before i start letme just say that when u gamble you win some you loose some...and ive nevee been one to grumble..but

ive not had any luck recently..deposits have been disapearing in any casino i try without so much as a sniff of a win...

i deposited 32 quid in 32 red today and took a 32 bonus...so was only playing with 64 to pass a little time...i got a few good wins on lotr and was of up to 500 quite quickly ...what followed was nothing short of obscene...i went from 512 to 0 without so much as a feature hit or free spin feature on so many different slots i lost count...i finally reached my WR when i had 64p left...yes 64p.....

now i was playing a max of £1 a bet on any slot....i find this just cruel..and if it had been any other casino than 32red id have been screaming foul play...it was hard to take and even now im seething at the misfortune of it all....

the whole thing not helped by being on such an awful run ..but its still hard to take .....

ok rant over :)

I hear ya!

I really hear what your saying. I have been there myself. I only play at 3dice now and my god, I can't get a feature to save my life no mater what game I play, and my deposits go faster then the winds in a hurricane. But it is like you said, you win some and lose alot lol. I play at 3dice because being from the US my choices are now limited, and out of all casinos on the net I trust them the most. Not to forget the excellent CSR's there.

Now mind you, I don't gamble to make an extra income, but at the age of 42 (well almost 42, will be there in a month) and being retired, everyone I know works and my daughter is in school, so I play to pass the time. With that being said, it would be nice to hit something once in awhile, I am hoping that my day will come where I can post a great screen shot. I can't hold my breath that long that is why I said HOPING! lol.

Hang in there, we have all been there, and just as frustrated. I am sure I will see some great screenshots from you, and I am looking foward to it.

yes i constantly look on in envy at the winners screen shots..and wonder if that will ever be me...

but as u say these things happen...it all part of the gamble...tbh i dont think it would have bothered me to much..except my luck as been as bad as i ca remember it of late and finally thought my luck had turned...ohhhh boy how wrong was i lol........

ohhhh well theres always tomorrow :)

If you turned 32 quid into 500 your luck isn' that bad . Sometimes you need to sit back and get your perspective. What if you would have turned 320 in to 5000 , would you have quit? I try to set a goal, usually the bonus rollover, if I make it I quit , withdraw , and start over. The break gives you time to settle down and get out of the gambling frenzy that sometimes happens when you are chasing. It is so easy to lose your grip when you get involved in a serious gambling session. Just my two cents, I know exactly what you are going through and sometimes a change of software/venue can work wonders.

Don't be so hard on yourself!!! It happens to all of us. And it is okay to come here and vent, just know your not alone. We have all felt that way at one time or another.

Your right there is always tomorrow, and if not tomorrow there is the next day lol;)

I feel your pain! I had a weekend from hell at 3 different MG casinos (see "screenshots that suck" for the stats),all in it was a £900 loss,I was most annoyed in the manner it got took from me. I admit that this month I have had some big wins also and up until last weekend I was around £800 up at MG casinos, which is superb for me over a month.

The money that took me a month and hours upon hours to accumulate was gone in 3 days over about 5 hours of actual play.It sucks big time and iam really annoyed with myself for giving it back. The problem I have is I play till either I make a good withdrawal or am at zero balance.

But I have learned my lesson hopefully this time,I will dust myself down take a break from slots for a week, make a small deposit and hopefully start winning again.

think the thing that annoyed me most...was getting from 64 to just over 500.....and only making the WR on bonus when i had 64p left...i mean it was only a 32 bonus...should have breezed that with 500 to play with ..all it needed was a few free spin features to tick over with but to go through 500 without any features was the real killer i think...

One of the reasons I rarely take a bonus... my opinion is that you *have* to be in a position to be able to cash out when you are up - unless you are an experienced "grinder" of course but I can't be bothered with that myself :)

...if it wasn't entangled up with a £32 bonus and an obscene £900 WR.

I'm no bonus expert but isn't 15x D&B pretty favourable by comparison these days?

if you feel violated, its your own fault.

if you dont want to be subjected to wr, don't take a bonus.

you made it up from $64 to lot$, what would make you think the road back down to zip would be any different?.

not trying to be argumentative, but it is gambling afterall. ;)

Yes Simmo, 15X D+B is quite favorable nowadays, but without some bonus rounds to get your balance up, you will not end up with a cashout. I take bonuses sometimes, but hate them for that very reason. If I am up a decent amount, I want my money!! :D

mmm i bet you do. hai you doin?

Dont be so harsh Mike. I was expecting something saucy when I saw the thread title and misread the op's username as salty.

