Feedback Is there a way to block PMs from only one user?

Every once in awhile I see someone getting bothered by a PM someone sent them, I thought there was a way to just not accept PMs from that person - similar to just ignoring them.

Looking around I see that you can block PMs from everyone, or from anyone not on your friend list, but it seems silly if you have to add everyone except that one person to your friend list.

Is there a way to do it?

Actually I think the best and only way is to ignore them.
You can still read their posts if you want to, but you don't need to get any pm's.

I find that strange to, the no ability to block pm's from users who are pushing it. Have no problems with that right now, but please feel free to pm the procedure for future use

That's really easy.
Just go to the persons profile and you will see the option to ignore on the left side.

I only ever have had one person on ignore and that was because he posted my private pm's.
Using the ignore function can also stop us from getting in to personal fights so it really is a good thing to use.
It's just as easy to remove.

Never something ive actually thought about. Don't have problems with PMs and don't have anyone I would want to ignore. Besides if there was someone I wanted to ignore because of their posts i don't think I actually could. My curiosity would stop me as id want to know what they were posting.

I agree.
Better to know what they are saying and chose to ignore it, than have them "talking behind my back" and not know what exactly what's been said...

What is the point of putting someone on "ignore" if you can still see their posts???
Never having tried it, I have always assumed you CAN'T see their posts.

Ok, I try one more time

The posts are blocked so you don't need to read them, but you can choose to if you're curious.

You can use it just for the purpose of not getting in to a fight through pm's.

I ignored someone yesterday because he wasn't acting as he should. I just removed it later and it was all fine.
Some are drunk or having a bad temper, so yes it can be useful.

Lol I would have thought the same. Ignore someone so you don't have to see what they post yet it still lets you.

I've never used the ignore thing either so wasn't sure how it works. I suppose if you have someone on ignore and then if you visit the forum without logging in you can see what they post right?

Yes, and it is everyones own responsibility for how they react to anyones post anyway.

Do a test Chayton and put me on ignore and look around.
It doesn't hurt to try things. Just don't keep me there

If I have you on ignore I can send to you, but you can't respond, and if you send one then I don't get it.
