Jackpots in a Flash

I am experiencing what I think is a deliberate deceptive practice.

A few weeks ago I deposited $1000 at Jackpots in a Flash. I played some video poker, and won a little over $6000. (Yay!) I didn't cash out. I left the money in because I intended to play more.

About a week later I logged in and they had added a $200 bonus to my account. I am aware that usually they want you to play 20 times their bonuses, and my intent was to play anyway so I played slots and gave them over 7000 in wagering. I won another $5000 or so. (Yay again.) Now I went to cash out.

Here is where the deception begins.
I waited a week and when I didn't receive the money I logged into my casino account and my money was back there. Note to all casinos--when you do this you should email the customer to tell them you have done it and why.

I cashed out again, and sent an email asking what had happened. They wrote back and said that not only did I owe 20 times the bonus, but I also owed 20 times the 1000 deposit.

I wrote back and said I did not ask for the bonus, and I did not want the bonus, and to please remove it and process my cashout. They wrote back and said that because I had played with the money in my account they would not do that.

I think this is an outright shot they are taking. I should mention that 3 days before my 1000 deposit I had also deposited 1000 and lost it. No bonus showed up that time. Why did I suddenly receive this bonus on the time I had a balance?

So if you win, and don't withdraw right away they just say, hey, why not put in some bonus and give the player some huge wagering.

I don't think the Money Mechanic casinos (Piggs Peak, Mummy's Gold, Jackpots in a Flash) are the only ones who do this, but for now I would say stay away.

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Regardless, you should only have a bonus placed into your account after you have agreed to the terms. This is why I liked the concept of a "bonus account" - keeping it separate from the "real" money.

Please PAB so I can get this to the casino. Thanks!

Thank you Bryan, I have PABed.

I never cared for bonus accounts. I think the best system is the one Intercasino has which is--you can cash out everything but the bonus until you have met the wagering. I believe Bella Vegas has now gone to a similar system. Next is a system where you must apply for the bonus like at Belle Rock casinos or 32 Red.

I always worry when I open a casino and fine $10 or $25. I think, is this some trap where I have to play some particular games or they will steal the winnings. This is one area I wish the casinos would make things much more clear.

This group were known for this years ago too, amongst other things. For example, a person reported a few years ago that he deposited for the sign up bonus and another $5 appeared in his account without claiming just before he started to play (this bonus was called a 'Weekly PB Bonus' in playcheck) but on the website it stated that you needed to claim this bonus manually using a claim form on the site to qualify for it, which obviously he never claimed. He looked on the website and he had to wager his deposit multiple times on top of the sign up bonus terms (10xdeposit I think as well as the $5 bonus) just to be able to withdraw anything after they put this tiny bonus in without his permission

I don't want to list all the other things they've done but there are many including trying to confiscate bonuses, not pay winnings until reminded (this happened to me), confusingly changed terms too often and they also tried applying terms retroactively at times.

VIP Bonuses

Good day all,

The VIP Bonus is a bonus that players do not have to register for. Therefore it is automatically paid to High purchasers. Our team will be removing the bonus and letting the player know. Notices are sent to players however if someone purchases high all the time, we don't send email correspondence every time.

I cannot comment on past behaviour, besides I think it's best to concentrate on today -

If there are any bonsues that people do not want to receive, simply tell the support team to place a note on their accounts and we will not give Casino Bonuses to that player.

Our Terms and Conditions do state that players have to request to have a bonus removed if you do not wish to meet wager BEFORE you start playing...

The casino has in no way acted with deliberate deceptive practice intentionally.
Our apologies for any frustrations caused!

So this player will be getting paid the full amount due?

I know that if i had a player depositing $1000 and playing slots at my casino (not that I own one!) I'd treat him a whole lot better than this.

You really need to sort this out. I hate it when everytime I play at a casino I have to go on live help just to double check they haven't sneaked anyting into my account.

Chezza, please correct me if I am missing something here; you gave this player a bonus but didn't tell her or give her the opportunity to decline it? Admittedly she played again after the bonus was placed in her account, but she was not actually informed that a bonus with certain conditions attached had been arbitrarily placed at her disposal.

Now you've (commendably and kudos for that) sorted it out but you're still staying that the onus rests on the player to decline any bonus you might decide to give him or her without notification?

Surely the casino can back its generosity with a simple notification to the recipient, giving him or her the upfront knowledge and an opportunity to decline the bonus before incurring the conditions?

Before Chezza made her post, she assured me that they are reviewing their bonus policies and will be implementing an email procedure to accept or deny a bonus.

It probably would be better to have players register for the VIP bonus to avoid confusion. I believe this is the case for their other ongoing promotion, the 10% alternative payment bonus. However, it does not seem to me they were being deliberately deceptive because the automatic VIP bonus is clearly presented in their promotions section.

FTR, I played at this group frequently in the past year and was fairly well satisfied with the customer support and timeliness of payments.