If I was up by that much I would grind out the wrs on much lower bets at low-variance slots like skullduggery and normally I would be able to take home 400. The fact is when we are on a good run all hell breaks loose and we dont think we will encounter a bad streak. MG has a lot of different slots and I was once up to 250 at Euro Palace when I decided to low-roll and cash out at least 200 with around 500 in wrs left. I managed to cash out 230 and had many hours of entertainment in the process.

So, its a matter of take your pick. Do you want to go for it and get a monster win or are you satisfied with cashing out 10x your deposit. You cant aim high and when you are down to nought kick yourself so hard. Its just the nature of the beast.

Yep 32Red's bonus is favourable by comparison along with GoWild and 888casino. Though Eurogrand and Prestige offer a slightly lower 12x D&B. :D

That said, isn't bonus taking, the act of becoming obcessed or even consumed by casino marketing. The 1st deposit Soul Suck. :icon_evil

Well, last month the tables were turned. It was a few CASINOS that got violated:D

Casino Classic had the best reaming of all, a TI "megastreak" for 10K, followed a week later by ANOTHER decent hit off same for over 4K, made up to a nice 7K+ from a few other slots all from a £1200 deposit after being paid the 10K.

I wasn't done there, I had GNUF for dessert, 6K off a deposit of £1400 with £700 bonus, and that was after a previous session saw me climb almost to 5K only to "crash and burn" because I wanted to make sure I retained my gold loyalty status going into November.

Betway was then "coffee and mints", with an £800 deposit giving me £2000 off 3 Card Poker.

I am now getting handy with the credit card in the run up to Christmas, to be paid off when these latest withdrawals hit my Neteller. My ageing PC is getting some significant surgery to give it a new lease of life, and enable it to launch a fierce attack on both the Slotsmeister, and the record score of over 300K.

I am even thinking about a new PC that is faster still, and factory overclocked by one of the smaller companies reviewed in the computer buyer magazines.

My turn!

I've made 5 deposits in the last 3 days. 3 with bonuses, 2 without.

I actually made it through one of them with a bonus 30x but had less than 50 in my balance. Was hoping to get it up there to at least a few hundred because we all know being in the US you might as well flush 50 in the toilet as to trying to cash out that much. No luck getting it any higher.

I had a long long long run of misfortune earlier in the year, was down by $4000+ at some point if not more, but got AUD$3700 from a B&M in Brisbane, took on 32red for $3900 with a $100 deposit and did in NordicBet for $900 as well.

Sometimes you just need to take a break and slow down, don't chase for losses and don't chase the big wins either and you'll be doing good in no time,.

Check out the Alienware pcs Vinyl, best you can get for sheer performance in my opinion but you need about 6 grand for a top spec one

They are now DELL, and are not rated so highly now compared with other options.

I have DELL at present, but as I look more closely I have noticed that I may have been "short changed" in the build. It's hard to tell though, because the technology advances so fast.

I looked at a recent review, and didn't see an Alienware anywhere, but it seems some machines from Chillblast put on a cracking performance. SCAN also seem well placed for the very top spec, but even that was only 4K, not 6K.

However, it is possible to get discounts from DELL, and these can knock at least 10% off the price, if not more.

This level of PC may well be overkill for running MGS, which I consider the most bloated of all casino softwares. This one was happy with 4 to 5 simultaneous MGS casinos running at once, and then MGS gave us the new HD lobby and tabs, and it no longer performs as well, particularly in MPV mode and multi-tab "Slotsmeister mode".

I don't want to spend too much with the technology becoming outdated so quickly, and I look for evidence of the abilty to upgrade. I went for the best possible processor for this one, as this has to be the key component in terms of performance, but the other key component (motherboard) may not have been the best, not that a choice was offered.

I will probably have to compare an Alienware with the competition from the specs listing, and see where the differences lie, and who has chosen the best components.

According to my Nephew, Alienware is no longer considered "cool" since DELL took over. He is into gaming, and does reviews for internet radio, so should know. Other reviews suggest Alienware is overpriced for what you get, and perhaps this has been done to make the discounts look better than they are.

Other reviews suggest that self build is not necessarily cheaper either, provided a good company is selected, they know what they are doing, and don't cut corners with components. Short of checking reviews for every damn component they present as a choice, it is largely down to trusting reviews of the overall product.

Many reviews are looking at the SSD option, but I have my doubts because of the way MGS have implemented the installer. There is no choice other than to install to the root of the C: drive, which would be the SSD. MGS then writes thousands of tiny files, and constantly rewrites to them even when the game to which they relate is an old one, and not in need of an update.

