Leovegas potential issue advice

Hi folks,

Ive deposited a couple of times this weekend, and made a nice little amount to withdraw today, but seems I'm possibly going to have the same problem I had with Rizk a little while back where they required i.d I couldn't give them. Spoke to live chat and they spoke to someone else, and it seems they are quite adamant that they require the things I dont have. (telling me to go out and get a drivers license didn't help my mood either!)

So.. I maybe getting ahead of myself, but just gearing myself up for potential messing around to get this sorted! :D So.. I believe there is a Leovegas rep on the forum but i can't recall who it is or if they are regular here. Could someone give me a link or such? (unless the rep themselves see's this then great!)

More on LeoVegas Casino here.

Never had a single problem at other casino's that are willing to accept other forms of photo/i.d methods... just not passport, drivers license or national i.d. (i dont have the first 2 and national i.ds were scrapped years ago).

Even Rizk, when i had these problems with them, accepted other forms of i.d other than these eventually. There are many things you can use, if they all tie together with your image, personal details (birth certificate, banking details, address etc),
it doesnt need to be limited to drivers licence (or passport). I have no intention of driving because of health issues that dont allow me to drive, and I dont need a passport either. The only i.d cards available are for young people to show their age.
And I'm not messing around getting one of those when its never been an issue elsewhere. :)

We'd had this issue before. Some countries, like the UK, don't require picture IDs (in Germany it's a 5000 Euro fine). There are ways that the UK licensed casinos handle this. The rep is here - https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/jamesleovegas.39747/ - I'll ping him to see if he can check. But it's Sunday, and it's a good chance he's chilling for the day.

Cheers for the reply Casinomeister.. :)

I'm still awaiting a response from their support email, but because their live chat was quite adamant that picture i.d was required, after they also checked with someone else, Im expecting the reply to be of the same nature, though
I may be surprised! Ive uploaded everything I have through their verification system and have updated my email to them to say ive done so.. so ill see what happens and if you get a reply - otherwise I'll see if i can give him a
message maybe tomorrow.

thanks again!

As far as I know, if a country does not require you to have a picture ID, the casino can't demand one. I am sure this has been dealt with before. We should wait for the rep to chime in - unless anyone else remembers.

There is another thread somewhere that dealt with this...

Yeah. as i say, I dont have a drivers license and due to health stuff, i wouldn't have one anyway and I've never had a passport . National i.d cards haven't been around for some time now either. Ive never had a problem at
any other casino - always accepted either a photo of me, or me holding my birth certificate or something, or pics of my online banking and bank statements etc.

I did actually have a similar problem with Rizk recently not budging on wanting the photo i.d but after getting the Captains help in here it was sorted very quickly. Hopefully its just sorted with no problem, but Im expecting a problem based on what the live chat said to me! Shall wait to see what the rep can do or has to say.

Irrespective of the wrongs or rights in this case, that is why I always verify my account before I start playing. Saves all the headaches when it gets to withdrawal time.

I've done that in a couple of cases in the past but often only when I eventually withdraw.

In leovegas case, I had actually withdrawn once before using PayPal to deposit and withdraw. But apparently because I've deposited and wish to withdraw to a different method this time, I need verifying.

Ok another update.

They wont accept anything I have uploaded (all my usual items used until just before Christmas). Apparently my proof of address is 'out of date' - ie, outside the 3 months required. This is incorrect and I have replied
asking them to re-look at it again, as it is dated 30th November 2017. (to me and my maths, this means it is within date until the end of February). Ive no idea what they are or aren't looking at with that one.

They also say they still need required i.d , and what i submitted wasn't valid, and I should get a citizen card or validate uk card! - my understanding is these are for younger people mostly, and arent a
requirement in the UK anyway. Im certainly not going out of my way to pay or purchase one of these when they aren't a requirement - I dont care what they say in live chat or by email. They suggested they could
accept my birth certificate if I sent in an expired i.d document.. i never had any of them in the first place so I can't send an expired one in either! :D

One more update..

I just logged into my account in Leovegas, and noticed my balance page was empty.. (no withdrawal pending).. so checked my verification page, and it still says awaiting verification.. hmm ok. checked
my bank account and ive received my winnings!

I am assuming my last email stating my proof of address was perfectly fine, and that a photo of me and my i.d (birth certificate) should be acceptable also, did the trick. I guess? I'm a bit confused, but
am glad that it would seem they saw sense or something (and also saw they hadn't checked my uploaded docs properly!).

