Hi y'all,

It's about that time of year again where I make my pilgrimage to London for the ICE.

My primary objective is to meet a few industry personnel and gather info or present issues of interest.

This is your change to post any legit questions here and possibly I'll chase down or bump into whoever it pertains to.

By the way, I will be there with Max, Spear, and Simmo - so you must behave. :D

Yea, I've got a great suggestion for you my man...

How about you and some of the other well respected Forum Owners and Master Affiliates get together and organize a campaign of sorts and brainstorm on what can be done to put a Stop to all of the BS Spam that everyone is constantly getting daily from...

GoldVIPClub Casino
King Dice Casino
Golden Crown Casino

They are all probably the same bunch anyway, but you and others that are in the positions of power and influence in this industry have to see how this is truly hurting and is so detrimental to this industry.

Make it happen Bryan, if anyone can take the lead in this to get something going with all the others that you know in this industry and the SEO guys...you all could make a big difference in how this type of situation gets handled in our industry...:notworthy

Thanks for the opportunity!!

My question is for upper level management and /or owner's of Rivals Gaming:confused: whomever that may be. See Jetset's article from 1-16-09 in your News section:thumbsup:

I previously posed the question/issue below to C.S.,fwiw, of a Rival's casino pursuant to Rival's progressive jackpots and did receive a reply but the reply did not entirely address my question/issue.

As I understand all Rival's progressive jackpots are being paid in installments (but I could not locate anything specific at the 4 or 5 Rival's casinos I checked at that even addresses payment of progressive jackpots but I did inquire on such with C.S.) to the subject winners. I also understand that the funds to pay the subject progressive jackpot winners' are actually collected across all the various Rival's casinos and consist of funds contributed almost in full by it's participating patrons of the subject progressive slot.

Thus, my question was and still is what happens to the actual cash funds that Rival's and/or the subject Rival's casino has in hand, in the event, regardless of reason (can be many including failure to meet WR's if a bonus is used but not relevant to the question) the subject winners of the progressive jackpots loses some part and/or all of the already funded cash designated for the subject winners back to the subject Rival's casino as non-cash credits (not cash) while Rival's and/or the subject Rival's casino withholds the subject progressive jackpot cash winnings from the subject winners during the reverse period and subsequent varying dependent number of weeks thereafter.

As mentioned above, I did receive a reply stating simply (as I paraphrase) that the cash is not returned to the Jackpot. Hopefully you can obtain more specifics.

Last week, another issue arose after I received a progressive jackpot promo email that at a minimum was a misreprentation but since I have just decided to speak with my own wallet and close my accounts, I will disregard this marketing issue.

Thanks:)

My question is geared toward the Canadian players and although it might not be considered important, it is one I would like to have foresight on.
I would like to know if the casinos who currently do not have the Canadian Funds option offered to Canadian players, if that will be something they will incorporate in the future?
It is really taking a toll on the Canadian dollar once the currency exchange is done.
Thanks!

Bryan, it would be cool if you could get a hold of any Rival folks and figure out more about what the deal is with their shared blacklist of bonus users/abusers.

Cheaper Games, less vague terms and a better way to stop fraud...

I was wondering if casino operators would be willing to lower their bet sizes, I.e. a minimum bet of 0.10p on games like blackjack, roulette, 3 card poker, a video-poker max bet option for 0.25p like they have on playtech. I would like this especially for microgaming and cryptologic casinos who I am finding it is getting too expensive to play.

I have noticed 32red have reduced the bet size on their mobile casino roulette to 0.20 a spin which is perfect. They haven't changed it on their online casino, but perhaps this will happen soon. It shows that minimum bet size can be reduced on microgaming casinos. I wish that all casinos would follow 32red's example in this and do something similar, not just for roulette though but all table games and slots.

A lot of folk are unemployed at the moment me included, and 1, 2, 5 and 10 minimum bets are too expensive. The thing is with this current worldwide credit crunch things are only going to get worse and less and less players are going to have the money to play anymore, and perhaps casinos should consider reducing their minimum bet sizes to accomodate those players who are really struggling at the moment and still want to play, it may be beneficial to them as well and a way for them to survive this economic crisis. As surely it is better for them to have players placing small 0.10 bets than to lose them altogether. Millions of people placing 0.10 bets soon adds up and there will still be high rollers out there like rockstars/dodgy bankers who can afford the higher bets. Just a thought...

