tried several times to make a deopsit using what had been my fail proof debit card and was rejected by the bank.it seems now that its just not the larger banks that are rejecting but the mid size and some credit unions are also putting the halt on it.i went to the atm just to see and was able to get money out,so must be the bank.its getting slim pickings out there on methods of deposits." i think big brother is a watching " and its a lil bit scarry imo. maybe better days are comming, soon i hope.

I think it will get worse before it gets better, but in the long run I see the tide turning... watch and see if the imedia complaint will be successful and a stay will be put on UIGEA. I think it has a chance... write to your congressman, it's so important...

I've been hearing that fat lady warming up for months...

It's been over for me for quite some time -- at least until a stable, reliable, convenient, deposit and withdrawal method is found.

My Netspend is still working

A mixed blessing for sure, since I'm a 'chaser' and don't know when to switch slot machines. I'm accepting any and all advice regarding Microgaming slot behaviors. Please leave out any advice that begins with "don't be such a lame doofus!" :D

From what I'm reading I can't pick up any common thread between acceptance and rejection. However, for what it's worth, I did NOT obtain mine at a retail store. I applied through a local check cashing/payday loan location that is Nationwide: Checkmate.

Good luck to everyone, myself included.

Be casual, Cas :) You know. Be casual, indeed, relax. If that doesn't work send a paper check to your favorite casino :D

PM's are assured by Bryan, as well as we know omnivore, to be personal.

SUDDENLY..a depositing problem for Cas

:eek:Late this afternoon I attempted to log in to inetbet and play for a bit. I got an error message that I was unable to connect and assuming the site was down for server maintenance or similar, I blew it off until moments ago. Logged in and got the familiar "A new version of the lobby is available for download"....software patch or update (another assumption, purely my own, so lend it only the credence it might deserve). Got to the cashier, S.O.P. to deposit with my NetSpend..declined, again and again, even varying the amount. Anyone else? More importantly any word that something is up with inetBet and US Players? This is a totally honest question, just trying to determine what might be amiss. I'm off to try the same deposit at another RTG sight I frequent. Thanks.

Cas:eek:

Cas was way too quick "outta the gate"

Everyone, including Bryan and the folks at INETBET, please accept my sincere apology for speaking too quickly before I had investigated all possibilities. That is NOT my typical behavior and I don't admire it in others so this is major egg on my face. What actually happened that finally clicked with me is my Netspend deposit attempts were being denied because the Netspend sight was temporarily down, probably a routine matter. Because of that it was not available for the merchants such as INETBET to receive authorizations on those deposit attempts. INETBET was kind enough to reply privately to me that I had no cause for concern but I feel the need to explain my foot in mouth problem, publicly, to all of you, to set the record straight. You'll find me, sitting quietly with my hands folded in my lap. But anyway who wants to give me a swift kick in the behind, just ask and I'll stand temporarily. :o Cas

Re

I just got a letter in the mail from a check verifivation service that my bank acount information has been compromised, ( at work rite now cant remember the name of company, but when you rite a check in the store, they make sure your not on the black list etc,....)
Anyway, an employee got the information and sold it to marketing companies.
He was fired. It it said that the inofmration they had of mine was either a banking transaction, or online gaming transaction. The scarey thing is, rite before I got this letter in the mail, I am getting a bunch of phishing scams with my bank account name, its a VERY small local bank, and yet I suddenly get these fifhing scams , after my information has been sold. Hmmm

 Cripes Ama, what does the bank suggest you do? This identity theft scam bullshit is rampant. The recent Fair Credit Reporting Act now enables us to request a free annual credit check by all three big ones ie: Experian, Transunion and Equifax, but when you go to get one you can run into a fake free annual report offering that really charges you a fee and who knows what else they are up to. If you want to get a current report you should go thru the Federal Trade Commission site. I sure hope you have caught this in time and not much damage has been or will be done. Good luck.

Well since none of the casinos have my bank account information, and the letter sent to me did have my correct bank information on it, I am assuming its from a store or place I wrote a check to. All I can really do it moniter my bank account.

Scary that when you write a check anywhere, the check verification services get your banking information. Never knew that.

Ama

That is troubling Ama. I think I would close the account and use cash or plastic in the future:eek2:

Did you see dateline last night about the iPods? they paid some unknown software company like 40k to create software and a disk that looked like you were registering with Apple.. you were but the info also went to dateline... how hard would it be for a scammer to buy or steal new ipods, replace the registration disk, reseal the packages and send them out mail order or even restock a store shelf. Bingo, you'd have people signing up and giving you all of the info you would need to reem them.:xxx What about casino CD's... the list is endless and the criminal mind will always find a scheme.

For Cyn; My gf had her info compromised when a laptop was stolen from a nurse's car. She can't get a credit report now without retina scans, finger prints and dna (well pertnear)

Yes, it's pretty scary isn't it? the reality is even the place you write your check at has all of the info as well. I work in accounting in a major grocery store, and every check written is stored in our software. I could look up somebody and get their acct# routing# name and address, etc.
