Resolved I can no longer play at Slotocash

Hey guys,
It's not like me to complain and moan usually, lol, but I had to let everyone know. I found this wonderful little casino called slotocash, lol about 8 months ago. Since then, I have deposited over $20,000 betting pennies. I hardly ever see any of it back. I believe the last time I checked, I was down over $17,000 in 8 months betting pennies. Anyway, gambling is gambling, that's what happens. That's not why I'm writing. Now, they have decided under the "responsible gaming act", to ban my account. I can no longer play there. After depositing thousands upon thousands of dollars,and never winning anything worth mentioning, they decide to ban my account. So, just a word to the wise, apparently $20,000 is enough for slotocash to deem that you have a gambling problem, and will ban you for life.

Sorry Heidi, but I'm with the casino on this one.

How are they to know whether $20,000 is a significant amount of money to you? They have a duty to address problem gamblers (even if you are not one) and in this instance, they have done just that. A rogue casino would quite happily let you continue losing without saying a word.

Have you tried speaking with them about it?

I cant ever remember a casino just banning someone out of the blue for losing too much.

My understanding of responsible gaming is to have a self-exclusion program in place for those that request it. Lets face it, there are probably many many players who have a serious gambling problem and I cant see an operator seriously saying "Hey we are making too much money off this guy we better ban him so he takes all that profit someplace else".

Im not sure I agree with this policy actually - we are all adults and we are all responsible for our own actions and only we can come to the conclusion that we have a problem and decide whether or not to do something about it. Its like an overweight person going into McDonalds and the manager saying "Im sorry but we think you're eating too much of our food and you need to lose some weight - no Macs for you!!"

Gambling addiction is an awful thing but banning someone from one casino doesnt really help them at all anyway - they will just go somewhere else and play if they really want to.

However, I do like SlotCash and always have and if they are doing this to be a 'responsible' operator then kudos to them for at least looking beyond the $$$$
 
It is not fair just to ban - they should atleast investigate. maybe he/she is a millionaire and just does this for funa dn dont mind loosing =/
I agree - people with a gambling problem should not gamble and sometimes the casinos may see the signs before we do, however I am not sure that it isfair to just ban without even talking/discussing it,.

Was this the whole story?

I may be wrong, but the way you say 20,000 is the way I would say lost 1,000 over 8 months. Perhaps that is you usual gambling budget, how do they know? It dosen't sound to me like it crushed you or anything, the same way 1,000 over 8 months would not crush me. 20 Gs would. I can afford to gamble 1,000 over that period, maybe you can afford the 20.

Are you banned at all Rivals? If so, maybe they have some strange deposit to cashout ratio rule on fairly new players, I doubt it though. Have you ever self excluded yourself online or anything? The mere fact that you are not bitching about the loss seems to suggest something untold to you by them, or you to us. Not intentionally, they may have that our word is final clause and you may never know.

If you don't have a problem, and that is how you play, take your biz elsewhere, you may have better luck.

I don't think 'Beware of Slotocash' is the correct title for this thread but to each his own. I have been playing at Slotocash since they came online with absolutely no problem. As far I as I concerned they are a very reputable casino.

I kinda don't think we aren't getting the whole story. Possibly there was a little b'ching on your end regarding losses or something else going on?

Maybe they felt like it would be in your best interest to ban you. I remember a thread here not too awfully long ago where a player got banned from a casino after losing a substantial amount. (I know most of you know what I am referring too.)

I see you are from New York. Is it one of the banned states perhaps? Or maybe your IP address is one of the banned states. Just a thought.

$20,000 is a huge amount for me, just so you know. I cannot say that all came from my own bank account. It seems anytime I would win at a Rival Casino, I would cashout, it would go into my quicktender, and then I would stupidly play it back at slotocash. Anyway, this is pretty much the whole story. I deposited thousands, would complain a little, but keep depositing. I got that "gamblers theory" in my head, that the machine eventually had to pay. Every thousand I would put into it, I thought, OMG, it has to pay sometime. Well, this past week I deposited (from my quickender) over $4,000. That's my own fault, I know. But anyway, I saw nothing. All betting pennies. So, slotocash gives me $1,000 free cash. You know within 20 spins I hit a big bonus round, but the playthrough on the money was crazy. So, this was my last complaint to slotocash. I didn't think that they were fair. I have played at all the other Rival casinos without a problem like this, and I don't like the fact that I have lost over $20,000 in 8 months with them betting pennies. I could deposit a thousand dollars and not hit a thing (and had various times), but if I deposited, or they gave me money with a huge playthrough, almost every time I would hit something, but be broke by the time I met the playthrough requirements. I know that this happens, but it seemed to happen everytime at SlotoCash. Anyway, maybe the title was wrong, my misfortune there. I just don't think it was very fair to ban me when I broke no rules or restrictions. I just am a normal everyday gambler, that had an obsession :eek: with believing that eventually one casino, and the same exact game everytime I played, would have to pay back. I play at all other rival casinos and they are wonderful. It just must be that slotocash and I just never could click I guess. I just wanted to share my story. I know they are reputable, and process fast cashouts, but I have had an extremely bad experience.

