I am fuming.
Had a session on Ted Megaways on Gala Spins.

over 2 hours of play before I hit a bonus feature. It gave me 12p.
Another 45 mins of play before hitting the feature again...this time it gave me 18p.
Another 70 mins before the feature came in....and it gave me 18p.

absolutely disgusting. only 3 bonus features in nearly 4 hours of spinning and not a single one gave me even 1x my stake.

I know Gala are famous for their incredibly low win rate but surely this is illegal???

Not illegal, just unlucky. Perhaps it uses the Bonanza code?

That’s funny because I decided to try Ted Megaways again this weekend, for the very, very, very last time ever. Ever. What a shite game.

Had roughly 1,000x on Ted Megaways once. Not really played it that much though.

Blueprint does some wicked Megaways games, but on the whole, that usually reliable developer has been rather unreliable for me too lately.

Peaks and troughs I suppose.

I have done over 28,000 spins on Ted Megaways and nearly 32 hours worth of play and have STILL not hit the bonus feature, biggest win was ÂŁ3.20 from a 20p stake in the 22 hours. Around ÂŁ1400 put in and still not a bonus feature or a win above 16x my stake. Is this normal? My brother played it on his account, hit 5 scatter symbols within the first 10 spins and won over ÂŁ600 from a 20p stake. I put in more money thinking surely it cant be that bad again, and it is every time.

Starting to think my account is rigged because I cannot be that unlucky, surely. Let me know if this is how the game usually plays.

Random luck
Really? You think 28,000 spins without a bonus is not a bit extreme, even considering a seriously bad run of luck, I would have thought a bonus or two would have surfaced.

What is the average bonus game hit rate? 6/7/800 spins at worst? I know games vary but what's the average bonus game hit rate on Megaways? 3/4/500 spins?

Even Bonanza drops the D more often than what this seems to be doing.

I don't think 28,000 spins is normal, perhaps even possible given the accuracy of the game designs. Would love to know the answer.

Which casino are you playing it on plse?

To me that sounds rigged, I've heard it's not meant to happen, but has happened a lot. Whatever source of randomness the game provider or casino is using, randomness has a feature that in larger samples there is always some distribution of remote chances of something happening. I claim to remember some video I saw years ago where the company was offering a random number generation solution to gambling clients. I distinctly remember the man saying that they could provide random at a better revenue to their clients, I presume because they were fiddling with the "random seed" probably. I never saw the video again, and didn't take a note of the name etc, just remembered this! It was a marketing video from an unknown company, this was probably about 7 years ago. I don't know if they got any clients, but I did use to find at Coral the pre-bet spinner was bordering on suspiciously likely to initially start generous often coming in and later to go very cold like clockwork. I complained and I remember the pre-bet spinner was sometimes acting more fair, but it can be done with the starting seed value of the random number sequence, modifying this eg to a known seed with pre-seen known future numerical outcomes which were unfavourable maybe at a touch of a button is what has happened here maybe. There have been instances of features never coming in or other bad random reported I've read over 1,200 casino reviews on Trustpilot, I read about 1,000 about 5 years ago and there were reports eg at Virgin Games that they were running bad random.

I should add regarding the post I just made, I also found at Coral the pre-bet spinner would like "reset" the random back to more generous so if you went from trying to ultimately stake ÂŁ6 on a bet to trying to stake ÂŁ5 or ÂŁ7 on a bet, the sequence would reset to more favourable. I was playing roulette and you're only able to stake ÂŁ2 at a time, so the pre-bet spinner is the only way to get a bigger bet on on the roulette there. Having said that this may be known about. I used to find I'd do well betting in the knowledge of the bias of the numbers coming from the roulette wheel. The roulette RTP is theoretically 97.3% +/- variance so currently I would have thought it's a better deal than slots at the moment! I did do ÂŁ20 or ÂŁ30 on slots in the last fortnight and won nothing! Since then I've been closing casino accounts so we can concentrate on our own launch next year. Fruit machine RTP at one of the local cafes used to be 92% years ago when they had tokens. If the RTP is 91% on a game, then every time you press spin the casino makes 9p, on mean average, if you were spinning at ÂŁ1 a spin.

If Ted Megaways was tested over 1,000,000 spins, which, I don't know for sure, but given the release date that's my best guess, then 28,000 spins are about 2.8% of a full test run and game design.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable could offer their opinion. Would be great to see Blueprint answer this one.

@L&L-Jan @Mark_Lottomart ever had a game run 28,000 spins with no bonus round or win over 16x?

@trancemonkey @The Reel Story this sound possible?

Assuming this is the legit, 96.03% version of the slot, running at a proper casino, I would say those numbers are, essentially, statistically impossible to achieve.

Yes, it's akin to rolling a die 60 times and not getting a six. Statistically possible but vanishingly unlikely.

I am not sure at what casino the OP is playing at, but having done 28,000 spins with no bonus (unlikely) or even a 20x win (even more unlikely) I find that very hard to believe.

I play this game quite often and find it pretty reasonable. Bonus drops in every 300 to 400 spins, base game holds pretty well.

Would love to know what casino this is played at!

Here's what this looks like.

But yes, I should have said 'statistically possible, but with a probability of very close to zero'.
