Hello
Can you please help me in this matter?
Is there any limit that a casino must put to the deposits, especially when it concerns a new player?
I am a totally new player in a web casino (for now I won't give you its name).
At first I was wining (don't we all?). At no time I lost it all and start deposit greater sums. As I was using my credit card at first I could refund my deposits, but without notice I became complicated in something behind control. In my first 2 months as a new player I deposited more then $20,000!
Is there no limit that a casino must put to the deposits?
Please answer me ASAP.
Thanks a lot
N.

Hi Rakefet,

And welcome to the forum. It depends on which casino you are playing at. Some have weekly or monthly deposit limits. Some don't. Which casino was this?

Thanks Bryan.
It was global-player casino

My question is, are they aloud not to have weekly or monthly deposit limits?
Is it right to accept such a high deposit (more then 20.000$) from a new player on his
first month?

I,m just curious as to why you are asking this rakefet?? Do you want to be limited on how much you can deposit per week...or month?? As long as the money is green, they,ll take it from you. They don,t care if you can,t repay your lending institution. If you can,t stop, and need help, go to this site.... gamblock.com .. download the program for twenty bucks, and it wont let you gamble on your computer again...EVER! It can,t be removed. Good luck! Tim

rakefet, it sounds like you maybe got in over your head. You should seriously consider talking to gamblers anonymous before you play anywhere again. They are at

I agree with the rest.

You may be in over your head. $20,000 is an exuberant amount to be throwing to the wind, even if you are filthy rich. $20,000 could have done wonders for a charity for the blind, or homeless kids, or something.

You ought to move on and find something else to fullfill your leisure time. There are a few casinos that have deposit limits, but not many.

Not only does the amount worry me, but he states
"As I was using my credit card at first I could refund my deposits"

I question what is meant by that, does he mean he was doing charge backs??

THANK YOU ALL, BUT YOU HAVE MISSED THE POINT HERE.
I am not an addict gambler that fulfill his leisure time throwing to the wind his money instead of giving it to charity. It was my first experience as a web gambler
I only played at one casino and only for one month.
And I am not rich. Loosing $20,000 was a real disaster, so you don't have to make it worst for me.
Anyhow, YOU DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION: You say that there are a few casinos that have deposit limits, but are they not oblige to do so? Are there no rules? Are web casinos a pure Jungle???

If that,s how you spend when you are NOT an addict, damn!!! Twenty thousand in 2 months! Anyway, I,d like to know why the credit card company didn,t question this and/or put a stop to it. After all...it,s their money until you pay it back. How,d you get such a huge credit line anyway?? Or is it several cards? As far as gambling online... YES!!!!! it is a jungle out there. If you have a choice....gamble at a land-based casino. I don,t think I need to tell you that losses rack up alot easier online than at a "real" casino.

Gambling $20k in one month when you are not rich tells me you ARE a gambling addict. Otherwise you would have stopped at $2k, 5k, 10k, 15k, etc. Get some help! Its not their problem if you gamble beyond your means. And they don't particularly care if you do so. They are in the business to make money from your losses.

And the very simple answer to your question is NO! They are not obliged to do ANYTHING. That's why its called an unregulated industry. They make and abide by their own rules with VERY limited exceptions (like Lasseters, which is associated with a land based casino). I'd suggest you don't try to charge it back either, since they will prosecute you for fraud and that will put you in a worse position than you are now. Jail!

tim5ny,

Nothing beats the feel or sight of real hard cold cash in one's hand. Aint that the truth. ;)

$20K in 2 months, my mind boggles at the total amount of play through cash you lost, on top of your debt.

Guess you learnt a hard lesson, unfortunately it sounds like it cost you the shirt from your back!

Have you thought about taking up base jumping or bungie jumping, or even swimming with sharks, you get the same rush but it's far cheaper!

Been there, done that :)

Well, at least bungie jumping... LOL... off a crane, no less... and I'm still here to tell the tale!

And glodge is right - not only is the rush similar, it IS way cheaper :) But I don't know if I will ever bungie jump again... 14x was enough for me.

LOL spear 14x LOL, you crack me up sometimes :)

Maybe you need to come to Australia and do the shark thing! Port Lincon South Australia, has some of the biggest, bad ass white pointers in the world.

They take you out in a large boat, drop a blood and whale oil scum, over the side and then drop you into a shark cage.

Pretty soon you come face to face with a number of 15 - 20 foot hungry white pointer sharks. That's a rush!!!

Considering you only have about 1/4 of an inch of high tensile steel between you & the sharks.

14x - and I was the guinea pig! LMAO... friends of mine had set up a bungie jumping pit in Pattaya - while they were accomplished bungie jumpers themselves, they needed someone else to do some testing and demonstrations... so yours truly kind of got roped in.

Was kind of fun - but I don't know that I would ever want that kind of a rush again!

Pass on the sharks... LOL... that's a LITTLE too close for comfort!

Nice friends :)

I'm getting too old or is that too sensible to be to doing crazy sh#t these days, think I'll stick to exceeding the speed limit, and the rush of wondering if I get a ticket or not. And gambling :)