maybe they thought that all your whining from your loss's was just to much an the fact that you do live in a banned state was enough
maybe they thought gee they are gonna go an tell some one that they lost $20K an shouldnt have been allowed to deposit because you are in a banned state

what I would like to know is why did you continue to feed a dead horse for 20K worth makes no sense to me

Are you saying you played only 20c bets? Or max bet on pennies which is is $2 per spin.....I guess it doesnt really matter that much but it would give a bit of a different slant to your argument.

If the reason is something to do with you living in New York, then the casino should refund all your deposits IMO - however I would think they would have picked this up a lot earlier.

I still have a feeling there is something missing here, but Im happy, as usual, to stand corrected.

How can you be with the casino on this one? They should love players like her. This situation has been discussed in other threads, and like you said $20,000 may be pocket change for her, or other players. Hell, there's a lot of high stakes blackjack/craps players that will throw that much, and more, on a single hand/roll of the dice.

Either way, this isn't a reason to "beware" of slotocash, it's just a good indication for you to move on, Heidi :)

I think it's good that a casino bans a player they deem to be a problem gambler, however that can't be determined by the amounts lost. Some people can easily afford to lose $20k, others can't. I'm going to guess that the casino's decision had to do more what was said in the communications with this player, rather than with the amount lost.

Agree. I also think the amount lost is somewhat irrelevant. The communications have probably included questionalizing the fairness of games etc. I understand this as Rivals wont even tell you your payout percentage.

I also recall that the OP had some similar issues last year with TIV (?). And usually it takes quite much for an casino to ban a player for losing too much, after all they make the most of their profits from problem gamblers.

OT I cant see why anyone would deposit any large sums at Rivals.

I don't think it has anything to do with me being in a banned state. I probably did get in over my head at Slotocash, and they probably did make the right decision. I just received my very 1st e-mail from them, after posting a thread on here, lol. I posted my first thread in anger. They know how much money I make a year, and how much I have lost, and decided to ban my account for that reason. So sorry for all the trouble. I still stand by my belief that their machines are extremely tight and I can't believe I've gone through almost 20K in less than a year betting pennies (sometimes the max, sometimes not), but that's a lot of money even if I was betting the max each time. Anyway, such is the life of a gambler. They are reputable, and have always processed extremely fast cashouts, so I guess that's it. Sorry to have written in anger, but just still upset at the situation. I guess it will save me a bunch in the long run.

Thank you for honest reply, if even a little late. Don't worry about writing in anger we all do it. Its just important on this forum to tell all of the details. I'm fairly new to the forum, but some of the guys have been on here a long time, and seen and heard it all. They just know when something isn't quite right. Its really tough when you trash a good casino like Sloto.

It was, and is my opinion that it is good of casinos to be aware of their players and to look after their needs. While most probably think the casino should have no say in how we are going about our gambling, it showed to me that they had taken a decision to ban, possibly due to the amounts lost.

If a casino wants to do this, I don't believe it should be an outright ban and they should speak to the player to talk over their concerns. It just strikes me that a casino which is actively aware of all of its members is a far better place than one which is happy to have no concerns over players' deposits.

Kind of puts a new twist on things. We see enough casinos refusing withdrawals, yet here is one refusing deposits. Doesn't happen often.

I have to retract all of my statements, simply because Heidi came out and said that Sloto knew her financial standing, and banned her because it.

This is just another case of someone telling us only what they want us to hear, to get people on their side.

This thread would have taken a totally different road from the get-go if she had came right out and let us know what the exact circumstances were.

You know how they know? I'm going to take an educated guess here:

I think they probably thought something didn't act up, as well, and decided to lock the account and figure out what's going on.

Once communication started, I'm sure the issue of Heidi's finances was brought up, and she told them, hoping that just maybe they would re-open her account.

You can in fact run a BASIC credit report on someone without their social security number, but the only information that is returned to the requester is basic identity stuff...current address on record, etc. There is no possible way for them to find out your credit score, etc, without a social security number. In fact, it's virtually impossible to figure out how much a person earns in a year by their credit report.

Even so, if they hit your credit report for any reason, they have to have your authorization to do so. Sure, they can run it without your permission, but you could sue the hell out of them for doing so.

Back to topic -

Personally, I also would have told them that it's none of their damn business, and that there's plenty of other casinos out there that would welcome my play.

IMO it was the opposite. She may have been complaining about no wins and said something like," I've lost more than I make in a year/ 6 mos. whatever. They then realized that she should not be gambling what she could not afford. We may be totally off, but that's what I was thinking.
