as reported on this thread i had some trouble with the software at this group

https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/mg-downloading-installation-help.9257/

anyway a couple of days ago i gave up and asked if they could remove my bonus so i could withdraw my money.

ive just logged in and like any weak willed person i started playing and guess what ? casino works absolutly fine now.

all i can say Hmmm

from what i can see the problems seems to be with the games downloading in the background, i think the software applies to much of your sysytems resources, sparing little for your gameplay so it runs slowly. obvious solution to this is dont play till all the games are downloaded, however because its using up so much of your resources you cant do anything else with your PC because it has basically ground to halt.

i noticed the same phenomen recently with BR, however as it was only downloading 4 new games, it was quickly over, however when your downloading a new casino for the first time, to have to wait till every single game is downloaded is ridiculous.

how have i come to this conclusion, because when i just went and played on jupiter club, the casino was no longer downloading games in the background while i was gambling. so we could say that a switch at their end had been flicked.

is this ethical for a casino to this ? i.e. if you have cliamed a bonus, the casino froces a full download on you and renders your system unusable till it has done so, but when you dont have a bonus they dont do this ?

I don't think this is an ethics problem. At least, ethics shouldn't really be the issue.

The issue should be "Why not allow players to determine what is and what isn't downloaded to their computer?"

For example, I don't play Keno. Why should I download this module if I know I'm not going to use it?

This issue has already been brought up with Microgaming some months ago. What is being done about it remains to be seen, however - I will check on this next chance I get.

the thing is aswell spearmaster is that as this case shows, casinos are able to choose how much of your computers resources are allocated to downloading the games in the background. for example on the other MGs while the games are downloading in the background the games are very much playable and once the games are all dowwloaded then play is even better.

however with jupiterclub they have it on the maximun, thus your PC and casino download are both unusable till you have accepted all of the games, although they take off this restriction if you dont take the bonus.

I think, believe it or not, that it has more to do with slight differences in versions, rather than the casinos actually choosing. I remember this happening to me all the time on every new casino I downloaded... that's why I complained :) These days, it doesn't seem to happen very often.

Trust me - if Jupiter Club had any control whatsoever, they would much rather you be playing right away, instead of having to wait until the whole shebang downloaded, by which time you could either have lost interest or gotten frustrated, or even simply forgotten.

Either that or there's something I don't know about, in which case I would very much like to know what is going on and I will then of course direct a query straight to their management.

MG

I adopted a procedure last year that might be useful...

I open the casino...download the games I want...then exit my provider (aol) with the casino still open...when I re-connect to the casino, additional upgrades are "unavailable"...killing all sound and opting for "quick spin"(slots) or no "double" (vp) makes for the fastest play.
