WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO AVOID BLOCKS WHEN SENDING TO
COMCAST

Conform to the standards
All email must comply with all relevant RFCs.

Ensure your rDNS is correct
Comcast performs an rDNS on the IP of the sending server. If the sending server does not have a PTR record and a MX or an A record set up properly, the connections will not be accepted.

Stay off DNSBL lists
Comcast consults several DNSBLs including Spamhaus Zen, TrendMicro MAPS, and ReturnPath. Being listed on any reputable, widely used, DNSBL is likely to cause your email to be blocked not only by Comcast, but other ISPs as well.

Keep your distribution lists clean
A large number of undeliverable emails sent to Comcast will result in a sending IP being blocked. All Not Our Customer NDNs should be treated as an unsubscribe request.

Practice good abuse management
Enforce AUPs and mitigate compromised accounts and machines. Dictionary or Directory Harvest attacks are treated seriously and will quickly lead to the sending IP being blocked.

Keep it Static
Dynamic IP space is a common haven for compromised machines used in bot networks. As a result, in keeping with industry best practices, Comcast does not accept mail from dynamic IP space. If email appears to be coming from dynamic IP space then it will not be accepted.

Keep your IP reputation clean
Overall IP reputation is key to successfully sending to Comcast. If Comcast, or another reputable organization repeatedly receives spam, spyware or other malicious attacks, phishing efforts or other deceptive emails from a certain IP address, Comcast is more likely to block future messages from that IP address. Ensure the overall sending reputation of the sending mail system is as clean as possible.

Pay attention to error messages
Most non-delivery notifications Comcast returns contain links to FAQs which explain why the block occurred and instruct in how to remediate the issue. Take the time to review any errors; it is likely they hold the key to a quick remediation.

Watch the sending limits
Comcast allows 2 simultaneous connections per sending IP address.
Comcast allows 1000 recipients per message.
Comcast allows a throttle rate based on your sender

IS THIS BIG BROTHER'ISH?????????
WHT DO YOU THINK im not shure
thanx R C

I'd contact the casino and have them check and see if their mail server IP is on a blacklist somewhere....these databases are to help curb spam, nothing more....

In this case, I don't think it's big brother...most major ISP's adhere to these standards.

From what I have read, I think that their mail server has been blacklisted. Either with the your email provider, or with the ISP.

Try to contact them in a few days, if it was a blacklisting issue, it should take 3-4 days to fix.

Not big brother, but spam protection.

Which casino are you having email problems with?

well the issue is over and done with ,with a posative result so id rather not mention any names now could be counter productive ,hope you understand

Being an affiliate I recieve a lot of email direct from many of the casinos and you would be surprised how many of them use mail servers that do not have the correct mx and reverse dns entires.

Most of these fixes would take them minutes to do, but it just doesn't get done.

Luckily my mail server marks incoming mail with incorrect records and passes it through anyway, and I would very much like to change that and just delete it since it would likely reduce my mail servers load byt the 10's of thousands of messages per week, but that likely will never happen since there are so many companies out there that have incorrect dns records.

I am shocked that more of the casinos don't realize how much of a problem this is to them.

Rocky, all at comcast is just nerd stuff to reduce spam received in YOUR inbox.

If you were having trouble sending the email to them, then it's the reverse problem, somethin going on on THEIR mail server.