Hopefully that means my account will be verified now (as why else would money have been sent - and now ive got a mail saying my withdrawal was processed).

Thanks for all the replies anyhow folks!

Yeah me too! I quite like Leovegas & glad it was sorted in the end. No further emails from them though and my account verification still says pending - but it must have been sorted for me to
have received my withdrawal. :)

Hopefully didn't scare anyone there with my photo/birth certificate anyway :D

You're verified for good now or else you'd not have received even that payment. You're out of the woods

It's good You got your winnings...

Just to play devils advocate though... the terms and conditions would state what you would need to verify your account and you would therefore know before you signed up. So to say the casino is wrong is unfair... you knew the rules and you chose to risk it.

Now whether what the casino is asking for is fair is another issue... but you can't complain when they follow their own rules which you could quite easily have read.

Just trying to add balance here...

I wish you'd quote the right person Trancemonkey. You're always doing this :p

Pretty sure I never said they were wrong or that any of it was unfair or otherwise. Though I guess that depends how you view my posts. I understand you adding balance and another perspective though :)

My issue (and I think I was pretty clear here about it), was that they were (initially at least) refusing all the required docs that I sent in. I sent in proof of address that was perfectly fine - they refused
it saying it was out of date (which it wasn't). They insisted on the specific photo id's they asked for - that's fair enough. But when you don't have those forms of id then all I asked was that they accept/consider the other
forms of i.d I have (and which I sent in) - which included a photo i.d of me myself holding the other (accepted) information - I was told they still required i.d - so I further questioned this as I wasn't refusing all their
required i.d - just an alternate to the photo id's required. I have actually looked into the i.d cards (citizen/validate) , I just don't see them as a viable and easy option to obtain - maybe useful if your young and need to
verify your age. But apart from possibly being useful for casino stuff - I'd get no other use out of them. Im not allowed to drive, and Im not a traveller (maybe in relation to health stuff) - and well, national i.d cards
don't exist now.

I have always given to casino's all required i.d - sometimes before playing, more often after withdrawing. I know what is usually required of casino's and yes I often read beforehand what they want. I think it is fair what
they are asking for - I just request an alternate to one of those pieces of i.d. This would have been the first of many if they hadn't, but thankfully they have and I am greatful. :)

you withdrew today and got the money in your bank same day? What method did you use, thats very fast!

I used Trustly bank transfer. Soon as they have sorted a payment , it appears in your bank a few minutes later. (used it on a couple of other sites too - seems pretty reliable). I think it can only be
used in certain combinations of deposit.. like, you deposit with paypal you withdraw usually with paypal.. card to card etc.. i deposited today with a paysafe voucher (thought id give them a go
recently after I found that withdrawals can be really quick if you manage to make a withdrawal , as it has to go through trustly i think)

I I'm having the exactly the same problem and said that to me in email buy a citizen UK card I've telt them I don't have a driver's license are passport I've sent a selfie birth certificate what they wanted bank statement proof of address pic of bank card n still saying I need a photo I'd

The card they are asking for is useless as it isn't government issued and anyone can get one. Send James a PM with a link to this thread and see if he might comment.

Try James as colinsunderland says (and casinomeister previously to me)..

I'm not sure if it would work for you, but as i said earlier for me - I emailed them back and asked if they could check over required photo i.d stuff to see if a selfie with birth certificate would suffice as they
already had that. I haven't had any response, but my withdrawal was cleared and payment received. Failing that, as said try messaging James. (link to his profile is earlier in the post) :) Good luck!

My verification page is still saying pending, so im not sure whats up with that - but i must be verified because payment was made!

Well, it got a little interesting since last night.

I checked my account this morning and it still says it is in the process of being verified.. and I received a further email from Leovegas support, thanking me for my email
but insisting that they require one of the i.d cards for the uk, and that I use the included links to 'gain one'. Hmm well I'm not sure if they noticed but someone has
already processed my withdrawal.. so..

Am i verified? Has someone accidentally sorted my withdrawal? Were they happy with what I sent in, but the verification hasnt been set on my account yet and support
is still just replying to my emails insisting on this photo i.d ?

If it hasn't been verified and they insist on requiring one of those photo i.d's, then fair enough that's their rules and ill accept it - but kindly thank the person that processed
my withdrawal.

Be interesting to find out, I may also ask James for his input when he visits the forum.
