Jacktop Casino - Verification and Withdrawal issues

Hi, hoping someone can help with this.

I recently joined Jacktop Casino, saw an advert for them online and seemed legit from what I read.

I played on their site and have been very lucky and won £3k - I then attempted to verify and this was the most difficult verification process I've had to go through - wanting copies of bank statements showing deposits to them (even though were pending and not showing up on statements yet) and then passport with selfie etc etc.

Anyway, after three days I managed to verify to then be told I only had three withdrawal methods available - all of which I have never heard of and if I'm honest seem a bit scammy. Jeton, Mifinity and Paydo. They will not allow me to withdraw to the card I deposited with or allow a bank transfer - stating this isn't available to UK players. Their terms and conditions state where possible they will pay to deposit method used. I haven't found anywhere in which it states UK players cannot withdraw to these methods.

The support team have been less than helpful, can't tell me why they won't allow me to withdraw to my preferred methods.

Is anyone able to advise where to go from here? I don't really want to open any of the accounts it gives me the options for - but I guess I will have to, if anyone knows anything about them any advice would be great.

I've never won this amount before so was really happy, but now all I feel is stressed 🤦

Jacktop you say, possibly could be better named ‘jacked-up’. Costa Rica license, not even worth the paper it is written on.

You have every right to feel anxious about getting this money, as there is nothing in place here to protect you sadly. Wherever you saw the ad for this casino, it should probably be a website to avoid in future.

Your one possible hope is to get signed up with one of these payment providers and see if you can withdraw funds. Maybe do some research and see which seems the least dodgy to you.

They are telling you the truth that you can’t do a bank transfer with them as they are not ‘legally’ allowed to let UK players deposit of withdraw, due to licensing restrictions. If you check your statement you will probably notice your deposit to them was for some ‘Persian rugs’ or ‘garden furniture’ on your statement.

Anyway, keep trying, you might get lucky. Oh, don’t keep playing there. You will only lose more money.

Thank you for the speedy response. I googled top UK online casinos and it appeared only a couple of results 🤦

I've only recently started playing online again and it appears many more dodgy places compared to years ago when I played.

I'll do some more research into the options it gave me but not holding out hope - thanks again.

I used jeton and Mifinity extensively when I lived in Canada.

Jeton recently converted from an e-wallet to some sort of pseudo bank account. I haven't used it since I left Canada so not sure about fees etc (was 1-2% before I think). Never had any issues withdrawing back then. Now it's a bank account withdrawing is essentially a bank transfer which means much higher limits than before and the bank transfer might only have fixed fees like 30 CAD as was often the case for Canadian bank transfers. I'll edit this with some info once I'm at my pc and can search about fees.

Mifinity has also been no issues. I did have a SOW check after five figures passes through the account but that only locked it down for about 5 days. When interac wasn't available it was technically available through Mifinity as a sort of pass through which unlike their other deposit methods (card, transfer, interac deposit to wallet) so that was nice as it made that deposit method available on more sites than it was, especially ones that had euro/USD wallets (such as the lovely 3dice). Like someone else said, withdrawals come with fees. Not too bad but who likes fees eh?

Both accounts will require you to kyc before use. I believe it's a proof of address and ID but could also have been a selfie as well. And I would say both accounts can be trusted, atleast for this transfer anyways if you do get paid. Not heard of or used paydo.

Proof of deposit is fairly standard procedure although it is nice when a casino only asks for id and address.

ID selfie is also somewhat common, with some sites requiring it immediately alongside basic kyc(id,poa). More commonly it's used as an advanced KYC step.

The worst kinda stuff is custom note selfies, spoken video id selfies with note, live video calls. The LCS Limited special. So whilst this was a bit more than you were used to, if could have been much worse.

One of my personal habits it's to have a neat set of folders on my desktop with id, card, selfie and address documents saved and ready to go.

Have been able to use the same selfie with most sites although some asked for custom ones and others used KYC software (such as hooyou, onfido, veriff among others) for submitting ID, Address proof and "Liveness Checks" all one one go.

To UK players they are and as a result these players will likely get shafted and/or treated like second class citizens. In my personal opinion I do think that a "UK switcheroo" Costa Rica is more likely to have a good outcome than a standalone Costa Rica licensee.

In other territories they are one of the many (41) FairGame G.P. N.V. properties. A group which has atleast one casino with an affiliate relationship with Casinomeister (gamix.bet). I know technically the relationship is with the affiliate rather than the group but it is something I guess.

They hold an equally worthless Anjouan licence and a provisional Curacao GCB licence. One thing I will say is whilst most Costa Rica SRLs that these switcheroos use are normally some random word, FairGame Software hasn't hidden their identity apart from initialising it to FGS.

For what it's worth if I was to place a bet on whether or not you will get paid, I would bet that you will given all the variables with this specific site. If it was some random Costa Rica only licence (such as the confusion creating gamix.vip) I'd be betting the opposite.

Make a wallet, either will do fine. I have only used Mifinity with my UK bank though and not sure on the transfer times with jeton now being a pseudo bank account.

If you have issues being paid, keep pestering them for a week and if you get nothing after 7 days, make a PAB here at casinomeister via the complaints button at the top.

It's so sad that in 2024 this is still happening in the Google search engine. Maybe ChatGPT and AI taking over is inevitable if this is the best Google can serve up. I don't blame them, it's just mind boggling that affiliate sites promoting Costa Rican-licensed casinos can appear at the top of the serps.

The worse thing is reporting or flagging those ads actually give them more 'interaction' points and gets them to score even higher on AI search. Thats my experience anyway. Time for people to ditch Google I think... and stick to Network of Trust sites like CM.

OP, hope you managed to sign up for one of those payment options. Do full KYC first before you send any funds, so you know you won't get frozen (again).
