Out of interest....how much are real cigarettes in the US/Canada and Europe? It's like $20+ for a packet of 30 here (I don't smoke since 12 years ago but the price interests me). I remember a pack of 30 being $4 in 1987.....400% inflation!!

I think you need to pay around 100 kr (16 USD) for a packet of 20 here in Norway.

About 10 bucks for regular brands, but pretty much any store has the discount brands for about 6 or 7 bucks. If you can get to the reservation you can get res smokes for around 10 bucks for 200

Nuh-uh. I live with a smoker who refuses outright to even try to quit, so I'd go mental trying myself. Next time I'm up visiting my mom I'll give it a go since there won't be temptation and noone to take my anger out at lol

I pay about $10 for a pack of 20 here, but last time I visited my mom in B.C. about 3 years ago I paid over $13 for the same brand.

I pay $50 a carton these days for Pall Mall Blue, which are "light" 100's.
If they ever get as high as they are in New York and some other places, I may have to consider quitting. Die hard smoker, I guess.
About the e-cig, my son swears by them. He switched almost 3 years ago and hasn't giving the real thing a second thought.
But, you should know there are lots of brands of e-cigs. Some of which are junk. I can supply you with some links to good quality ones, the ones my son uses. Give me a pm and I will ask him.

In the UK 20 Marlboro about £8.60 ($13.75 US) per pack. Then again petrol is $9.50 US per gallon here, we're used to being raped by the exchequer.

Yeah, just looks like a low-grade satire site. The name is "abril uno" - "april one" - "april fool's day."
Seems kind of dumb to me to make this sort of joke about something that's pretty much only a question of time (big businesses trying to get in on a new cash cow), but the site is probably just hoping that the headline will get them a bunch of page views.
Regarding the e-cigs thing, is there any significant reason why someone would prefer regular cigs to e-cigs? I've heard some people say they just don't like e-cigs/they don't feel the same. But since I don't smoke myself, I wonder whether or not it really is that different or they're just being obstinate.
This picture has been around for several years.
Where do you live? That's what I smoke and I pay $56 a carton (200 cigs) so it's pretty similar.

I still want a pack even if it's false.
We all know it's a bad habit but to keep the cost down I roll my smokes with the gambler cigarette full flavor tobacco for a $1.20 a pack of 20.
My brand all my life was reg Marlboro (red pack) now at $8.45 a pack here.
