Is a disappearing slot game the norm?

Hi, bit of a newbie here.
This has happened to me twice now on two different slots... Playing for hours on a high volatility slot so have invested a fair few bucks into it only for the whole game to be removed after I took a short break, came back, it's gone completely from the casino site, and even from my "last played history" along with any chance of being able to throw a bonus and hopefully win some bucks back.
The games are still available on other casino sites, so can't be a technical issue??
The first time it happened last year and the game has never returned.
What should/can I do?
Bit unfair really. Would there be any comeback from the casino concerned?
Just thought I would ask on here before I decide to have a moan to them about it. Has it happened to anyone else?
If I played the games on another site would it link or know on my device that I have played it before?
Frustrated. Feeling a tad ripped off.

The one disappearing last year was Cossacks The Wild Hunt, and the one last night was 8 Tigers Gold Megaways.

I know Sky Vegas remove Dead or Alive 2 periodically. They appear to remove it every week for a day or two. No idea why.

Is it just those games or all from the same provider? If it’s all from that provider, probably one of those occasions where deals between casinos and providers end. Sometimes they come back.

Loads of my faves have disappeared from my usual sites over the years-Jungle Madness/Thors thunder (I know they're the same exact gameplay as big top tombola but still) fairest of them all, winnings of oz, bounty of the beanstalk, god of storms. Gone off most my sites if not all. There are so few slots I even enjoy right now. Probably a good thing tho lol
