MG 'new' releases - Bikini Party and Generic Themed Asian Slot

So yet again. A clone of a clone, that's been cloned from a clone, that was a clone of a slot released many, many years ago (burning desire).

As the reels were spinning, as yet another x4 win rolled in (10's or 9's, seemingly the only win on the paytable, the other symbols act as blanks), I thought 'why the fuck are you even bothering?'.

What in the name of Zeus' balls are Microgaming doing? All the success, staff, money and (diminishing) respect in the industry and they churn out this dreck month after month. Would it be too much to release a couple of original games per month?

I can only image the 100% MG casinos getting annoyed with this sub-par dogshite. All their customers must be flocking to the more innovative platforms. Care to wade in Mark32Red? :p

Dionysus, I appreciate your liking the 8 year old original slot, but that isn't the point!

I thought the point was we could just chime in. I didn't realize I had to address yours.
But ok.

So what if it's a clone? If it's a popular slot a new skin can make it feel fresh without altering the elements people fell in love with.
If you think clones don't sell or aren't popular with the masses, simply search:
Agent Jane Blond
Spring Break
Thunderstruck
Ladies Nite Out

There's new and innovative slots. There's clones. There's sequels. There's more than one market companies have to pander to.
If it's not to your liking, no biggie. There's other new releases; it's just one more in the list.

Maybe I phrased that badly, your point is, of course, valid to the thread.

Inbetween my sarcasm, I'm trying to gauge why Migrogaming are just sitting on their hands and letting the market slip. They were the heavyweight champ once, now a paunchy has-been 20 fights past their prime.

It seems daft they aren't making a huge push.

Ya, granted, and like this year's CM award, others are pulling ahead ie NetEnt.
But to me, clones do make sense. Some slots simply look dated, but the elements are quite fine. I'd play the new clone because I like the old Burning Desire.
I'm hoping JP II will be pretty snazzy. I DO hope MG introduces some more innovative ideas. For us Canuckleheads can't play WMS and IGT, we've less options.

One innovation that sprang up, I'm not a terrible fan of were the 3D series..all glitter, little substance.

Total agreement OP

MG have much more competition than 10 years ago so you would think that 'extra effort' would be their sales drive, it in fact seems to be the total opposite!

Way too many clones, then a great slot comes along (EG: Terminator 2) what do they then do, clone the fucker (Happy Holidays)

Jurassic Park a great stand alone game, then what do I read yesterday, yes you got it MG's 'Jurassic World' is on its way (bet that licence cost a fortune)

I have mentioned this in similar threads before now, if they run out of ideas, simply ask the players, or employ a new game developer(s)!

They even resorted to copying Netent (which used to be the other way around) a prime example being the utterly crap 'Rabbit in the Hat' (Egg O Matic clone but awful in comparison)

They do however remain my most enjoyable provider and my most played slots and knowing that I am not alone on this one feel that MG may base their thought process partially along this fact that players like and trust their slots, clones or otherwise.

Well, this could be quite good - at least, I'm rather hoping it is. Entirely new is fine, but I'd bet people would champ at the bit for an Immortal Romance follow up

I agree with first post Microgamming sucks big time lately...they are not creative. I don't find them fresh one bit. Yes once in while they come out with a great slot but I in between those release what are they doing and how the hell these clones get the go ahead....one thing for sure there not listing to us or even care too. Theses 2 ew slots are tasteless trash

Indeed!

Regarding JW, I already have the game designed in my head and how I want it to work, the dinosaurs missing from JP etc etc.

Lol, I imagined the big plastic sphere with the kids rolling along the bottom of the screen and stampeding dinos flipping symbols into wilds.
But alas, more likely, like the pteros eating all the park civilians, it just eats my bankroll. :p

To be honest. there is only so much you can do with slot games. You can't really innovate anymore given the pretty rigid framework. Even 3-D slots would end up being 'meh' after a while.

Plus I think people do enjoy the familiarity and simplicity of slots, even simple re-skins. Thematically, everyone has their preferences.....I love(d) Pandora's Box and Trolls but can't stand Excalibur. If Georgie Porgie was re-themed I'd enjoy that too.

I like having the option of which colourful moneypit I'd like to piss my money into

Wonder if we will ever see a

teenage mutant ninja turtles, turtles in a half shell, turtle power.

slot

Nickelodeon (kid-friendly fare) owns all the rights. I'm going to guess 'never gonna happen'.

15 X 3 on free spins is a pretty standard feature a lot off slots have that and the pay-table is different to Burning Desire and it is good FS can be re-triggered.

I like 243 anyway slots, if it was thrown in with a couple off other new releases that had some originality it would pass.

BTW Jurassic World movie was a load off crap, I got it at Wuaki for 99 pence HD rental for 48 hours and the definition was crap and the picture cracked up threw it.

Had the new Mad Max at Wuaki for 99 pence and the picture was almost perfect, I normally buy Blurays but can't knock back a any HD movie for 99 pence deal.

bikini.webp

Best I've managed and that was at 0.75 with two retriggers....

Good enough of an excuse to go back to DoA:p

meh why do they waste there time cloning the same old crap when they could make a immortal romance 2 the first one was one of there most popular titles are they trying to sink there brand.i reckon 80% of the games in the last 2 years have been clones. 5 years down the line theres 28 clones of break away.

160x bet what a disgrace. 400x is ok for a med variance but 160x. wtf where they thinking its like there becoming IGT years of great game then at one point 160x max wins.

Had my first go on it earlier, went on the game with £10, £1 spins, hit the free spins early, 450x total win, one hit paid 300x so there was still a few other good wins in there, fucking lost it on another slot though of course

Has anyone found if you have 2 scatters and then re-spin in the 3rd scatter the freespins pay out bad?
I have found if 3 scatters drop in naturally it pays better in the free spin round.

Don't know why you posted the same response in 2 threads. Id think one would suffice seeing as theyre just back to back on the board anyway

So I noticed there is a little discrepancy between various casino sites on the RTP of these two slots. Some sites have the RTP at around 96% whilst others have it at 98%. I was reading some old threads about microgaming that seemed to suggest microgaming slot RTPs cannot be altered and are consistent between sites. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the discrepancy?

I wouldn't think 98 is the correct one.
Do you have an example?

Sure, is it okay to link the actual sites? Sorry I'm new here. In any case I've noticed the 98% RTP published on videoslots. If you go to game payout, select theoretical, and then search for dragon dance, it comes up with 98%. Also casinocruise as well. If you go to terms and conditions and the bottom of the homepage and press it a box will come up, from there you can select game RTPs and see the list there. For the ~96% RTP, I saw it on WH macau for dragon dance, I believe.

I was lucky on the dragon dance version, on videoslots when it first came out, was buying the 3 scatters by respinning cheapest reel for the 3 scatters, seemed to be going ok so increased base bet to $1.50, got a retrigger & hit 5 dragon symbols (2 wild) @ x3. Paid $720 I think, can't complain at that but I think its the jackpot of the game, so not alot of potential. pic only shows 4 dragons I hit toward the end of free spins, but you can see total at top.

I think it is because the RTP reported is the real one and millions of spins away from the TRTP.

Well with videoslots they actually publish actual RTPs as well as theoretical, so currently the actual rtp for dragon dance and bikini party are running at 98.9% and 97.9% respectively, whilst both have published TRTPS of 98% on the site.