Also would be good if something could be done about making terms/conditions easier to understand, and less vague. To avoid confusion and to stop them being used as an excuse to not pay someone. People should be able to bet how they want without feeling like criminals, i.e. some terms say hedge betting isn't allowed... I don't understand this, but it seems as if they are telling people they can't flat-bet... if someone wants to flatbet they are not bonus-abusers or fraudsters, they just want to make their play session last longer to increase entertainment value. If their term about hedge-betting isn't saying flat-betting is wrong, then it just goes to add to my point about them being confusing... Also if casinos don't want bot-play they should get rid of the auto-play function on their games, as I feel this is a daft thing to say when they have bots programmed in their games already like on the viper software. I have also noticed terms like it is possible to be a promotion abuser/bad player even if all the terms and conditions have been adhered to, and if the casino manager decides in its sole discretion despite terms and conditions being adhered to that the player is bad, then all winnings will be void... this seems like an extremely dodgy term to me and dangerous for the player... as could be used as an unfair excuse to not pay people their winnings...

Another thing it would be good to make people pass I.D. checks and for payment processers/casinos to run their fraud checks at the time of deposit rather than withdrawal. This would cause a lot less problems and confusion when it comes to complaints about players not getting paid, and will stop it becoming an excuse to not pay people. To me it seems quite a few casinos/not all do these checks at time of withdrawal as an excuse not to pay. I understand players want to play, and don't want to hang around waiting for checks, but perhaps in the long run it would work out better, and if all casinos adapt this policy, then players would get used to it. I feel it would end a whole load of problems. Another thing is I don't agree with bonus abusers and fraudsters being lumped together in the same sentence as if they are both as bad as each other, bonus abusers aren't criminals. I think if they checked their bonus abuser database at time of deposit rather than withdrawal, this would stop bonuses being added to those they consider to be bonus abusers ain the first place, and end a lot of unnecessary casino/player angst.
Hopefully if all these checks were done at the time of deposit rather than at time of withdrawal it would end all this bullshit...

Another thing, I have noticed that casinos are getting too lax about not displaying payout percentages for players to see, the ones displayed on site are often months old and no longer relevant. This to me seems a bit dodgy and would help me have more peace of mind that the games are still paying out fairly if I can see regular payout information displayed on the casinos websites, preferably once a month...

One last thing, I wish that they would create more games for the mobile casinos, as at the moment the choice is pretty dire...

Sorry meant for this to be a short post, but once I got going it turned into an essay...

A lot of interesting requests, thanks for all those.

Some of them, however, are very general and impossible for us to address without talking to many operators and/or speaking at conferences - in other words not in time for London.

What I think we're looking for is any issues or suggestions which can be passed on to operators or software manufacturers, rather than industry-wide issues.

Microgaming Question:

If memory serves me well before Viper, MG software would let you know if you had placed a bet and not finished the game. EG - You lost your connection.

However this does not happen any more, that fail safe has been removed.

With the eZbonus system now in use at most MG casinos, the above issue is even more important.

Because of an unfinished game being played with an active bonus it carries the WR over to all sessions until the bet is cleared. Even if you zero out on the original bonus given or any bonus after it was given.

Until the original bonus WR is met your stuck with the WR on all proceeding bonus(s) over and above their own WR terms.

EG - Player has $1 on VP that remains in an unfinished game. Player zeros out. Player continues to get further bonuses but does not realise that the $1 VP game remains unfinished. The $1 bet remaining equals a $1,900 bonus WR. This is always carried over until the original VP game is won or lost.

I met with this exact problem at Casino Share late Dec 2008.

I'd received a bonus and had a good run. Decided to play Level Up VP. My ADSL went down for hours so decided to go to bed.

Woke up next day forgot about the VP and returned to the slots.

The unfinished game remained dormant for months, but it affected ever bonus I received after, as it was still an active bonus as far as MG and the casino was concerned.

Me I'd totally forgot about it.

So...If Microgaming could at least be asked about this and if a notification could be installed to let people know I think this would be a good idea.

Cheers
T

MGS - Constant unrelenting errors with the MG Tournaments.

Here is just the latest example of this - these are bordering on unplayable because of the sheer FREQUENCY of such problems. It is far worse, since the player is PENALISED for these issues, we CANNOT simply "come back later" and continue where we left off most of the time.

This error happened last weekend, and has been repeated again.

I have already tried my first round, only to have the tournament server disconnect half way through and NOT allow me to reconnect within the 3 minutes I had left.

I have waited over an hour, and logged in. The tournament loaded fine, but now this - hardly inspires confidence in Microgaming.

