You could check youtube to get a better understanding. People like daniel negreanu has a channel which will provide decent basic information for you to understand the game better. Youll find a fair few youtube vids on basic poker etc.
You could also try downloading doyle brunsons super system or super system 2, or any decent poker players book. although the super system 1(published 1979 lol) is outdated its still a good read, it is generally referred to as the bible of poker. Super system 2 being published in 2004. You can dl them via file sharing programs/torrents.
Just some thoughts.
As said, be careful if you dont understand the game. Good players will pick up on that quickly after they see how a new player is playing his cards... and there are aLOT of people hunting new players, to the point you tend to see familiar players all joining the same table upon seeing a fresh target, at times all of them specifically targetting that new player ... and then all leaving moments after - once that new player leaves the table. Not working together but at times all of them having the same intention. Ive seen this so many times online it does make me sad to watch players unaware that most of the table sat down with the intention of taking that particular persons money.

Sadly, today I rolled through the £400 I won yesterday, which covered the £350 I lost Friday.
