Greetings.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate forum where to post this, but I couldn't find a better one.
I have a quite big problem and I'm worried. I really need your advice on this, please. Read carefully, or skip.

1) So, first of all, my birthday is 12.05.1992. I have just turned 18 years old few days ago and I made my own account on Moneybookers.

2) I decided to make a full verification to my account - so I added my bank account, debit card and sent a request for address verification mail.

3) Also, I wanted to order my own Moneybookers Mastercard, but before I could do this I first had to send them my identification- and address documents.

4) I went to my bank and asked for a Bank Statement that has a date, my name and address on it. So basically, this would be the address proof for Moneybookers. When I got home, I grabbed my digital camera and took a close-up picture of it showing all the 4 edges of the document.

5) Now, that's where the problem comes in. For the last thing I just had to take a picture of my passport or ID card, but before I could go for it I noticed that I have previously scanned in one and had it on my computer. I now realized I have all what Moneybookers require from me and sent the files - a picture of my bank statement and a scan of my passport.

Funny thing, that I didn't recognize the problem before the next day when I opened my mailbox and read their response:

"We appreciate the document you have provided. However, the date of birth from the provided document is different from our records. We hope you understand that Moneybookers Ltd. has a strict security policy aimed at protecting your account privacy. Please accept our apologies for any possible inconvenience and provide us with an short explanation what caused the date of birth mismatch and if this account has been registered on somebody else`s name, provide us with complete details as for your relationship with this person and the reason for submitting incorrect details."

So basically, now I have to choose between two options as a response to Moneybookers, but I'm having a hard time making the decision - Telling the truth or going with a lie.

1) A lie would be:
"Oh, I must have mistyped my date of birth. I'm sorry for that. Could you please fix this for me?"

2) The truth would be:
"Ok, here's the deal. I must have sent you a Photo-shopped version of my passport by mistake. Here's the original one. Be my guest."

1) The lie sure does seem more reasonable decision at first and probably would do the trick, but that's not who I want to be. I want to have a 100% legit account of my own so there wouldn't be any part of me having unwanted stressful thoughts.

2) But don't be confused. Let me explain the second option, please. The reason why I've Photo-shopped my passport is unsure even to myself. It must have been out of boredom and definitely a long time ago. Probably I just did it out of pure curiosity (I changed 1992 to 1991).

I just want you to know that I've been waiting for a really long time to get my own Moneybookers account. And now, when I finally turned 18, I literally fucked up the case in a really mysterious way. I feel bad. I feel really bad.

What are the odds?

My apologies for making a huge post but I wanted to get it all out of me. I'm appreciating you for reading this.

What if I take a picture of the both sides of my ID card, passport and an additional picture of me holding the documents next to my face? I'm even willing to go to police to get my documents verified for Moneybookers. I just don't want to lose my account.

So here comes the big question for you: What the f... should I do?

Oh dear, I feel for you, I do.

Don't lie. Casinos can share information with their payment partners, and you will have to provide correct information if you want to get paid. Sad to say, players from the former USSR are viewed with more suspicion that players from some other countries.

Well, maybe lie a little bit. You could say the photoshopped document was part of a school project on identity theft. Offer to get a notarized copy of your passport if necessary. Include a copy of your ID card as well.

Good luck to you.

Hi there, you've pretty much excluded option #1 (lying) by posting your story on a public forum.

I wouldn't be surprised if personal details like name, address and DOB are shared between MB and merchants for verification purposes.

Go with the truth from now on, and pray that the MB rep looking at your case remembers what its like to be 17 ;)

Hope it all gets sorted for you!

"Oh, I must have mistyped my date of birth. I'm sorry for that. Could you please fix this for me?"
This does happen. I actually transposed my month and day before they started using the printed month in the casino signups. I had to reverify this when my license did not match my info at one casino a long time ago and they were very understanding...as long as you provide them with the real info and own up to the other...they can choose to not allow you but, I believe they will accept your honesty.

Good luck!

.

Thank you for your replies!

I started wondering myself that maybe I should try telling the story to Moneybookers anonymously first - Explaining everything like I did in this thread and asking their honest advice.

By anonymously I mean using a different IP (proxy) and e-mail address.

This idea sounds quite good to me. What's your opinion?

IMHOP you have no choice but going with the truth anyways, so you might as well be up front with them.

Remember you may find yourself with a useless MB account if you lie about your DOB.
If they compare their details with the casino's you'll get caught.
Unless you plan on faking your details with casinos as well.

Please don't go down that road!

Good luck

Hmm I wonder if this is the same 3cstasy who has been posting on the bonus forums since november 2009?

A suspicious person would think in fact it mght be, and that he was using a faked ID last year to play in some casinos and forgot to rescan it when he was finnaly legal.

Fortunately I am not a suspicious person and completely believe his much mroe plausible story about "must have changed the date back one year out of boredom some time"

:lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup:

Yeah, not plausible, this ridiculous story about changing your dob whilst you were bored.

You need to think up a better lie

Moneybookers have probably already figured that the difference of 1 year is down to a 17 year old wanting to pass for 18. The problem is that if this false detail has been used online in order to access 18 rated services (gambling) by a 17 year old, merely correcting ONE instance of this will only ensure that discrepancies will crop up if the right checks are made in the future. The end result is likely to be refusal of payment of winnings by casinos, or Moneybookers freezing the account.

If the truth is told, Moneybookers will probably reject the account, but at least no money will have been lost.

