Got a promo from them today on Blackjack, however I wonder about the accual win here. It states:

Make a minimum deposit of $50 and play six-deck Blackjack for Real Money anytime from 00:01 (GMT) to 23:59 (GMT) today, Friday, January 4, 2008.

The top 21 six-deck Blackjack players in terms of wagering during these hours will each get back 21% of ALL WAGERS - win or lose!

So, say I make a 100 hands of $25, this makes $2500. Does this promo mean I get $2500 * 0.21 = $525 in bonus?

Or, does it simply mean, if I started with a $100, I get $21?

Low rollers playing @ $1-5 a hand have absolutely NO CHANCE of winning any money! The top 21 finishers are going to be the ones playing $100+ a hand.

But back to the question at hand:

The way it's worded, they could lose a ton of money. Say the top finisher ends up wagering $100,000...that would mean $21,000 in my eyes.

In other words, look out for future PAB's when this "contest" is over.

Interesting, found some terms here.

Members will receive their bonus within 72 hours of the promotion end..
This bonus is a play only bonus. You can use it to play any Download Casino or Instant Play games and any winnings you make are yours to keep. Please note that when you transfer your winnings your bonus will be removed from your account.
General Terms and Conditions apply.

So say you wager $100.000 you get $21.000 to play for, if you for some reason withdraw a $1 you loose all the money. So what you do is wager all the $21.000 in say $100 hands in BJ and you should typically end with $21.000 again which you then may cash out if I understand this correctly.

This is a new kind of bonus it seems, you must wager it - and wager it all before withdrawing or you loose it all!

Say someone manages to wager $1,000,000...So they're going to get a $210,000 bonus? Yea right. They stand to lose a small fortune, especially when you multiply it x 21 players.

I think someone screwed up here, and BIG.

No

kimss said:

Interesting, found some terms here.

So say you wager $100.000 you get $21.000 to play for, if you for some reason withdraw a $1 you loose all the money. The EV of such bonus without a wr is around 50% of the bonus, but if you increase your "target" (i.e. the amount you would like to reach for withdrawal), it can get as high as the full bonus amount as you have nothing to lose, but a lot to win. It means whatever you have above 21.000, you can withdraw it, but they would deduct the 21.000 from your cashout. You would obviously go for big bets, and withdraw when you have reached your target or busted.

Mansion suck since they went Playtech, what was wrong with their in_house software?
