Apologies for the incredibly basic question here, but what's the RTP of MG's Mega Moolah slots?

Everywhere seems to list it as 89% (including Videoslots) but I've got it in my head from previous discussions about this that 89% is the base game RTP, and you're chucking an extra 5% or so into the various progressive pots, to bring the total T-RTP to something like 94% or 95%.

(Similar to how Jackpot Party used to run at 92% + 3% to the progressives.)

The reason I'm asking is we're looking to put together a work Slot Syndicate, since it can't possibly do any worse than our Lottery Syndicate. (My pitch is why play random games with big cash prizes at a 50% RTP, when you can play random games with big cash prizes at a 95% RTP.)

However, I want to make sure I get my numbers right when I'm explaining what the RTP of Mega Moolah is versus the lottery.

I've had a search of the forums and a Google, and I just keep coming back with 89% which seems wrong to me as MG just don't run their slots at that RTP as far as I'm aware.

If it comes together it should be pretty cool as I'll be doing a video for the syndicate each week so all members can see how the session goes, which of course will be going on my channel as well.

Cheers :)

FWIW the Mega Moolah jackpot is attached to 5 different slots including TDK. TDK's base game runs at 88.12% RTP and with the jackpot attached it runs at 96.43%. So the Mega Moolah jackpots cost 8.31% RTP on TDK. I'd assume it's the same with the Mega Moolah slot?

been on holidays have ya? :D
aint been TDK in a dog's age

It's surprisingly difficult to get an actual RTP figure for Mega Moolah, I might just ask Daniel from Videoslots and hope he has more information. (They list it as 89% RTP, which is potentially doing a disservice.)

As Balthazar notes above, it was always 'base game + progressive contribution' as I recall, but good luck on finding the actual numbers anywhere!

Choppers.....this might be of interest to you.

What you will notice is that there are no RTP figures for MM Summertime and MM 5 Reel Drive. But it does more or less back up what Balthazar stated in post #2.
The only thing I would query in his post is that the RTP figure of 96.43% that he mentioned was actually for The Dark Knight Rises, not The Dark Knight.

Also, the contribution to the progressive would appear to be higher (8.8%), which would make MM 96.92% and MM Isis 96.8%.
I'm inclined to think (but can't be 100% sure) that TDK's RTP was in line with one of those two figures.

Balthazar...TDK was pulled by MG in late June 2016, almost 4 years to the day after it replaced the LOTR progressive. The Dark Knight Rises was also pulled.

Edit...didn't realise Paul had already posted until after I had posted mine

Thanks everyone that's really useful :) (I've never seen that 32Red list before, quite interesting reading!)

So by all accounts I can describe the Mega Moolah slots as 96% RTP, versus 50% RTP on the lottery - quite compelling numbers.

Thanks again for the information, I'm very much out of the loop and was having trouble finding the numbers myself :)

That reminds of our work lottery syndicate. I was going through a very good run on DOA (5k profit over a period of 3 weeks) a few years ago. Lottery syndicate was it usual shite with no wins. So we decided to invest the £300 accumulated winnings over 2 years (it was that bad!) on a DOA session that I was going to play.

Needless to say, it went tits up and that was the last time I was going to play with other peoples money!

Isn't syndicate play usually a breach of terms at most casinos?

How would they know? And why would they care?
That means if I understand the word syndicate play properly. :)

It would mean for example that I receive 50 Euro's from 9 collegue's and add 50 myself and deposit the 500 Euro to play at a certain casino hoping for a big win.
Then cash out and split even between the 10 of us?

In that case, I would not see a problem. ^^

Yes that's basically all we're intending to do, it's not going to be some high-rolling casino-destroying enterprise, it's literally just going to be a group of friends all chucking £10 into the pot once a month (we reckon we'll get maybe 10-15 of us signed up), I'll deposit the funds into a casino and play out an agreed number of spins on Mega Moolah, video it for the group for a bit of fun, and if we actually win something big, we'll share the prize.

I guess I should probably check it out with the casino in question first, as they'll use any excuse to withhold a prize, I'm sure..... :eek2:

It's just the same concept as your average work lottery syndicate or something like that.

Surely from the casino's point of view it's simply a player depositing an amount of money and playing spins on a slot?

Plays like it too, wild reels are close to non existant, and one mini pot for a loss of £300.
Think we will be seeing a lot more jackpot games with shitty rtp,s, half of Tigers have unwinnable jackpots.
They must work on the assumption that most players see the big jackpots and dont check or understand the rtp settings

Considering that the "remastered" IR on factory RTP can be quite feral compared to the original, I cannot begin to imagine the horrors of this version. My theory is that they increased the RTP of the bonuses and decreased the RTP of the base game, as it no longer seems to be able to hold a balance as of old.

Still, I only play offshore from the UK now (to escape the UKGC). While I'm comfortable withdrawing a grand or so to Litecoin, I'd be less confident about receiving a cheque from Microgaming. So, no progressives for me, but 1000 auto spins, feature buys, turbo play and no stupid SOW/document checks more than make up for that.

Chop but what about the national lottery charity donations, supporting their good causes :p actually i don't know how or whether they do with the euro millions. MM seems to bonus frequently for that kind of rtp, so it could work out not too expensive, I wonder how the odds compare for the jackpot.

The only probs could be a syndicate clause or a maltese style sow if you are going the electronic pot building route

Edit  i just realised the dates, did you do this lotto alternative then Chop?

Yeah we did quite a few of them, we managed to get fifteen people involved who all put a tenner in so we had £150 per session which I played at £1.50 per spin with increases of stake if our balance went past certain thresholds, I videoed and narrated the sessions and then sent out the link to all syndicate members (videos are private so not viewable on my channel).

We hit the MM wheel a fair few times and got the MINI every time except for a single MINOR. Best result was getting the balance up to over £300 which we collectively agreed to have a punt at DOA2 with on £3 spins, which proceeded to absolutely shred the lot :D

Haven't done one for a while now and with the widespread gimping of the MM RTP I can't in good conscience recommend to the syndicate members that we bring it out of retirement.
