Now I'm really confused. You can play Mega Moolah at many other casinos and still have the same chance to win this jackpot sum, what do you mean by "this jackpot offer is only at LeoVegas?"

I would understand if you had a special campaign involving Mega Moolah, say, a deposit bonus or free spins, but I actually have no idea what you're trying to convey here.

I suspected you were great at marketing but maybe not a player.
I guess I was correct:p

There are more threads about this Jackpot and if you had seen that I guess this thread would have been pointless even for you.

I deposited at Leo Vegas last night, at around 1 am. in order to have a try for the jackpot. But neither mega moolah or The dark knight would load, and Live chat wasn't available. So I ended up blowing the deposit on DOA :(

Hi brianmon.

The game provider for Mega Moolah and The Dark Knight was down for maintenance for a few hours earlier today and games were unavailable. During this time we did have an extremely high volume of chat contacts, I'd say this is why you could not get through at that time.

We do apologise for any inconvenience.

why can't casinos have a message on their lobby page, to tell customers things like this? It can't be too difficult to do.

Although they'd probably rather let CS take the heat, than maybe put someone off depositing

Thank you for the reply. That is a question I have asked a couple of times myself. The response I was given from our tech support is that it is extremely difficult in some cases and quite simple for some. In the case of issue with a game we are unable to post a message, this is up to the game provider. We certainly display a message on our site when we can.

I am always available via private message also of you have any other questions.

Sounds daft but I wouldn't want to win that much! - Quite controlled as a rule but with that sort of cash who knows what would happen!

Just enough to be able to 'look after' those who have 'looked after' me in my 'needy' times, oh and enough to never have to work again!

I too would probably never play online again as no amount of stacked wilds or multipliers or re-triggers would ever get close to that sort of buzz!

Defo with you on the Vegas thing tho, something I've always wanted to do, again with a 'Special Bank Card' that would only allow me access to a set amount per day while I was there :eek:

I'd also have to overcome my 'Flying Fear' as there are lots of places I'd love to visit with 'Cash to Splash'

I can confirm (having spoken to Microgaming today) that this was hit in GBP (pounds sterling) and not dollars as was reported at Casinolistings.

Not sure it is the highest ever online jackpot - didn't NetEnt's Mega Fortune deliver a Euro 17 million-plus jackpot?

Also a bit fearful of flying - especially long distance, short distances I can handle.. Just.. I have to as I do it multiple times a year :eek2:

I know he had a cheeky plan rushing in to get this posted just in time haha.....Unless he throws in some free spins for us meisters with no wager then maybe and only then maybe he can have it :p

Mega Moolah progressive slot breaks world record with GBP 13.2 million strike by Betway player.

Microgaming has confirmed reports earlier this week that a world record online progressive jackpot has been hit at one of its licensees, advising that a UK player at the Betway online casino is now an instant multi-millionaire.

The big hit took place on the Mega Moolah progressive slot just after midnight on October 7, when UK player Jonathon Heywood hit the mega jackpot, winning GBP 13,213,838.68.

Using the exchange rate on the day of the win, this is the equivalent of Euro 17,879,645.12, making it the largest ever online slot win. As with all Microgaming’s progressive jackpot wins, the jackpot will be paid out to the player in a lump sum.

Jonathon, a 26-year-old soldier from Cheshire, couldn’t believe his luck when the life-changing figure splashed up on his screen, but he still managed to make it in to work just hours later Microgaming reports.

“It’s all so surreal, and I can’t come to terms with it just yet, I just kept staring at my screen and seeing this huge number in my Betway account” the fortunate warrior said.

Betway’s spokesman, Alan Alger, added: “We are delighted for Jonathon and having met him the day after his win we can honestly say that it couldn’t happen to a nicer young man. We hope he really enjoys the World Record win”.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, commented: “We have the longest-standing progressive jackpot network, having launched the first internet progressive jackpot in 1998, as well as the biggest, having paid out over half a billion Euros to date.

"Our progressive jackpot network has set many records since its inception, but I’m absolutely overjoyed to say that our software has generated the world’s largest ever online jackpot win. Many congratulations to Jonathon on this life-changing and historic win!”

The massive win eclipses even the Euro 17,861,813 previous record achieved on NetEnt's Mega Fortune progressive in 2013 (see previous InfoPowa reports).

Hit on a low bet to someone that are young and that seems to value money in the right way.

Neither can I!! I'm feeling a bit mugged off playing £5 and £6.25 a spin thinking I stood a better chance!!!

Good on him and a nice story.

To hit the jackpot on a minimum bet wow!, the odds must be billions to 1 of that happening!

It just shows though high rolling might give you more chances on the wheel but anybody on that wheel, no matter the stake can win huge. This will certainly bring a lot more players into the casinos that's for sure.

Although I bet there a few players out there pig sick having spent thousands if not tens of thousands at max bets trying to hit this.

What is strange though that the jackpot was hit at a value just above the highest jackpot win to date, which was back in 2013 on Netent's Mega Millions and in turn at the time had taken over from Microgaming the 1st spot for highest online JP wins.

Makes you wonder if Microgaming did let the Jackpot go that high on purpose to regain that top spot!!!

The rest didn't follow the quote but....

I don't believe they are controlling when it will go off, but I understand that many are.

Now if they could then what would it change?
Would you stop playing it then? Would you try to pay one who works at MG to get inside information of when?
Would you wait with playing until it reached a certain amount? I'm curious :)
