling the casino just to experience you have to wait another 24 hours for something that should be available when you logon the first time.

I have recieved lots of offer by snailmail with free this free that, and it usually ends with me having used that bonus ages ago and they are always very sorry for my inconvinience... Sure...

Running a casino you are supposed to be up and running before contacting your customers, I am a IT man myself and know how angry my customers get when my systems fail to deliver... So I understand this perfectly.

The problem is that when free stuff is given we usually see theese problems, the casinos should be much better in this department!

But you can get your free spins, and.... best of all...... don't have to deposit at all! That's about the best it ever gets. Free no deposit promotion offered to you, out of the blue, without asking anything of you but to fulfill the wagering terms, and general promotion terms.

It's not uncommon for casinos to tell players to allow up to 48 or 72 hours for bonus crediting for certain promotions and such. In this case, due to the technical error the rep. asked you to allow up to 24 hours. That's not really considered a delay for a no deposit to be credited.

Sometimes even Mcdonalds makes me pull out from the drive through window and park my car and wait for my food to be brought to me, because of a 2 minute delay cooking my fish filet, and a long backed up line of cars behind me. The last thing I want in a fast food drive-thru is to pull into a parking space and wait, after I've paid. That's life though. Sometimes we have to just wait a minute more... to have what was promised.
 
Maybe I sounded a lil harsh to Jared but i did tell him have a nice night lol. I like how kimms put it best. That is very true. I wanted to play at that time. I had it on the bedstand for 2 days thinking "im not gonna get roped back in again" lol. I finally decided to do it and that happened. Its a let down that I didnt expect from an accredited casino.

That being said...I did what kimms suggested and trashed it, re uninstalled it because if I did win, I would of ended up making a deposit anyway and I dont want to

Good for you babs! Also, that bad night don't get any better when you go against your own will, and do the "bad" thing, only to get that in your face.

What I would love to see is statistics on how many people with gambling problems infact cave in in a situation like this and deposit anyway, since they just can't wait until tomorrow.

I know it's a business, and they are there to make money, but when we see companies like Bet365 having internal policies to milk their customers, and at the same time they publically state they are all there for their customers and want fair play and try top help their customers not get into gambling problems, you can't help thinking it's all a sharade and really a calculated policy...

Who knows for sure. But my personal feeling about the Playshare/Grand Mondial group, is that they're one of the more honest MGS casinos, and less devious. I'm an affiliate and a player, and have dealt with them equally as player and affiliate. It's my opinion that they really had a technical problem that day, and wasn't just making it up to milk her.

Who knows though. Anything's possible. Sometimes too much suspicion isn't healthy either though.
 
Well

I just woke up when I posted my last post. I just went to my email and there was an apology letter stating my free spins were in my account now. I responded to them saying "please give Jared my apologies, I had a bad a night"

We all make rash statements when we are mad at times. Everything that could go wrong yesterday did and I think that was the last straw before my blow up and FOrtune Room ended up being the victim. That doesnt mean Im going to deposit because its very easy for me to play the free spins and uninstall BUT....I wanted to admit I was a bit harsh and apologize for starting this thread.

I think we can consider this thread closed, it was resolved, I righted my wrong and thats that:)

I tend to think that as the offer reached you by snail mail, they were unable to set a date as to when the free spins would expire so they werent in your account when you logged in. Normally when I get free credits by snail mail I had to type in a code to have them placed in my account whereas free spin offers are relayed to me via email with an end date. I just had to log in before that date to play the spins. I have never encountered any problems with this.

As long as they continue with these offers, players will always need to wait unless they are given a code to type in at the casino's website. Presently, I doubt whether there is such a function for activation of free spins.

I asked for my account to be closed and all my fortune Lounge Casino accounts to be closed.

I got an email back, valued player,very sorry,what can we do etc.
I replied just close my accounts thanks.

They got back and said they would but I had an outstanding bonus yet to be credited to my account and it would be there in the next Few hours, would I like to cancel my account closure until then.
I of course said ok.

Next Day I log in and guess what no bonus in my account.

I have now written to Fortune Room and asked them to close all my accounts, still waiting for response.:mad:

thats the other thing Rusty, I asked them to close this account weeks ago so to my surprise it was still open. I thought i was going to have to request it be reopened and it was still open. I even got an email saying they closed it. I think thats why I was a lil pissy too!

Anyway, I admitted I was harsh, I apologized so I dont think there is any need to keep telling me I was harsh when I already agreed with everyone and made things right :)

babs, FYI a casino CSR who takes on a chat is often not the one who can fix issues with a promotion, credit an account, etc. There are separate divisions / people who have the authority / administration rights to do that.

So IMO, you were overly harsh in that chat.

i also received the same offer and if i am correct it was with a bouquet of offers as they put it. I was also to be credited with 2500 points to be added to my club account and lo and behold they could not find my account with 90 days worth of credits totalling 71000 points as i had changed my email address, but i did get a pitt boss to credit the 25 spins instantly and won all of 5.25 which is okay as it is for free. To be fair up until this point the casino have been fair with me as i am disabled and am partially deaf so cant even phone and argue (lol) but i beleive the rep from here is going to look at this on my behalf. I didn't really catch the part about you asking for your accounts to be closed initially. I must have missed that part. I thought you just uninstalled the software.

For Babs and Rusty, if you ask for your accounts to be closed, you should expect for them to be closed. Right then and there! There's nothing wrong with them asking why, or what they can do to make things right if you're unhappy with their casino for some reason. But after asking that, and you say you still want them closed. It should be done.

Although mistakes do happen, maybe support was understaffed and got side-tracked before actually closing the accounts. But not closing them is a much bigger issue than anything bonus related IMO.

I've only asked for my accounts to be closed a couple of times in the past (not at these casinos though). I got a little insulted when the representative just said "We're happy to do this for you. Your accounts have been closed as requested. If there's anything else you need please let us know." I expected them to ask me why I wanted them closed, and if they might not be able to change my mind by correcting any issues I had with them. Instead, they were oh so happy to just close them, no questions asked. Hmpf! LOL

The casinos that you've requested to close your accounts and haven't,I'd forward your original request and their response saying they did so, if you got one, to a supervisor at the casinos and ask them why your accounts remained open.

my husband closed 2 microgaming accounts last night after he made a deposit and lost it within minutes. I think it took longer to claim the deposit bonus..ha

he is DONE with microgaming..
