How might that affect your engagement or perception of the platform? For example, when you reach a certain few account levels you plant a tree.

To be honest, there is too much of corruption in these types of initiatives. Somewhere, somehow, someone will scrape the pot and misuse money. No matter how much of good intent there is...

Look at the Haiti fund that Hilary Clinton ran. She paid 3 Million USD for her daughters wedding from money that was supposed to have gone to the people of Haiti.

Crazy world...

You've just described 99% of charities.
A con.

I thought it was April the 1st. when I saw this ridiculous question.

'For example, when you reach a certain few account levels you plant a tree.'

What if I live in an apartment? Where the hell would I plant the bloody thing?

If you go up another level after that, will somebody go and water the sapling?

I can't wait - I've turned over 50k and get sent a voucher to collect a free leylandii seedling from B&Q. Spiffing.

Yeah I was thinking it was like the missus saying to me that after playing an hour of slots I can go mow the f-ing lawn.

the idea is great but the greed from the casinos doesnt align with it.

i woulndt change my habits but it would make me smile when i think of my good deeds^^

edit: i might have misunderstood this. thought that the casino would plant the tree for me when i reach a certain goal. that would be great!

It would make more sense to reward a player for loyalty / compensation than to tell the player:

Thanks to you we managed to donate 200 euros to Unicef.
Which comes down to 1% of losses, which means player gets reminded about a 20k loss where a big boss at Unicef first fill their pockets with before it actually goes to the relevant destination.

Also UK operators are already charged with a 1.xx (now I cant remember the exact percentage) of the ggr for protection of vulnerables/problem gamblers/research to the subject.

greed, greed is good (Gordon Gekko).

FYI: Not all casinos run on that concept. I think I've been proving that for over a decade here. I also think that one particular topic where a customer was playing Funky Time and a bet was not accepted due to latency issues. Although the bet was a 40k. We still gave the customer the win.

Does that behaviour showcase "greed"? I dont believe so, but maybe I am wrong here and not fully educated on the subject of greed.

thats very nice from said casino but its not the norm imo.

evolution itself just cancel bets/bonus rounds as they like and then even good casinos cant do sth.

i agree that not all are greedy and there are some very good ones, sadly thats not the majority