The best option would be to forget about Moneybookers, delete the photoshopped passport (so it doesn't get used again), and open an account with the PROPER details at another provider, such as Neteller or Click2Pay. Even this might cause problems unless note is taken of casino GROUPS that have been sent the photoshopped passport, and no play is EVER made there again.

I find it hard to believe that a photoshopped passport wasn't spotted before, so maybe this was never used at online casinos, who are VERY wary of this kind of thing, and WOULD easily spot an image that had been tampered with.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got away with it quite easily, photoshopping can look amazingly good. Also many casinos don't need a particularly high resolution scan.

To the original poster - I would probably forget about Moneybookers and use Neteller or something else instead.

Hey guys.

Just wanted to let you know that moneybookers locked my account and I finally decided to lie to them because I didn't see any good reason why would they unlock my account if I tell the truth. I would have seemed very suspicious person to them and they'd have realized what I'm capable of (faking documents in that case).

Most of you if not all of you advised me to tell the truth or pick a different site such as Click2Pay or Neteller or Paypal.. but for my personal reasons I need to have a Moneybookers account. Definitely. So in my opinion, I picked a risk-free way and told them I mistyped at registering.

Results? - At this point, now, my Moneybookers account is fully verified and the Mastercard is on its way. However, I appreciate you all for replying to my thread as I didn't hope to really get a reasonable answers to my problem.

But I'm very happy I finally got my own Moneybookers account that I've been waiting for.

And for the last thing. I really didn't try to make myself an adult. At least not now, in this year, when I was making a Moneybookers account for myself. At this point I had turned 18 years old already.

If anyone has questions, I'd be glad to answer. But for now this case should be closed I think. With a happy ending.

Yes, that should be me you're talking about. The forum is www.beatingbonuses.com. However, I have not used the phothsopped passport anywhere before that Moneybookers thing now. I have not lied in this forum, at least yet.. and that's a fact. So make your own conclusions. :)

You used the fake passport to play in casinos because you was 17, so you have lied here.......

Is it what you think, or is it what you know?
It's just that.. I personally KNOW what I'm talking about.
If something seems obvious for you, it doesn't always need to reflect the reality, does it?

After all, I'm not that person who tends to lie about little things like that. In which possible way on earth would a lie like this help me?

If I lie, I make it big and simple.

I believe I have made my point.

It's just that.. I personally KNOW I haven't used the passport in any kind of casinos.

I would very much want to hear your explanation.

Its what i know :)

In the other forum where you have also an account you wrote on 19th November 2009 :

"for example and which is true, I and lot of my friends and other people I know have played in 888.com Casino-On-Net and they haven't asked for the ID.

this is the kind of reply I was hoping to get about these 5 casinos, but I appreciate your comments. thank you. "

So you gave gambled before 19th November 2009 :)

You were lucky because 888 made no security checks , but im sure you have used your fake ID for other Casinos .

When was your 18th birthday ?????

Oh i remeber it was may 12th 2010......:D

Got you !

Its no big deal at all , but i would appreciate it if you be honest here and tell the truth.

If you would, then you better start doing it now :D

And for the 888 thing, I know plenty of more casino's who doesn't ask for your documents. For some of them, few criterias needs to be met before.

But I'm not going to share this information with you as it's truly irrelevant ;)

I didn't say I haven't played in any casino when I was under age. In fact I've started playing poker online when I was 13 or 14 years of age.
I didn't say lots of things. I didn't come here to tell you the story of my life. But what I DID say was "I haven't used my photoshopped passport anywhere except of Moneybookers"

I believe I've made my point again. Also, I appreciate you for being interested in me.

I wish I could prove myself with a help of a lie detector to you.

Kid, you chose the path you chose with Moneybookers, to pile a lie upon a lie.

If you have cash, move it if you can. You have to verify your bank info to get a wire transer. Did you lie to your bank too?

Request a cheque, pay a premium to get it cashed somewhere else.

Or just figure all your moneybooker's funds as a play account and play it elsewhere.

But don't count on getting paid necessarily. Especially if you have a big win.

If you are not prepared to give up gambling, I suggest you attend land-based with your real passport in hand.

My moneybookers account is fully verified. That means they have approved my ID and Address document(s). My bank, my credit/debit card, my address is also verified.

Everything's gonna be just fine. No worries anymore.

the TRUTH will set you free
and its a money at stake..
If your not hiding something then let the truth prevailed

Hi.
My moneybooker's account is closed, they are asking documents from me such as passport/national id card/driver's license and utility payments copies'. I can provide such documents to them but there's one small problem, the living place address I have in my passport doesn't match with the address I have in my account, I tried to change it but as my account is closed I was not able to. Is it fine to tell moneybookers that I have wrong address in my account and ask them to update it or they will finally close my account and I'll have problems ? Can I expect their support team to update my address as I will have shown it?

You will need documents to prove that you have moved since registering your old address with Moneybookers. The first thing they will think when they get your documents is that you gave a false address when you registered. The next thing they will consider is whether their customer still lives at the old address, but that you have tried to use fake ID documents in order to take over this Moneybookers account, and have the details updated to your address.

If they believe either is true, and you can't prove otherwise, your account will remain closed.

2) I decided to make a full verification to my account - so I added my bank account, debit card and sent a request for address verification mail.

Sending personal doc's by mail, doesn't that concern you? There's another thread where a Players account has been hacked at MB.

They send you some documents by mail, not the other way around. Its a pin code you have to enter to their website. If you are talking about verification documents, these are sent by email or trough moneybookers website.