Attempts to address this through "normal channels" have got us nowhere, so maybe this is something that can again be brought to the attention of any top level MGS reps.

There is a blindingly simple solution, just have coins, no timer, then these disconnects and hang-ups will not matter any more than being disconnected from the main casino, we will always be able to sit out for an hour and try again later, hoping the problem has passed.

Well I think that on Tuesday I will be visiting the Microgaming stand to ask what they are going to do about the "less than accredit-worthy" MG casinos - in particular the Grand Rip-off Group...

Hopefully I can grab some bloke called Bryan to back me up when I go there....

:p

Sorry spearmaster, thought it was for casino operators as well as software providers. Will try and write a more relevant post.

More games for mobile casinos. I don't know if I agree with the moral behind mobile phones becoming casinos, but I am addicted, so would love to see more games, as the selection at the moment is pretty poor.

Would also like to see in general more new games that aren't slots. It seems everytime they release a new game it is just another slot. More card games would be good. Maybe if they've run out of ideas, they could do a competition for players to come up with a new table game idea, test the entrants ideas to see if they work and then award the winners with money and lifetime royalties if the game becomes popular.

For the microgaming tournaments I think they need to sort out the bugs that happen, and also if you have trouble getting into the tournament or there is an error which prevents you from playing, you should have your credits that you paid on the buy-in refunded to you. I have gone into tournaments and paid the buy-in, only to struggle to get the game to launch. Once or twice I have had to exit the software and load it up again, and by the time I have done this the tournament is over due to the time limit expiring. And I haven't played at all and I've lost the money I paid to enter. I think if for technical reasons you are unable to play in a tournament you should get your money back. Also I think the blackjack tournaments are great and enjoy them a lot, and think there should be tournaments for more table games, as playing against other players is fun and there is more of an element of skill involved.

I also think software providers should provide monthly payout percentages to show the games are still playing fairly. As the payouts displayed on casino websites are often 6 months or more behind and irrelevant. I don't know who is to blame for this the casinos operators or software providers, but it needs sorting out to maintain player trust.

Also not sure if this is for software providers or casinos but lowering the minimum bet amounts on table games would be cool.

One last thing, when is microgaming going to release their live blackjack. In the live dealer lobby it has been displaying that live blackjack will be coming soon for about a year now.

It is for operators too - but individual questions, rather than something which requires us to talk to a majority of operators. That's just not possible in a short period of time.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions so far. VWM, aren't u coming to the party this year?

Will most casino be offering AUD (australian dollars) as a currency, if no, can they start, im sure a lot of casino's have Aussie clientel so it should be a option across the board like the other currencies, I mean they still have USD but noone form USA can gamble???, they would surely have to cater for the ones playing at there casino.

also maybe have q uick converation on the topic of BOT play, especially the casino's that have used this cluase to confiscate winnings..

Ask Microgaming about the TUSK scandal.

Dont they (MG) do any monitoring of their licensees?

Why were the casinos from TUSK allowed to be bought by Casino Rewards but not the poker skins? Battlefield and Rednines (the two biggest skins) werent allowed to move over to Cake (they had deals worked out).
And why were the skins in first place "forced" to TUSK/MPP?

I will ask MG if they if their 5-reels slots are 'true'(unweigthed) video-slots. (wikipedia definition, also only legal ones in Australia).... Or if they use weighted reels...

I would like to ask any software provider, why they don't implemet any kind of randomness control. If anyone can ask about it - it will be highly appreciated!

It does not seem likely, as things are now moving fast on my Dad's estate. I have an offer for the house which I have accepted, so I may well be called upon at short notice to get things done to stop things from sticking. I have 2 forms to fill out, and the remaining (big) stuff to shift out, as the house must be sold empty (vacant possession). In the current market, it has been bloody hard to shift the house, if it wasn't for the slump, it would have sold in a couple of weeks last Autumn.

Sorry we didn't see you at the party, though we did have the pleasure of meeting Zoozie. If you do get a chance to come down the next couple of days though, let us know, we're all here until Friday noon.

I had a hard time chasing the right people down for some of them. I'l relook at this at the end of the week, and if there are still pressing things, I'll track them down cyberly :D

Were you able to get any answers?

Recent updates in the TUSK scandal makes MG look quite shady.

Spider, without derailing this thread, could you point me in the right direction to read these updates? I admit I've been a bit out of touch, and haven't read everything lately....so I'm definitely missing something here. Thanks.
