Then when the time comes for friends to see your 'invisible other' like for example at a family party, what do they offer?
A life-size cardboard cut-out to sit next to you?
Or a fake Police officer to drop by and tell you if front of the expectant people that your 'partner' is making a witness statement at a crime scene and can't attend?

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own purchases and imaginary relationships, but I'm a big fan of, if you're alone and able, adopt a dog or cat.