SSDs work best as pure boot drives, with a conventional (but fast) drive being used for files that are regularly changed. As SSD comes down in price I might be tempted to test with MGS, but it would be a pointless upgrade on the current system because it only supports SATA II, and most SSDs are now SATA III. I would therefore only get half the potential performance from an SSD.

Instead, I am going for velociraptor, as I have discovered another corner that DELL cut, a mere 5400 rpm boot drive, when 7200 rpm was the norm. 10000 RPM should increase performance, as well as cope with the constant "messing about" every month with the MGS updates. I may find these updates no longer take 2 hours per casino.

Once I have upgraded as much as I can, I will look again at a new PC, and hopefully something even better will have come out, and prices will have dropped on what is now "cutting edge".

My old Windows 98 PC only lasted as long as it did because I replaced the hard drive, memory, and got an ethernet card. What it came with started to REALLY struggle around the time MPV was first introduced, which is what spurred me to buy my current PC.

I hope to be doing a good deal more "violating" of casinos and tournaments soon:D

Drooolllllll! ... please note... and you have probably already taken this into consideration, but just as a general tip when searching for computers, please make sure the power supply is big enough. I can't count the number of PCs I've looked at that seemed to have pretty good bang for the buck, only to realize the power supply was undersized. It's an easy enough DIY upgrade, but who wants to fork over more moolah to 'upgrade' a brand new PC?

Good luck with the upgrade, whichever way you go.

As for the OP... someone want to run the numbers? We all know s/he was lucky to end up with anything left at all. But seeing that nice $500 balance might make the $64 hard to take. If such scenarios are too difficult to swallow, do not take bonuses.

And you guys just don't realize how much we US players envy your ability to actually pick and choose where to play, which software to play..... :(

Yeah, I wasnt none too happy either when Dell took over alienware but their pcs are still the dogs bo**ox and very favourable in many of the reviews ive seen (plus they look oober awesome lol) There is a second choice which i too am considering for my next pc and thats from a company called Falcon NW in the States. They too design custom build rigs focusing on the super top end, but your right for microgaming casinos it is quite a bit on the overkill side and probably not necessary, but then im a pc gamer as well so i drool over having a 6 grand piece of kit lol

As a side note to what Mousey said, also make sure there are enough fans to cool everything inside down. And do yourself a favor, crack the case once in a while and blow out the inside with a can of compressed air. You'd be amazed how much "yuck" accumulates.

I had considered building myself a new computer, but Dell was real comparable in price to what it would cost me to build my own. Unless there is some certain specifics your are looking for, Dell has been putting out some good computers lately.

That's another thing I think I have to upgrade. A barely adequate 305W came with it, and the new graphics card suggests a minimum of 400W. I don't think ANY room was left for upgrades when DELL built this. It's even possible that some of the odd crashes and problems I am now getting are caused by the PSU struggling to meet even the current load, since over time their output decreases (found that out in this round of research).

I think the current graphics card is too underpowered to cope with the new MGS lobby, which is why it keeps pausing during play. I get the same when trying to stream catch-up TV.

Maybe DELL do still use top of the range parts for XPS and Alienware, but it seems they are now marketing anything below this as "budget", and selling them via budget outlets like Saverstore.

Bottom line is this. If you buy a budget price pc exect budget price performance. In my opinion any pc less than 800 quid is budget

Mine was top of the range when I got it, and was about £1400 all in. I ignored all the "budget" options because I knew they would be no good.

If I buy another, I expect a 4 figure price tag, and will probably go for technology that has been out long enough to lose it's premium pricing, but not out so long that it has become obsolete.

This PC is already 4 years old, and was a huge step up from what I had before, and my next will be a huge step up from this one. I think buying too often is a waste of money, better to wait a few years and go for something decent.

I noticed that the Alienware Area 51 has been reviewed by the Gadget show, but has been listed under the "budget PC" category:eek: There are quite a few comments from viewers who simply cannot believe that an Alienware could be this "ordinary". A Dell XPS is "mid range", considered to be of lesser status than Alienware, but the next step up from what I bought 4 years ago.

I don't think one needs "crossfire" graphics to run casinos, so coming in just below this specification with the best possible single GPU might be the best idea.

The other problem with Dell is that it comes complete with "crapware", so after I upgrade this PC I will do a clean install WITHOUT the "crapware". I will then try to get what I actually USE installed, and leave out the rest. A "factory reset" will reinstall a 4 year old McAfee, along with a bunch of other 4 year old trials, and I have found they don't come out cleanly, even if properly uninstalled.

If I don't screw anything up, I may even get the confidence to try building one from kit bundles. Some say this is cheaper, but others say that competition is such that smaller companies will do the build with better expertise, and charge only a small premium over the cost of parts.
